If this movie scares you, then either your age or your IQ is in the single digits. Come to think of it, those two attributes probably describe the person who wrote this script, maybe even the one who greenlit the project as well.
Yeah, well we believers don't put no stock in anyone's curse. Hell, we live in a cursed time in America as it is with corrupt wicked people who harm other on purpose. Why believe this old lie? LOL. Really, u don't fear when you love and worship the One True Living GOD. You don't see these young guys even thinking it.
So why didn't the curse get the woman who fired the shot? Oh well...the tiresome recap really drags things out. This movie's real weakness was its tendency to pad out and have endless flashbacks.

You could go to the drugstore and find rows of paperbacks published by Ace or Bantam or Lancer that also attempted to link UFOs, witchcraft, telekinesis, Bigfoot, ghosts, and ancient civilizations in some vague fashion. If you find that sort of thing amusing (as I do, when I'm in the right mood), check out "Mysteries from Beyond Earth".
Although the film probably would've been stronger without the review it's still kind of nice to go over it again just to be reminded how great the stories were,but it weakens the mystery somewhat. I didn't think of it until the guy was saying that maybe they found evil in the hole because that's what they were EXPECTING to find, but it struck me how similar it was to the dark side cave on Dagobah in "The Empire Strikes Back". Luke takes his weapons expecting trouble, and finds it.

Not all things can be explained away. Some things still remain a mystery and always will.

Harsh and condescending.
It's a simple old fashioned ghost story meant to make a point about the mysteries of the world not so much to scare.
And yes, the situations it shows are scary if one thinks about them.

Hehe, Serling didn´t even narrate that. Serling was great as always but even he couldn´t lift this movie much.
