  • It's impossible to legalize Marijuana. The Federal Gov. illegalized it therefore the stats can't do a thing about it.

  • Apparently john lovell's mind altering substance is a fork...

  • the haters lit the like joint

  • make it a pound

  • the Illuminati wants it illegal because marijuana opens people eyes and makes them see clear bob marley saw "why do they want to do so much good for people why???"-Bob Marley

    Thumbs up

  • If i see that fat guy ima kick him in his fat ass face.

  • Legalize it...

  • why on earth would we want to legalize the most beneficial plant on earth? we would lose all our money!

  • Make 420 a national holiday that is on tv everywhere and celebrated just like the fourth of july or any other american holiday(no i am not mentioning christmas because thats religion descrimination)you love it i love it america loves it promote marijuana as a commercial social smoke

  • DEAR EVERYBODY

if you are in support of a more happy america less crime for your children a more financially stable america

donate to the cause because if it starts with california the rest of America will follow along with most likely canada(no i am not in direct communication with this cause)but im definetly going to donate down to my lst dime..you can afford to donate just alittle for what some consider a "religion"or in a more likely case a life style:)

  • -it would stop people from getting into more hardcore drugs because it will feel more casual

-more tax money=more money for EVERYTHING

    -everybody more happy

-less crime all together im estimating approximately half of our crime would go away (because the more badass people feel or if they feel they're breaking the law they feel the need to also be in a gang this will eliminate that 100%)

-more healthy america(leaves are healthy to eat-better the lettuce for you)

    -jobs

    -hemp(cheap material)

  • the only reason stupid marijuana is worth growing is all because of its price. if it is cheap, no one is willing to spend thousands for an indoor grow room.

  • I've never wanted to do any kind of criminal activity when smoking Cannabis, everyone who knocks it doesn't know shit about it.

  • Let your voice be heard and vote to Support or Oppose here:

    topix.com/issue/marijuana

  • Fuck recreational use. Medicinal marijuana, I understand and I support, but recreational marijuana is fucking stupid. Ive seen way too many high-school/college peers screw up, starting with marijuana, and moving onto other, more potent drugs. What is disgusting is how they claim that marijuana has improved their lives, yet they are fucking dropouts with no education, and total lack of respect for themselves.

Legalizing marijuana will make it harder for minors to obtain pot? Yea. . . .

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation Lol, your argument I've heard countless times. I've seen many more high school grads and college grads that smoke than not. You can say the same thing for milk or any drink and say, "This substance leads to alcohol abuse which then leads to hard liquor." The gateway drug doesn't work. I've smoked marijuana for ages and never even considered anything more. It has led me to be able to relax more and actually concentrate on my work.

  • @imbarisaxy

Wrong. I do believe the gateway drug theory works

    1. People who use any substance to get a "high" like marijuana are several times more likely to use other drugs.

    2. Marijuana users are several times more likely to use other drugs; The statistics are undeniable, look it up.

    3. Comparing milk and alcohol is an invalid analogy; People don't drink milk to alter their state of mind like alcohol. Marijuana is consumed not because it is simply consumable, but because it has effects

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation 1. Source please because obviously it isn't that way with me and countless others. 2. How about you cite a reliable source rather than telling me to look it up since I have seen nothing on it but say a Fox News report. 3. No it's not because when I consume alcohol it's very little and it's for when I socialize with my buds and have an enjoyable conversation, I have no want to get drunk or even buzzed.

  • @imbarisaxy

    My pleasure.

    1. Andrew R. Morral, Daniel F. McCaffre & Susan M. Paddock, "Reassessing the marijuana gateway effect"

"The third phenomenon used to support claims of a marijuana gateway effect concerns the strong relationship between the frequency of marijuana consumption and the risk of hard drug initiation: As frequency of marijuana use increases, so does the risk of initiating hard drug use". . .

  • @imbarisaxy . . . "Youths reporting 50 or more uses of cannabis in the past year. . . 140 times greater than those for youths reporting no marijuana use".

    2. Michael Vaughn, John Wallace, Brian Perron, Valire Copeland, Mathew Howard, "Does Marijuana use serve as a gateway to cigarette use for high risk african american youth?". . . "As hypothesized, African Americans were significantly more likely to use marijuana before cigarettes. More specifically, over 1/3rd. . . use marijauana before cig"

  • @imbarisaxy

    3. Tullis, Laura Michelle, DuPont, Robert, Frost-Pineda, Kimberly, Gold, Mark S. "Marijuana and Tobacco: A major Connection?". . . " While tobacco use does commonly precede marijuana use, we propose that marijuana may be a "gateway drug" to tobacco smoking. Our research with university students is suggesting that cigarette-smoking initiation often follows or coincides with marijuana use."

