  • you are great!! don't listen to those red necks

  • cool :)

  • I love this! You are awesome!

  • Thanks, Bill. I could learn a thing or two from you-you're truly funny!!

  • Oh here are your polls numbers from the USA TODAY/GALLUP POLL health care reform bill 56% Favor 33% oppose HEALTH CARE OVERHAUL 61% Favor 35% oppose And Obama is + 64% Oh and companies don't need any other rewards for success other then the reward of success. No hand out for complanies that do well. American do work extreamly hard there is on 1% of people that don't want to be part of the US system of hard work and you will have success.

  • Yeah...she's genuine. A genuinely bad actress.

  • classy response, but very ineffective if you'd like to have a civilized debate.

  • Republican Bot!

  • do you speak english? WFT!

  • No, I do not speak English... =p

  • you really plumbed the depths of your intellectual prowess for that one, crawma.

  • My job is being a drummer for a touring band.

  • So you live with your Mom!

  • Peter, did I say that?? If you want to know my other jobs, I'm also a model, and a substitute teacher. I also take online college classes so I can earn a bachelors degree. I can't take classes on campus because of touring around the country. Like I said, I will work my butt off as much as I need to in order to fend for myself, have my own insurance, etc.

  • Fred, Did I ask? No! and sorry to inform you but no one cares what you do. I am not one of your parents or someone that you have to live up to. I wouldn't care if you where a dishwasher, what you do has nothing to do with what kind of person you are. People like the person not the job and your just in one of those myspace bands not a real band!

  • Someone asked what my job was. I forget who. I haven't been at this debate in like a week or so. And I was simply stating that I will work as much as I need to in order to get my own insurance. Insurance is something that should be earned. Once again, Peter, you've decided to try to make up something about me that isn't true. I'm AM in a real band that tours, NOT a myspace band. I also have a separate project that isn't doing shows yet, which is MomentsAfter. I tour with Calling Out Closer.

  • Fred everyone in a myspace band thinks there in a real band and they all tour. All anyone has to do is go to your myspace page. People in the US do work hard for the insurance and they should get it and if the insurances comp. will not give it to them then the Gov should.

  • Fred don't get me wrong, you seem like a nice person. I have freinds from all walks of life and they all don't believe in the same things I do. I hope for the best for you and that you don't get realy sick or hurt on the road with out insurance. If I was a friend of your I would help out with some kind of heath insurance plan.

  • MomentsAfter should get back to work!!! Or is his job posting comments.

  • Hey when are you coming out with a new video?

  • Very Funny LOL........

  • Thanks!!

  • No one is putting words in your mouth besides the Republicans. I was just saying that the gay marriage example was not and example of less government in action. No one has made the government smaller in the last 20 years. How can you say that you don't like Bush or Obama. You where like 13 when Bush was in office and Obama has only been in office for a little more the 6 months.

  • How is the gay marriage amendments an example of less government working, we have had more government under Bush then Bill Clinton. This has nothing to do with your first point or the point I was making.

The point I was making about 1% upper class was that smaller government has proven to only work for the best off. People with money to buy state representatives.

  • Why do you keep telling me I'm saying things that I haven't said? I didn't say the amendments are an example of less government. I said they're an example of federal government letting the state governments decide instead of making decisions for them. Secondly, I agree. Bush was way too much of a big-government guy. I never said I thought he was a great president. Slightly better than Obama, but great? No.

  • MomentsAfter, I'd like to know your plan for fixing health care. What are your ideas? Maybe this can be a more constructive argument if we start there...

  • Good idea. My idea for health care reform comes first from health and then care. I believe more of a focus needs to be put on health. People need to have health classes more than twice during high school years, and those classes should focus more on nutrition. So many people really don't care what they're eating or what they're smoking until they're too old. If the government wants to run TV ads dealing with health care, why not run ads telling parents to feed kids the right way.

  • We live in a society where parents are working 2 jobs and families don't sit down and have meals together, so guess what? Kids go out to fast food places with friends. If something was done to inform people better about staying healthy, exercising, etc, then as people get older, most of these people wouldn't have as many health problems, and therefore, wouldn't require as much care.

  • As far as care goes, I'm a believer that rewarding is better than punishing. I believe people should be rewarded based on performance. So should companies. The government already pours money into the insurance companies. Why not reward those who are giving the best deals, and not dropping people? Why give more money to the ones that are ripping people off the most? That would be dumb.

