Damn, great clip. I upgraded from an E39 to an E90, but still remember the day I saw an E36 for the first time, back in 1992, it was like looking at a bloody spaceship!! Same feeling with the E46, love its looks. As much as I hated the Bangle 7 series, I really loved this design, I think it looked very elegant. Take a look at an e46 today and you will love it, ages very well, which is more than you can say from a bloody ricer, LOL...

The E46 is 200,000+ miles old and still going strong. Honestly if it is serviced well, i can't see how it will ever stop working ?

Like all manufactured cars, it did have its issues. Front bushes, rear subframe on some, water pump if you were unlucky, perhaps a doorbrake for heavy handed people on the coupe doors, camshaft sensors may need upgrading, but thats about it ! The engine, electrics (and there is alot of it), paintwork and chassis seem invincible.

I was lucky. I applied for a student exchange summer job at age 20. I live in Canada and the job was in Belgium at the Ford plant, working in the press shop. I saw rolls of sheet metal formed into parts and welded togther in jigs. Press shop work makes you part of the machine. The first few shifts seemed like 20 hours of boredom. After a couple of months, you switch into dream mode and the shift flies by. The work rewires your brain. I would prefer my brain was OE, but Europe was Great.

Not all BMW E46s had subframe problems. (Besides, this issue is small fries compared to Toyota's recent issues with their accelerators killing dozens of people.) I had mine inspected by the dealership and a third party to keep the dealers honest and it's perfectly intact. I've enjoyed my E46 325i extensively. 111,000 miles and it's hardly had any issues at all. I'd go so far as to call it my favorite car I've owned so far.

hmm well now its been swapped for an M3 s52, i won't go into detail on the mods you can check my videos if you want to read whats been done. but the e46 driving experience isn't as involved. my sisters getting a 330ci e46 and I'm in no way jealous. the M car i built has hydraulic steering (not electric) the throttle body isn't electric like the e46 and therefor the accelerator doesn't delay.. i could go on and on but understand what I'm saying the e36 has a much more raw feel.
