It is available for some Satellite P300 notebooks and you can download it on EMEA Toshiba support page. Visit also Toshiba support forum. There you can find some threads with exact instructions how to configure and use this tool.

i always get registration failed when trying to set up my face recognition. i move left, right, up, down, but it says registration failed. can someone help me?

I've had this laptop for a year and honestly this software is crap

it's a waste of time and takes ages to load...

I just stick to my password method

It won't work. The recognition method uses more than one image for recognition and a 2D photo won't be recognized.

nah it wont it actually just checks whats on you face birthmark ect.

shouldn't matter. It's using the area from eye brows to mouth only, so changing hairstyles is ok.

How fast is it? I mean, I liked the look of the lenovo ones, because they seemed to recognize you and log in really quickly, but I can't tell from any of these videos how fast it picks you up?

Just wondering because..if I could type my password a few times in the time it takes to recognize my face, it wouldn't be worth it.

But if it was fast, that'd be freakin awesome!

Well I logged on today and just had to take a quick glance at it and it recognised me instantly, even I was surprised how quick it was and it was, much quicker than typing in the password three times or even two times and close to one time as well.

if you look, it stores your recent logon pictures, that means the software cannot tell you are getting older or changing that much.

I have the A305-S6843 and mine works like crap. i must have got a factory defect laptop becaus eim not happy with mine. its great when it works but the case is coming apart and its only a week old.

That is a great feature but the notebook also has a lot of other outstanding features. The thing that irratates me the most is that I just bought a Toshiba Satellite P200 804 and then they release this, I wish I waited.