  • So I think giving tax breaks and rewards to companies IF they do the right things would be the best thing to do. It would kinda be like No Child Left Behind for insurance companies, based on rates and coverage. Also, I think doctors need better salaries and more bonuses. Good doctors are leaving the field, and not-so-great ones are replacing them. Good doctors must be rewarded.

  • I think that the Video is right on point! I am a struggling single mom that has waited in those long lines at the welfare office for long hours just to see if, me and my child can get free health care, I remember those days clearly. I recently got a letter from the medi-cal office saying that, I need to do paid share to keep my medi-cal and the cost was an outrageous $1,150.00 to see a doctor. I don't think the senators pay for healthcare we should be free just like the government and so on!!!

  • Thanks gchatham4275, good points! I wish you the best with your child =)

  • This was informing with humor!!! The most powerful country in the world and we are not even close to having decent health for all US citizens. AMA has such a powerful choke hold on the legislatures. We need better government, not less government.

  • Without government or with less government the people have no power to change any thing for the better. Your right not smaller government just better government and bigger, better and smarter government would be nice too.

  • With less federal government, you give more power to state and local governments to make choices for the citizens that they know more on a first-hand basis than the federal government does.

  • That is just untrue and you have no example to prove this. Our government is a union and if you lessen or decrease it that makes the union all the more weaker not better. Less government mean that there are less citizens representing the people. The only thing that less government has proven to work for is the 1 % Upper class .

  • Sure it is. Take gay marriage for example. The federal government tried taking control of the issue, and nothing ever became resolved. Because of this, the citizens were informed, and there were many petitions signed and states took control and passed amendments and laws on the subject, mostly based on what the citizens wanted in those states and what they thought was right. I have no idea what you're talking about with the 1% upper class. That has nothing to do with what I was talking about

  • You're absolutely right, peter4redstar, it can be bigger and better-the two are not mutually exclusive.

  • That guy is kind of funny, what part of the south is he from?

  • If you're talking about me, Pennsylvania. But nice to see you're racist against southerners. By the way, have you seen the USA today report about which states are the best for starting businesses today? All states that vote republican. The worst? Mass, California.......getting the idea?

  • I love how someone gave me a thumbs down for simply stating 1. Where I'm from, and 2. For repeating results of a USA today survey. Guess you liberals don't like the truth.

  • Dude there is nothing wrong with being a liberal, maybe you should look up the word so you know what it means instead of taking other peoples word for it. The USA today is not the best paper or the most accurate for surveys and polls. Stop being a right wing puppet, they don't care about you.

  • Did I say there was something wrong with being liberal? And, I'd hate to tell you, but it was recently discovered that Rasmussen was the most accurate of all pollsters for the 2008 elections. Right now, they're giving Obama the lowest approval rating of all pollsters, at 48% approve, 51% disapprove. And I'm not being a puppet. I have my own mind. And since you don't think USA today/gallup is a good pollster, can you name a newspaper that does more accurate surveys/polls?

  • And I'll just take another second to once again state that with the gay marriage issue, state governments had more control because federal government backed off. Less federal government = more power to state governments. Since you think buying across state lines is a bad idea, why wouldn't you just allow the states to make their own laws regarding health insurance within their states? That's the point I was trying to make.

  • Hey you Moment after whoever you are you can shove it!!! You are the one who sounds racist maybe you should go back to school and learn to listen!!! Racist what you don't know what you are talking about do you!!!

  • Did anyone see anything I typed that seemed racist???? Just because I have a different point of view as you, does that make me racist? If so, maybe you should look up a dictionary definition of racist. Secondly, I do listen, which is why I'm trying not to take anyone's comments out of context. If anyone feels like I've taken their comments the wrong way, they should tell me, and I'd apologize. (and your third sentence I can't understand. It really makes no sense).

  • Funny.

  • Thanks, mickchat1997.

  • This is so funny... great work. The GOP is coming with there talking points from the printed from the internets.

  • Hey dude. Before you come to write comments on here, learn the English language.

  • Hey MomentAfter..pill. The reason that UPS is so cheap is because of the postal service, or else UPS and FedEx could not compete. So thank you for proving government drives coast down. Government health care will drive health care priceses down and that will help small businesses a lot and that means more profit. I work in the arts and I ship all over the world using FedEx, UPS, PS,and private comp. Thanks for using UPS and supporting the UPS Teamsters.