  • @imbarisaxy

Golub, Andrew, Johnson, Bruce D. Journal of studies on Alcohol, "The Shifting importance of alcohol and marijuana as gateway substances among serious drug abusers". . . "Suggests that persons tend to follow a common pathway from using alcohol as youths to possible use of marijuana as teens leading to the use more serious substances as adults."

  • @imbarisaxy

Aight, im done with sources. Look some more up yourself; You can use any academic search database, University database, or your local library. The information isn't that hard to find. You think my sources are from fox news? Your assumption that I an uneducated idiot on this subject will kill you buddy. And another thing, I don't see you showing my any academic/University sources to prove me otherwise. Show me your sources, I have already given you a few out of hundreds.

  • the gateway theory is bullshit. Its prohibition related. Both marijuana and hard drugs like crack and heroin are both sold by the same people (criminal drug dealers). If somebody wants marijuana and the dealer runs out, the dealer might offer something else. It has nothing do with users of marijuana wanting to try other drugs.

  • @imbarisaxy

And, I have heard your argument countless times. I have seen groups of pot smokers who fail at school, do not care about their education, and for many, eventually drop out. What is so odd is that almost all of these pot smokers claim that they are doing well in school and that marijuana helps them in their academic "success". It is a shame when I find out later that have dropped out, or have other academic problems.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation I've seen groups of them do otherwise. Sure, there's the stereotypical pothead who doesn't give a shit about anything, then there are more "modern" potheads that aren't. I definitely know more that graduated that smoked than not, hell the majority of people I went to school with smoked, except for the preps of course. The biggest pothead I know is majoring in biomed engineering at UTK and is probably the smartest kid I know. It has to do with location from what I've seen.

  • @imbarisaxy

Since we are arguing on the topic of sources, can you give me your great source that proves that "there are more "modern" potheads" that aren't failing? Can you show me your study on adolescent success and marijuana use? I can't wait to see you cite this one; I wouldn't be surprised if you gave me a pro marijuana site. Lets just make things clear, I consider those sources crap. Give me a university study.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation I could name off about 15 people I could get pot from and MAYBE three that would/could get me alcohol, yes weed is ten times easier to get than alcohol since it's not regulated.

  • @imbarisaxy

Once again, I will say there is an unfortunately large percentage of marijuana smokers who believe that marijuana is no more harmful than water. Because of this mentality, many marijuana smokers will, sell marijuana to minors to make fast money. You might try to convince me that the government will prevent this with sting operations, but sting operations will not be any more successful at stopping illegal marijuana sales to minors than the sting operations they perform now.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation The same thing that is happening with marijuana prohibition is the same as it was with alcohol prohibition, and if you can't see that, this won't go anywhere. Of course there will be some that will sell if it's legal, but it will go down drastically. Just like with alcohol. "

sting operations will not be any more successful at stopping illegal marijuana sales to minors than the sting operations they perform now." Prove it

  • @imbarisaxy

    Sure thing

George S. Yacoubain, Jr. J.D. PH. D. " Assessing the relationship between marijuana availability and marijuana use: A legal and sociological comparison between the United States and the Netherlands"... "While depenalization had virtually no effect on levels of marijuana use, sharp increases of marijuana use were witnessed between 1984 and 1996 when retail access to mari-

    juana increased. "

  • @imbarisaxy "For persons between the ages of 18 and 20", "30-day marijuana use increased from 8.5 percent to 18.5 percent. As a comparison, data from the United States and Norway, two countries that aggressively enforce marijuana bans, indicated that during this same timeframe use among youth declined"

Legalization increased marijuana use among youth by 10%, more than double the amount before it was legal. Legal penalties did not reduce the amount of illegal sales to minors.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation heres thing its alot less dangerous then any other high even if that happend

  • @imbarisaxy

By the way, If you are so confident that legalizing marijuana, and regulating sales will reduce consumption among minors, I invite you to prove your claims. You aren't the only one who is asking for valid studies and sources.

