@KIMBLI23 I personally fish out at Kingman State Lake a lot. Caught many 3 and 4 lbers in 2011. best bet is around lilly pads and weed beds when they come up. Spinnerbaits, jigs and topwater frogs killed it for me during the summer to fall months. And Kingman lake isnt much of a drive from wichita. I live in Hutchinson so im kinda in the same boat as you as far as "local" places. Atleast a 30 min drive for anywhere decent.

@reggie6379 It all depends on the cover im fishing. if i can see the whole branch i will first texas rig weigtless my stick worms to see if i can pull fish out of it. If i do i may still switch it to wacky rig if i know i cant get snagged on the branch. Sometimes the wacky rig will pull a more quality fish out of cover and get harder strikes also. but mostly around cover its texas weightless for me. Let it sink down and give it a few little pops all the way back to the bank.
@MrREESESDUDE yeah they work good but i have since started using the strike king version of senkos. i like them alot and i seem to catch more fish off of them. but as ive started buying different brands of stick baits, ive realized that they all do the same job. just a preference thing i guess lol.