  • Your so right Peter.. Funny with the momentafter pill.

  • Oh please. That is complete bull. USPS rates are the ones going up all the time, not UPS. UPS rates for anything over 2 pounds are about 27% -34% less than USPS. USPS doesn't keep them in check. They keep USPS in check buddy. And who raises the cost of stamps all the time? The government.

  • USPS has been around a lot longer then UPS. The USPS rates have only gone up because there has been less and less business, they need to cover there coasts. So wich is it, does competition drive coast down or up for business. But your missing the point our shipping businesses don't make any where near the profits that Health care does. No more sick care for profit.

  • Profits are made how? By a ton of people buying something. Health Insurance is the last thing people will stop buying. So is food. So these kinds of things will continue making profits, even in a down economy, because they aren't the things people are cutting back on. Hotels and airlines will lose money, clothing stores may lose money, etc.......but health care companies and food stores won't lose profits. neither will Wal-mart or McDonalds.

  • And remember, doctors and medicine is what keeps people alive. If people started living healthier and not needing so much money in surgeries, health care costs would be much lower. But people living unhealthy lifestyles, along with people trying to create lawsuits on doctors.....these are the things that drive costs up the most. And I'm not saying everyone who needs surgery lives unhealthy lives, but a lot do.

  • Even with this theory, just saying it keeps prices in check, the democrats say that this new "affordable" health care will help to insure the 40-50 million who can't afford it now. If government health care is simply to keep the other companies from having higher premiums, (like a cap), then how is this going to help those people who can't afford health care afford it? Truth is, government health care won't be cheaper. Government stabilizing the market is exactly what supply and demand does.

  • And then my argument is, if this is the case, why not have a government run food store, or government run gasoline, or government run clothing store? It won't do any good. What we need is for people to be able to shop for health insurance from wherever they want to buy it and take it across state lines (and you might call this a GOP talking point, but it's a really good idea rather than creating government health care).

  • That shop for heath care in other states has to be the worst idea ever. That is one of the reasons McCain lost. If you get sick and go to the doctor the doctor has to spend more time with that out of state insurance comp. lost of paper work = more coast then with you. The insurance comp. coming between you and your Doctor.

  • I'm in Pennsylvania. If I go and buy a policy in Iowa, the doctor would have to be in contact with the Iowa insurance company. They would then fax in the info or whatever. There's just as much paper work with an in-state insurance company as there is with an out-of-state one. Think of colleges. You can go to an out-of-state college or a college in your state. The info/paper work is the same.

  • In fact, I believe the democrats want to put this into the bill. The reason McCain lost the election was because he was painted as being George Bush. Remember that Obama won primarily because of younger voters. Do you really think younger voters care much about health care?? Heck no.

  • The idea is to make private health care cheaper so that people can Keep it. It does not matter if gov health care is cheaper or not as not as long as private heath care prices come down. Like UPS being cheaper then USPS. Do you pay for health care?

  • I do have health care, and will always work hard to make sure I can always afford it. Believe me, if people can no longer afford health care, and everyone is losing it, it's the same thing with gas. Once people couldn't afford it and cut back on traveling, prices came down. Prices won't keep going up when people can't afford something, once again going back to supply and demand. They say 40-50 million are uninsured. 10 million are illegals. another 10 million or so don't want it.

  • the other 20-30 million are the very poor as well as those who lost jobs for the most part. Those people won't afford health care unless it's 10 dollars a month, which won't happen. If you don't have a job, or you even have a minimum wage job, a government program won't be so cheap that those people can buy insurance.

  • Also, if the objective is to get people to buy private insurance, that would make no sense, because then the government program would have no customers. Why pour 1 trillion dollars of taxpayer money into a program that won't get customers? Why not just say, hey private companies, if you lower your costs and put a cap on them, we'll give you 1 trillion dollars? That isn't what they want to do. They want the government to regulate the business, which is not a good thing.

  • Look dude it looks like you do not have that much experience with heath care, I have had good experiences and bad here in the US. I have also had very good experiences with health care in other countries never a bad one. So get heath insurance, take care and I hope for the best for you and every American.

  • Administration is 30% the coast of private health care and you want to add even more?.. with this weak GOP talking point plan. Most of what you are saying is BS, the fact is heath care in the US does not work and it needs to be fixed.

  • Try like number 37th in the world, not 19. It does not work compared to 36 other countries.

