  • I couldn't find you on eBay. I'm interested in a sustainer. How do I contact you?

  • @russpang I'm not selling these at the moment, but hope to around March, 2012

  • Quistion: I am wanting to put led under neith my pickups in a flat black les Paul made by LTD. Would this circuit be able to power 8 leds? Would they be able to go through a rotary switch with multi colored leds or Tri LEDS? I've been hunting for this circuit for months. Also need to know the price.

Like the video. Sounds Nice. Looks Nice. Excellent!

  • @Rythymoxide2020

Have a look at some of the Guitar LED stuff I'm starting to offer for sale on Ebay ...search for "guitar pickup leds" (or else goto Ebay, click button marked 'advanced' next to the normal Ebay search box, then 'items by seller' (left of the screen) ...my ebay seller's user ID is axecentric

  • How much routing does it require?

  • you know, if the saddles of a bridge were magnetized, you wouldn't have to got through all of this trouble to make a separate piece for the guitar that does the same thing the guitar is already capable of.

  • Daddy, our breakfast, please !

  • cool!!!! but you wake up your kids with the noise hahaha!!!!!!!! greetings from Argentina

  • keep me posted for when you are about to put those sweets in for sale - i wanna buy one BADDLY plzz

  • I'm going abroad for a couple of months, so it'll be Frebruary at the earliest now.

Price? comparable to other sustainer systems (but their's don't have bling!)

  • @peskywinnets Id love to have a sustainer. Not really into the LED deal for my guitars but it looks awesome! Just not my style haha. Would you be able to sell just the sustainer? OR make a vid on how to make one, even if its not perfect. ive got a guitar with CRAPPY pickups and id like to turn one into a sustainer. Thanks allot =]

  • @MichaelLozano12

At the moment I'm firmly committed to other projects....but will be revisiting sustainers (with & without LEDs) in August :-)

  • @peskywinnets Thanks for the quick reply! And ok, ill check back then. If any of the projects your doing now are guitar related please post vids! lol

  • am interested in buying these.when do you think youre ready?and how much?

  • how do u make this dude, i really could use one

  • @risinglegend09 - there's a fair bit involved in this one & this is my own implementation which I'm not geared up for sharing - there are plenty of other folks who make DIY Sustainers....and some implemenations are relatively simple....as ever Google is your friend.

  • I'm interested.

  • Awesome work man!!! I would like to buy one !!! :-) Please PM me when you are ready to sell..... I subscribe just to say tuned too !!! Keep it up !!! The music world needs guys like you !

  • @VolTatzElectronics thanks...it might be a couple of months yet, (just finishing off a sustainer dedicated to Variax)... be patient! :-)

  • are you psw?....

  • @100roberthenry lol, hell no - I upload videos proving my diy sustainers work - he won't & just types & types & types& typzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • @peskywinnets ha ha ha..yeah i know what you mean..he should work for nasa..

never a straight answer...pages n pages of bs...i thought your name was coded..

PeSkyWinnets ha ha...sorry for the slander ha ha...

yep and your right yours work fine....i like the twinklers too...cheers rob.

  • Hey, i know from the beneath comments that youre not selling these yet, but do you know how much they will cost?

  • @MYCHEMICALHAMSTERS Not sure if you're are just wanting the driver coil with LEDS or a full package (driver coil & circuit).

  • @peskywinnets Sorry for not being so clear mate, yeah, for the full package..,

  • @MYCHEMICALHAMSTERS Well, like I say, I'm not geared up to sell them just yet (I'm presently focusing on another specific sustainer variant), but once I do, the price would be comparable to what it costs to but other (less funky) sustainers - which here in thw UK is about £150 - £200 (*if* I can get the time taken to make one down - else I'll be on the equivalent of a 'flipping burgers' hourly rate!)

  • @peskywinnets That sounds a very reasonable price :) I really wanna put one on my Les Paul. I'd be using it for all of my college work (National Diploma BTEC) and this would just makes it a whole lot more versatile :)

  • how much would one of these cost me to get? i love it

  • @BigFriendlyNinja I'm not selling these just yet - also they take a while to make so even if I do get around to making them for sale, they won't be cheap!

  • Ha hahahah your brothers are wondering : why did you put ''little light bulbs'' in your guitar?

  • so if i were to make my own driver, which from what i've seen on other sites is fairly easy to do, how would i hook it up to my V7 and V8? also would i have to buy a circuit board? and what kind?

  • Could you send me some plans or a schematic so i can make one

  • hey, awesome sustainer, I'm trying to make my own, and I like the idea of using LED's to "bling" it out. how do u embed the LED's in the bobin? are they wrapped in the coil? do they make contact with the magnets or wire, or do they have there own slots within the bobbin? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    rock it !

  • @legendari8031 LA4100

  • @legendari8031 I designed it myself in CAD - and cut it on a home made CNC machine. There's no contact with the clil or the magnets.

  • thanks for the response, I'm planning on using CAD myself, as I can get access to CNC machines. Just wondering if I'm right in assuming the LED's cathode legs are grounded, and they cunduct current through the EMI's given off by the coil of the driver, or have you wired them up differently somehow?

    much appreciated.....

  • @legendari8031 you can buy either common cathoe or common anode - it doesn't really matter (but obviously it matters which way you wire them though!). no the driving voltage comes from a circuit board - it's not from the coil...therefore each led is wries out separately.

  • i cant accese your link even though i have an ibanez account?

  • i love how your kids are just like, "holy hell. daddy.. what's that noise?"

  • Lol, yeah...they're pretty used to odd ball sounds spilling out of Daddy's headphones...but those harmonic squeals were a first on their young ears! Kinda like "Huh, wassat all about?" :-)

  • lol! nice dude.

  • Hey! you are just absolutley brilliant! i have always wondered what to do with this dead space, and i also felt angry over the need to replace the peck p.u. for a sustainer. -Btw can you play trough the neck pickup?,

I know the magnetic field from the driver is probably rendering this impossible, but it is an interesting tought!

  • Thanks for the kind words. You can obviously use your neck pickup to play a standard guitar type sound with - but not with the sustainer activated. The sustainer is only 'enabled' when you select the bridge pickup (there is an on/off switch for the sustainer still, so even when you select the bridge pickup, you have the option of deciding whether to switch the sustainer on or not). It's stll a work in progress. presently incorporating touch switches to save drilling the guitar - see my other vid

  • Wow! I need one in Curitiba to my Strato! fantastic! I think you should commercialize it! I'm starting a business on such topic, I work with new product development.

    Bye!

  • Well who knows...if enough people ask, I might jyust make it available (I'm just finalizing the sswitching using 'touch switches' ...on a guitar this would be the screw heads on the scratchplate etc....check out my other video showing this in action

  • That looks sweet!

Those last few notes sounds just like some Gilmour solo... just can't figure out which. Shine on you Crazy Diamond perchance? :D

    Wicked LEDs man!

  • Yeah...even though I was murdering it - you nailed the solo!