  • kids say its easier for them to get marijuana than it is to get alcohol. drug dealers dont ask for id

  • @bloomingdedalus You know I've see the countless comments like this do you see how small you are... why do you do this?

to see bloomingdedalus get owned go to "The God Delusion Excerpt: Hate Mail" that would be the last one.

  • I do not smoke marihuana, but I do believe that if you legalize it nothing would happen to the society , I mean the one whos a junkie, stays as a junkie for ever, normal people would not buy it even if its legal.

  • John Lovell=douche?

  • California blew it! WTF? You fucking had in the palm of your fucking hand! too high to go vote? fucking idiots. YOU BLEW IT!

  • hang in there man. you're fighting the good fight. even my pastor, mom, and grandma know that weed being illegal is ridiculous, and grandma's 91 yrs old.

10, 20, 30 years from now we'll look back on this and laugh.

it shouldn't just be legal, it should be mandatory for some people. :)

  • @keogh004 I like how you acknowledge that God created the plant and not man. I think anyone against God's creations is worse than a anti-christ, but anti-God. The Bible says actions define a person and not what goes into them. So your actions display weither your a true Christian or not. I just don't see how some can claim to be Christian and be for the outlaw of plants and animals. I agree with your comment. Peace!

  • legalize it all over the USA, It would help mellow out every one due to these harsh times.

  • Legalize. Dont Repress....

  • You want revenue? I am a medical user and grow my own. Ever since I started, I have been saving thousands every year not buying pot. That money has returned to my local economy in the form of regular household purchases. Now multiply this by the number of cannabis users and you see where the money is coming from and where its been going. The choice is OURS!

  • @sconeofark Wow How Hard is it to grow? and is the time waiting worth it... Yield per plant average?? thanks

  • after that the reporter probably got blazed as shit

  • as of oct. 17 49% opposed legalization of marijuana. with 44% in favor and 7% undecided. come on cali. be in favor and legalize the herb!! if prop 19 is passed itso ne step closer to a weed legal america!

  • im kinda worderin... if they do legalize weed all across america... would they start makin the bud less potent over time or wat?? please give me as many opinions as possible.

  • @penguiana It would probably get to a certain point where the THC wont get any higher. but! it will be in different quanties as in, some Bud might be 10% thc, or for the people who like to trip more or be much higher they can buy weed with 20+% thc. it will prob vary from each different cannabis. But its not legal yet and i cant predict the furure.

  • Marijuana should be Legalized but Regulated like Alcohol in California since it has similar Health Effects as Alcohol and Tobacco. Which are both Legal with Regulation.

  • Everyone in California make sure you register to vote before Oct 18th so you can vote Nov. 2nd for the legalization of marijuana! Go Prop 19!

  • Amsterfornia

  • 44% of the people opposing this are buncha pussy bitches that need to get slapped >:O

  • I`ts too bad that some of the medpot clinics are against prop 19. I guess that they don`t want to share the profits. Being a med user myself any steps against harm reduction should be applauded. Do sick people have a right to vegetables and the healthy can do without?

  • CALIFORNIA, it's time.

    Californians supporting Prop 19.

  • HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK, WHERE IS THAT ROOM.

  • 44% of people who didnt vote are to stoned

  • Do it, and the world has legal weed. It's that SIMPLE.

  • I know this is only my opinion, but it seems a no-brainer to legalize pot. Why are cigarettes OK? Essentially they only make you addicted & kill you; But they've been around for so long, no-one can illegalize it now. There are thousands of lobbyists for the tobacco companies making sure they stay legal. Whereas marijuana is completely natural & safe. Not COMPLETELY safe, but in the long run a million times more so than alcohol & tobbacco. Why SHOULDN'T it be legal?

  • THUMBS UP if your going to vote YES!!!!!

  • we can do this. i'm in oregon and routing for you cali DO IT!

  • OK so when this passes they better release Marc Emery!

  • the short clips they keep repeating make weed smoking look nasty

  • VOTE YES! ON PROP 19....... NOV 10 tell friends and peers, its up to you.

    RobSantini11 14 seconds ago

  • 2.00 tht guy fukin talks shiiit weeed makes u rebell meanin think fukin dum ass

  • SCREW YOU JOHN LOVELL!!!!

  • Since mexico tries to be like the US, if this passes they'll probably also make it legal here.

    Vote yes on PROP. 19!

  • EVERYONE IN CA VOTE YES

  • great fucking video.

  • Ways legalization might effect you even if you don't use cannabis:

It would clean up the streets from drugs like crystal meth and painkillers/heroin.