  • Whatever happened to . . government for the people, by the people shall not perish from this earth. We need some of what Lincoln had eloquently wrote back. Every first world country in the world has some form of health care administrated, and yes maybe funded by their respective governments, except for this country. Why? Perhaps we need the same type of health care our elected officials get.

  • Oh really so why is it that health care coast have doubled in the last 10 years when millions have been dropped or can pay. 40 to 50 million did not happen over night and that number is getting bigger, they do not count illegals in the numbers. The problem is that heath care coast have not gone down. If 40-50 million just stop using gas all to gether then gas would be $1.

  • Things to think about: Health Insurance goes up and wages stay stagnant or decrease. How will all those irresponsible lazy people who get up and contribute to society by going to work or school to find a career be able to pay for it as time goes on and inflation goes up. Not to mention after years of paying by wages earned into insurance just so when they do get sick are denied care and then dropped because now they are a money risk.

  • I'm bad at sarcasm. One of the right wing talking points is that if anyone wants a public option, single payer etc. are just lazy and selfish socialists. Granted, there is such a thing as lazy selfish people. The truth is they're few compared to the 300 going on 400 million people here in the States. Lazy and selfish people are on both sides of the political spectrum.

  • I get it . You're right people on both sides of the spectrum can be lazy or dishonest, what have you. This whole town hall business is nonsense not because it is an expression of opinion because it's goal is to silence the other side. That's not democracy.

  • If this happens, Health insurance companies would lose money, and have to drop prices. If people can't afford to buy something, they won't, and the company will lose money. It's all supply vs. demand.

  • And last thing. There is a house bill. That's the one people are talking about, and it's the one the senators are commenting on and agreeing with at these town halls. True, no bill is in the senate yet, but there are ideas and bills in the house, and what goes through the house gets to the senate eventually, so guess what? The senators who say there is only a house bill are just avoiding questions. Because they too will receive that bill if it gets through the house.

  • Dude Chill out!

  • I'm guessing that 1997 is the year you were born? And your English is just as bad as Peter's. And guess what? The featured video on your channel was deleted due to copyright infringement. Way to go buddy.

  • You tell Him !!!!!

  • Oh, and only 53% of people voted for him. Not 75. But nice try. and nice liberal plant you put in the background of this video........same dudes are probably the really stupid ones at town hall meetings. The real conservatives, we know what we're talking about.

  • It works the same way with gasoline. Prices were supposed to be at $5.00. Then people stopped traveling as much and the economy started suffering, so prices went down. Remember when gas prices were the huge concern of congress? It's the same thing with health care! If people buy less health care, prices won't go up. They'll do what gas prices did. It's all economics. Supply vs. Demand.

  • great vid!

  • Thanks, Foreeldoe! =)

  • Thanks!!

  • And then the liberals who support this plan say.....well prices will skyrocket if the government doesn't do anything!! No they wont! What's the point of healthcare? To have the insurance pay for something you can't afford. If more people started not being able to afford healthcare, they won't be able to buy it, so why would prices go up? Then even less people would buy it. It's like a business. Supply vs. demand.

  • And yes, UPS and FedEx compete with the government, and guess what? UPS prices to ship things are cheaper than the government, and this whole new priority mail stuff the government is promoting is a complete rip-off. And yet, people ship things by USPS because that's what is in the post office. It's the first thing they see. With government health care, it's supposed to be cheaper and quality. USPS isn't cheaper than UPS (quite the opposite) so who says government healthcare will be cheaper?

  • It's not about pulling the plug on grandma. Those are probably just liberal plants put there to ask stupid questions to make conservatives look dumb (as was with the Obama hitler poster.) Anyhow, the problem with Obama's health care is that it kills businesses. It's just another thing the government wants to take control of. They do the same thing with the postal service. What will they try to take over next. Gasoline? Food Stores? I mean think about this (next comment coming right up)

  • Your spitting out GOP talking points.. talk about plants. The problem with reform is it will kill businesses? WTF.. another lie from the GOP, if any thing it will help small businesses that employ most americans, by driving health care price down. Oh and email is the reason the postal service is not doing well. People are now buying cars that use less gas and farmers get help for the Government. So your point make no sense.

  • I'm not spitting out talking points. You are. Because you just said I said the postal service isn't doing well. Did I say that? NO. I said their prices are higher than UPS's prices. I have an ebay business and ship things all across the country. I would know. So knowing this, that USPS prices are higher, why would you think that government health care would be cheaper than other health care?
