Syd is a genius, plain and simple. It hurts me so bad to know that I will never get to know him, or even see him play. Ouch.

Yeah okay Syd wanted to be Schizophrenic yeah sure. YOU"RE A DUMB ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You cannot and understand how horrifying Schizophrenia is. Yes he did drive himself to insanity with his "manic drug usage" but not on purpose.

I just wanted to let you all know......
This album was NOT about Syd. Not even the song. They didn't write about him until he showed up in '75, over-weight and shaven-headed (Roger going to tears after seeing what had become of his best friend) dedicating the entire Wish You Were Here album to him. Also just realize Roger was pretty in control of the Floyd at this point, as well as everything on Brain Damage and Eclipse. Awesome pictures and RIP Syd.

Syd Barrett is a very influential musician when it comes to the psychedelic genre. He is a trip out, but he's a legend. I like his music and he is always referred to in later Floyd music.
