  • Anyone who covers this song is A-ok in my book! Heck, for that matter, anyone who even KNOWS this song gets my vote! Good work.

  • Excelente !!! :))

  • Cute, talented girls - nice cover of the Shangri-Las' song - I really like the guitar riffs.

  • I like this version it is really cheerful the way music should be and people to go with the flow. I would be happy if the song was 30 minutes long well done

  • These girls are of course not the Shangri-Las. The original version was the 'b' side of 'I Can Never Go Home Anymore' both of which had Mary Weiss on lead. It's from 1965.

  • How out of it are they in this clip? I love this song to pieces but in the video they so blow their cool. I've seen more elegant truck drivers. (Well, actually I haven't but you get my point).

  • "Sophisticated Boom Boom" (1966)

  • Nice! Lead sounds a lot like Mary.

  • i love this em! so great.

  • Captures the original flavah!

  • Great. What year was this made? JOE

  • very very cool . . . and sophisticated! . . Mary would be impressed !

  • @silverspaceflyer

I'm not an expert, but I think the original lead is sung by one of the twins (Mary Anne Ganser)

  • @okidito Wikipedia article on the SLs says it was Mary Ann.

  • @okidito CORRECT.
