ok, this is the worst phone ever. w995 is a sorry piece of equipment, it is slow and has almost nothing that is compatible to it. The only good thing is the sound of it, and not even so much so because the player is slow to browse.
the camera is terrible, it takes ok pictures during the day but sucks at night, this is a bad phone.

Well, 995 isn't really a smartphone, but everything a smartphone does you can do with this too and more! This is a mix of cybershot and walkman which is really AWESOME!! I'll sell my Vivaz Pro and buy this one, I'm serious! Who needs a touchscreen?!

Yes, ORANGE! Big mistake.. Orange and vodafone load their own crap onto the phone so you dont get it how sony intended it to be. You will loose features if you ever buy a phone form them.. Best thing to do is to go to the carphone whorehouse and get it on o2, as they do not put their own shit on there. Also, phones from the carphone whorehouse are automatically unlocked. So you could go straight to orange too... No, I have had not problems with it at all.
I have used it on the way to the airport and I have used it in london... But it is best on driving. When you walk It kinda sent me round in circles at one point because it doesnt roate to north on walking.

1) When the phone is on standby does an envelope appear on the screen and stay on to show you there is a message waiting? i really like this feature but on some of the new phones there don't have anything to tell you of missed messages.

Reasons why the iphone is better than the W995.
(1) 8.1 mega-pixel camera is almost the same as the iphone, i can't see the difference after printed out.
(2) The app store covers all those GPS functions on the W995.
(3) I think the music on iphone is probably better than on the W995 right?
(4) The app store on the iphone covers almost all useful applictions on the 995 including all interesting thing (Cooking Mama, GTA, Dog Whistle...)

Yes, ORANGE! Big mistake.. Orange and vodafone load their own crap onto the phone so you dont get it how sony intended it to be. You will loose features if you ever buy a phone form them.. Best thing to do is to go to the carphone whorehouse and get it on o2, as they do not put their own shit on there. Also, phones from the carphone whorehouse are automatically unlocked. So you could go straight to orange too... No, I have had not problems with it at all.

I have used it on the way to the airport and I have used it in london... But it is best on driving. When you walk It kinda sent me round in circles at one point because it doesnt roate to north on walking.

Ive had the i phone and i can tell you now , there shite , my cousin has this phone and i have compaired the 2 , this phone is way way better in so many ways , everything about this phone is better , and you can get free gaming on it , this phone has better internet and a much better camera than the iphone ... It will happen and is happening. Most of the ppl I know have changed to an iPhone after a period of jealous hate. Pretty soon everyone will be tapping there iPhone screens, doin there shopping or skypeing someone they know in a different country. Or even if an iPhone owner had there own business, they could charge their customers credit cards on their iPhone with ease!!! And that's not even scratching the surface of an iPhone. Did you pay for that? And by the way... I bought a brand new 32gb ipod touch yesterday. I have got 5 ipods and I could have an iPhone if I wanted one. But I don't because I don't like them ok.. the reason you would want to buy a iphone is cos there better i have both remember ..... i know i have used them both the iphone is faster and has ipod sound quality and you can download thousands of apps and it looks awsome , i work in trael and can be in 4 countrys a day and the iphone switches beetween providers and settings smoothly and 02 keep me conected every were with the iphone bbuissness package , the sony ericsson gets confused and runs out of battery because of switching, ......

I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions for me?
1) When the phone is on standby does an envelope appear on the screen and stay on to show you there is a message waiting? i really like this feature but on some of the new phones there don't have anything to tell you of missed messages.
2) Can you arrange the text inbox so it doesn't display the first line of the message? I live privacy and don't want my texts displayed if I open the inbox. Hope you can help me. Thanks!
