And I should say "this VIDEO is about" as the video is not an official video for the song as some commentators seem to think. The song has a different meaning from the video, it's a duality in itself - much like that of living a gay stigma .. huh didn't think of that before!

Even after a year I'm convinced this is about the stigma the gay world receives (and portrays) about superficiality (need to be "beautiful" and desire for things) and the spread of STDs (with the black fog representing AIDS/HIV, pearls representing Herpes etc). Whether that's a heart or a liver being played with I'm not sure but both could be interpreted (heart: playing with someones heart. liver: casualty of drink and drug). Overall I think this is a video that says "Don't be so careless."

I know that many people will get many different things out of this video. But what I think and see is the Darkness of being Gay. For those who are gay I am sure you will understand the Bleakness of what comes with it. Its a whole different world for us. Where the act is painted black. And there is so much emphasis on being beautiful and young and rich......Which ultimately ends in us devouring ourselves. This Video (i feel) portrays the life most gay people live.

Its art so it's open for interpretation. A friend of mine knows the guy who made the video. He said "The video is a reflection of the gay scene and of how it puts so much emphasis on stuff like youth and external appearance or money and fame. It's about how people don't think of consequences and just live for some instant gratification. The point of it all is that we'll all just end up literally devouring ourselves just like the guy in the end of the video does." I can see that.
