Dear 1952Kid, Actually? "Officer Joe'Bolton hosted reruns of'The Little Rascals"films on "The Clubhouse Gang"on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC Monday Thru Saturday evenings from 1/17/1955 to 9/13/1957.
During the 1960's..Chubby Jackson,Sandy Becker,Sonny Fox,Herb Sheldon and "Capt.Jack"McCarthy screened "The Our Gang"/"Little Rascals"films on Ch.7,Ch.5,Ch.9 and Ch.11.
I remember seeing the MISCHIEF MAKERS on WPIX Ch. 11 in October 1979 It aired for aired two weeks and was reaplaced by a condensed version of LAUREL & HARDY.
Is it possible the series can be found on torrent or RapidShare or some similar sharing service? Or CD maybe? I've been looking this for ages, grow up with the stuff, must find the series... Any help? :-)
Thanks for posting this! I don't think I've seen this in about 40 years or so. You're missing an announcement from this film: "It's The Mischief Makers...with Bobby and Bunny!" (two kids who voiced the campy comments.
Me too! I remember this in the 1960's. NYC wonder days, a ton of memories from those days. We had tons of cartoons and kids shows. This was a take off on the Little Rascals, and the real Little Rascals was on tv at the time,so i watched them instead of this. I think Officer Joe Bolton had the Rascals on . WPIX-11 and WNEW-5 is all you needed to know in 1960.
Does anyone happen to have actual footage of the show? I've heard it's atrocious, but it would still be interesting to actually see this show in action...
As long as you don't mind silent films, it wasn't that bad, though the shorts were whittled down from their actual length and had unnecessary narration. The full-length shorts without narration are worth checking out, however.
I remember watching "Mischief Makers" on WPIX during the Seventies.

I watched this and "Comedy Capers" every day because they were the only silent movies that I had regular access to in '67 or '68.

I thought I remembered everything but this one eludes me completely. It looks Tom like Terrific type animation.