It would create a multitude of new jobs.

taxation would contribute to flailing economy.

There would less of a need for dangerous prescription drugs. ( Drawing more attention to more natural medicines)

Its a great source of energy, oil, hemp paper, milk, fabric, rope, art, its a renewable energy source because of its rapid growth rate. HEMP! 2010!

  • @AmericanAnarchist350 hjow would it clean up the streets of more phychotic drugs? isnt it a gateway? (im pro legalization)

  • @rickmartinez11 The gateway theory is a lie.

1 in 100 marijuana users move on to heavier drugs like cocaine or heroin, and this is only because it is thrown into the category of all those hard drugs, it's NOT a hard drug, but because it's illegal, its thrown on the same market, causing the problem.

The gateway theory uses Faulty logic, a false cause fallacy. It suggests that using one substance in a direct association to another. As if, like drinking kool aid leads to alcohol. It doesn't work.

  • @drpeppa2357 yea plus it would be cheaper so u could get more high

  • Comment removed

  • I don't care for marijuana, and wouldn't smoke it if it were legal, but I'd still vote to legalize if given the option.

  • @2shplahs In Nov., you should be able to vote at the same place you vote for anything else. Schools, libraries, etc. Wherever you are registered to vote. If you are not registered, contact the DMV for information on registering before Nov.

  • Legalize it fucktards

  • Don't smoke marijuana or you'll be like Michael phelps and win countless of gold medals for the USA or worst u can become president of the united states Theodore Rosevelt and our past 3 presidents and current president admit to smoking marijuana Not to mention all the other presidents

  • Anyone else find it bizzare that cannabi is used medically but is still illegal? So that means its good for you but bad for you at the same time?!?! I certainly hope that people see sence and legalize the sooner it spreads in america the sooner the uk will follow suit!

  • WOW "yet another mind-altering substance"?? um yes its "mind altering" but a phrase like that is misleading. It's mind-altering in a beneficial way. When i smoke and am high i feel so calm, would never commit a crime, and actually feel inclined to help out. Weed is not addictive, and it doesn't kill brain cells and those are facts. Also, it doesnt effect your "five senses" at all. You sort of feel juvenile, thats all, like your a little kid again. Weed is so great and its not bad (alcohol)

  • Unfortunately, the U.S. government will take this to the Supreme court and knock it down. they have too much invested in the war on drugs.

  • Richard Lee, honestly an idol for some people, me for one, keep it up Lee plan to attend your institute soon, rock oncbro

  • i like how john lovell said he doesn't want ANOTHER sensitory altering chemical added to the list because people will make bad decisions with it....if he is against all off that then why is he not trying to fight for the prohibition of the ones we already have such as alcohol? oh ya that's right because its been proven that prohibition DOES NOT WORK! and that regardless to chemical people will make bad decisions...but its gotta be the chemicals fault right?

  • We're all eagerly watching you, California!

  • No one realizes. This could change the world forever, for the better. Vote people.

  • what the fuck I just turned 18 and now I gotta wait 3 more years if it legalizes? No thanks. Voting to keep it illegal so I can get my medical marijuana card and smoke.

  • @yanezftw

Way to use your vote responsibly

people like you make me wish the voting age was 21

  • "cannibus" roflmao

  • mariuana in afghanistan is not legal butt in usa is legal .whatt a shitt politik

  • I hope the legalization of marijuana passes in our lifetime.

  • people of california please go out and vote for the medical marujiana ! you are the test and the spark for the USA and then canada/mexico then the carribean then the world! it all strats in cali!

    don't fail the world!

  • Legalize god given freedom and all plants on earth.

  • I might be reading between the lines here.... but did that gentleman who is opposed just call Americans a bunch of children that need the government to hold their hands? Like I said I might just be reading in between the lines.

  • The only way Australia will legalize marijuana is if California then all of America legalizes. then, America bein the master of puppets of Australia, We will follow America and legalize it. So please!!! vote for a better world, bring us all together with something we all enjoy!

  • @Jackmyster99 It's the US Policies that force a lot of the rest of the world to keep certain drugs illegal, while promoting others for use. So yes, once the US policies are changed, the rest of the world will finally be able to relax as well, without facing financial and trade sanctions.

