Is it hard to play the Saxaphone? how long have you been going at it, cause i was considering giving it a try but budgets tight so yah i wanna hear your opinion. and i know its all about the love&passion and shit but i just wanna know is it super hard and shtudd
@ChocoaNuggetz It's easy to play - badly. It takes disciplined practice routines to become a player you'd want to listen to. You gotta love it. The great thing about the web is that there are a lot of places to find stuff on technique and practice tips.
Hi can u please give me advice, ive been encouraged to learn the alto sax and from what ive been told there is no way that teeth damaged can be avoided!!!!!!!???? bottom line is that teeth wil be damaged period!!!?? please advice me on how serious this is in details when u can :) when i heard this it was very discouraging it is horrible!!!!!! I feel like my aspirations to play are crumbling please educate me
You've got a pretty good sound. Have you ever played on a 992 series Yani, preferrably S992 or T992? If so, what was your experience with them? I've never actually played on them but they seem like they'd be a dream to play.
thats really cool even if its only arpegios, i play sax and i have some videos and if you could tell me wat you think of them i'd appriciate it alot thanks, o search kyle meraz to find them
highly recommend something like this for a jazz band, but to start marching band...use an intermediate or maybe even a beginner model. The reason is because of the abuse the horn is gonna take over the marching seasons; definitely would wanna take care of a good horn
hey guys im like brand new to all these instruments and stuff i play clarinet at my middle scool and im looking into switching over to the saxaphone i was wondering what kind of saxaphone is this like alto soprano if u know please tell me
this is a tenor. saprano kinda is shaped like a clarinet and is i think, second highest in pitch in the saxophones. the only one higher than a saprano is a sapranino. and alto is the other middle voice saxophone.
No actually I was just saying it because I know Yanagisawas are sexpensive as hell, so unless you're pretty serious about music you would be wasting your money, as the difference in the performance is so small compared to an "affordable" brand.
Damn, this makes me miss tenor (I've been doing just alto and soprano at college for the past three months). You sound good man, nice clean ranges and cool, phat airy tone. I too wish I had the cash for it, but my Serie II alto comes first!
Awesome player. Great altissimo. Hollow sound? possible MP issue though. Other than that, great work. I hope you are enjoying your next new sax (I hope you have a new one)
You sound great man, you could take your playing places. I assume you already play in some form of local band, or ensemble, or free lance, because you sure know what you're doing. Good stuff, I like what you blow. Beautiful horn too, wish I could pick one up :/.
U r blowing very good Jazz. I am more interested in your blowing then the instrument. Nice if you can post a video of yourself blowing some badass music.
Damn, what's the tune at 1:02?

I like the Yanagisawa horn. I believe you are using a Vandoran optimum ligature, correct? Have you ever tried a Bay or Winslow?

I've tried Bay and wasn't too crazy about it. Have you tried any of the Ultimate Ligatures? Or perhaps the Ishimori Ligature?
