@Newfoundgod Every era has its turn. If you ask me there hasn't been much going on musically since the 90s. Bands like Alice in Chains, Nirvanna are in a class of their own. They weren't contrived but progressive. But must add that Jerry Cantrells solo work although heavy enough to be metal, is like nothing else. I just find it hard to put certain bands in any "category" and some musicians are really unique. If you know what I mean...i miss the 90s...

I'm a huge fan of Layne's, his voice is still the best rock voice I've ever heard. But I'm also looking forward to this album a lot. New material for the new AIC is perfect, they are all good musicians and song writers and I'm very happy for them. I know the band will never forget Layne, they will always honour his memory, and the best way for the rest of us to do the same is to listen both to old and new material from this good group. Go AIC!!!

I'm a huge fan of Layne's, his voice is still the best rock voice I've ever heard. But I'm also looking forward to this album a lot. New material for the new AIC is perfect, they are all good musicians and song writers and I'm very happy for them. I know the band will never forget Layne, they will always honour his memory, and the best way for the rest of us to do the same is to listen both to old and new material from this good group. Go AIC!!!