  • Richard Lee should create like a 10 minute infomercial explaining exactly what the legalization initiative will accomplish and what a legal cannabis industry would look like in California. We can see a comparison in their legal medical cannabis scene, and we can see that the sky hasn't fallen. Whatever percentage of people vote against this will show you what percentage of CA voters are ignorant and supportive of the black market. A NO vote for legalization is a YES for black markets and cartels

  • i am so excited ! what a glorious place to be free !!!!!

  • Also one of the pro arguments which I have never seen mentioned is the increase in tourism to generate money for the state of California. I would guess that Amstardam(In Holland) generates millions every year due to tourists coming over due to it being a citadel for weed smokers.. I am in favour of it being legalised in California and even though I live in Ireland I think it will still have an impact on me because (If it is legalised) states will follow and then eventually countries.

  • BASIC HUMAN RIGHT

    RESPECT 2 RICHARD

  • I really hope this passes.. States will follow, prisons and jail will have so much more room for Real criminals......I mean common.. My ol lady got 10 mo for trafficking a few oz of marijuana, and some one else I know got 3 mo for burglary . That is just Fucked up...

  • Oh how sweet it is. Legalize It, and I just might move there.

  • This msg is for the idiot at 2:03 seconds we want to add another mind altering substance because this one is 1000 times safer then the crap thats already legal. Now is it starting to make since ? any of that getting throw that big head of yours sir ? prob not, cant fix stupid.

  • @MWCstream He acts like legalization would be Adding a Drug to Society? Hello, people already smoke pot!!!! Statistics show drug use goes down when it is legal!!! That guy is obviously bought and paid for.

  • I really hope this ballot get's pushed through because to many people are going to jail over something so natural.

  • You guys should cross your fingers. I hope marijuana becomes legal!!!

  • Vote Legalization to save Mexico

Vote Legalization to save American Economy

Vote Legalization to stop prison-industrial-complex incomes for struggling counties.

Vote Legalization because modern science is constantly proving this medicine to be better and better.

Vote Legalization because of the constitution! Vote Legalization for America!

  • People of CA! Get out and vote in Nov.! You will be the test state for legalization for the rest of the country. If you legalize it, your economy increases, and crime drops, the rest of the country will follow, then the world. You have to do this people! VOTE!

  • @MonkeyBallZ214 wrong . more money will be spent on the wrong thing and no matter that comes out of it , smart people will never go for it .

vote smart - dont vote for marijuana .

i dont know why anyone would even consider listening to a drug addict like that idiot in the wheel chair .

  • @PCcancer Smart people won't go for it? Intelligent people usually lean more towards the freedom of choice. Prohibition costs more, economically and morally. How is that smart? Amsterdam has been legal so long, the people there look at it as a college phase. Anyone older still smoking is considered immature because with it's availability, they were able to outgrow the use socially.

You should do some more research. Calling him an idiot doesn't help your case either.

  • @MonkeyBallZ214 Dude...You hit a home run with this social theory, this is completely true. Your comment is exactly what I always try to explain to people.

  • @PCcancer Btw, we don't use the word "smart" as a description anymore. "Smart" sounds too childish, we say intelligent now.

At the last MENSA meet-up that I was privileged enough to attend, we discussed the legalization and it's consequences. We all had reached the same conclusion: Prohibition doesn't work. It causes more harm to people, the economy, and causes more people to lust for what is prohibited due to our rebellious nature as humans.

I'm afraid, you are wrong on this one.

  • @PCcancer Your an idiot. Calling a person with a spinal injury a drug addict. WTF is wrong with you?

It's about fuckin time cannabis was legalized. It's not like prohibition is ever gonna keep people from using it. People have been smoking weed literally for thousands of years. They aren't gonna stop any time soon. Besides, if alcahol and tobacco are legal, and they kill thousands of people each year, why should marijuana be illegal?

  • @Al3xX420 yes fool , drug addicts can have spinal injuries but they are still drug addicts.

  • @MonkeyBallZ214 so how did the votes go did it pass or no i dont fill like its passed i wish it dus

  • @theone91109 No, not enough people that wanted it legalized voted. I suppose that it looked as though so many people supported it that people decided they didn't need to go vote, or they thought the gov. wouldn't allow it anyway. They'll try again next go round.

  • When this bill passes that's one step closer to for other states to follow full legalize..I say legalize it worldwide.. Peace everyone...

  • When it's legal here, the world will follow.

  • @420deew420 washington same thing for washington we can make so much money off this, and it would get rid of the mexican mafia.

  • Thanks for uploading this.
