How do you smudge with the water tool?

How is the circle part so big and your color are is so small !? i see everyone do this !!

@VocaloidGuyXane that's because they are using a tablet, when you set the program to react to the pressure of the pen, the size of the circle is like how big the brush can be. when you press down less than the maximum pressure, the colour distributed is less than the circle. its like how you can have a huge brush irl, yet paint thinner lines.

Do you put the shading and highlights on separate layers or all on the same layer?

@xXLordMuffinXx Seperate for me. Some people do it all on the same layer, but sometimes it gets too messy when I do it. I'm just an organized person in general, so everything has its own layer :)

you say it's not your picture, how do you manage to color it without covering the lines? I can't do it even if I have several layers.

Make sure the Layer property is Multiply, not Normal

@serverwolf I wish it came with my tablet ); You can download it in the link I'm sending you in a message but it's a 31 day trial. if you want to buy it, its only about $60 which isn't bad compared to what photoshop goes for o.o if you download it, scroll down the page to the one tht says "Full Installation" :)
