mk4 and mk5 r32 IS VR6.

vr6 is nothing to be branded. its a 6cly engine with cylinders tilted at 10.6° or 15° angles SIR

something between V6 and R(inline)6 therefor, they called it VR6

new vw v6 engines are angled at standard angles, trerefor only V6 such as passats v6

r32s engines are 3.2 vr6s

mk3 had 2.8 vr6

mk4 also came with engines 2.8vr6 and 2.3vr5

new vw all go tsi, so mk6 is r20- 2.0 4 cyl with million upgrades.

it does make power but vw r are all about sound, and it loses miserably to vr6 engines.

both 2.8 an 3.2 are vr6, beautifully engeeniered, durable and powerful. mated with turbo or/and supercharger=fucking insane. only downside is fuel efficiency. thanks to useless and idiotic go_green effect around the globe, engines are downsized and vr6 are left out. i hope vw brings them back into life with new tehnologies..

I have the GTI but it is still fun to rip the ebrake. Trick is to hold the button on the lever and give it a quick yank when you want to drift. You could get the car to skid or do a full 360 depending on your momentum.
