@Supergungun I don't know. Look, I remember when people rarely wen't on the computer and when you did it would take a lifetime to load and the internet had that annoying dial up sound all the time. I remember when nobody had a cell phone and I remember watching cartoons on TV and movies on the VHS. I remember the turn of the millenum and how exited everyone was. I remember everyone talking about 911. Some of the younger kids might know, try the 98's. They are a world apart from you and me.
I think generation y is diverse. We are the generation saw the decline of western society before our eyes. There are one slike snooki who just want to party and others like me who want to do a some thing about it. We are generation did what baby booms thought was good economic model. We went to college hoping that will be the key getting a middle class jobs but once we out college the old system is gone. It now what you can do with college degree and getting into skill labor.
My generation is disgusting, I wish I lived to see the 50's 60's even 30's. This is the era of complete selfishness and degradation. I don't understand how people don't go insane in this day and age.
being a young person in the 2000s was fucking horrible and I don't see it getting any better in the 10s. gen y is the generation with no conscience young people nowadays know how bad it is but we have that attitude of oh well theres nothing we can do about it so lets just party and have fun. its sad.
@mmtna maybe we might be the first gen ta start a revolution in the past 4 decades, cause anarchy in the streets or 75% of us might actually go insane, i no i kinda did cause nothin makes sense no more an no one seems ta care.
@mmtna I feel alienated from my own generation and it really scares me. I was born in 1995 so one could argue I am Gen Z, but the timeframes place me in both Z and Y. I remember 9/11 and the turn of the century, I remember I once saw a music video on MTV so I think of myself as Y. That's really all I have in common with my age group along with internet references. I don't like the popular music of today or the style or anything at all. I want to go back or forward as long as I don't stay here.

generally speaking yes. "we all" dont resist. but if you talk to individuals they seem to at least "feel" how bad things are even if unable to articulate it. as for me and my squad, we resist the new world order with hard passions.
