  • Your vision and mission is noble and lofty ! As an investment for your children and grand-children, this is a good choice as Washingtons water is the purest in the nation and the climate quite reasonable.

Have you all thought about starting a cottage industry to supply Hallal meats and chicken to Portland, OR and Seattle by rearing the animals in an organic way ?

Best of Luck to you ! May Allah help you all !

  • Disadvantages:

1-Might not be able to gather the 60 Muslims needed to split the 300 acres and subdivide.

2-Longer commute to current job for most people. They need to use it for future options.

3-Need to engage a real-estate lawyer to draw proper legal papers for a real-estate land trust that shall hold the land and the money in escrow until the county approves the sub-division.

  • 6-Currently, our 2nd or 3rd generation children are buying expensive properties and living with folks who are not encouraging of Iman (Faith) or Amaal (actions). The present 10 acres with 45 houses around the Olympia mosque is full and no place for converts or other new folks to move in. Only option is to live far away anyways.

  • SHAIKH ISA SAYS-

We are going to make this 2800 sq.ft. house

with 6 bed-rooms for my family in $100,000

If land is $5000 an acre, then, 5 acres is only $25,000.

    SO,in $125,000 I have a house and 5 acres.

You can't beat that for the State of Washington.

Plus, I shall be living with all my brothers and sisters, praying and playing together, watching our children & grand-children grow !

  • MS. BECKIE STEPHENS ANSWERS-

Is there sewage or septic tank on the property ? no and I dont think it will be able to hooK up to the sewer now, later maybe. Youd have to install systems but the ground is rocky river bed and glacier till so low cost system due to great drainage.

  • QUESTION from a member- How far is it from the State Capitol where my brother works? Or from MADIGAN HOSPITAL where my sister works ?

Answer- State Capital, you could go to exit 88 and up so that would be about 23 minutes and madigan about 35 or you could go up highway 99 towards Tumwater and take exit 99 out to I-5- there are short cuts to beat any traffic.

This is prime real estate. This sits just off the highway.

  • If you go to geodata-dot-org and put in parcel numbers you can see the topography and even the 2ft contours of the land. Its all rolling to flat. Its behind a big cattle ranch and it will be somewhat close to the Tenino sewer facility which is to its east before Mima Acres Rd. This property is across from Alpacas of America. I believe there is some butterfly habitat land on it as well, only the county can tell you

  • This Tree farm consists of about 223 acres forested with native conifers and hardwoods with the predominant specie being Douglas Fir 28 years old at stocking levels of 200, reflecting thinning, to 350 trees per acre centered on near 160 acres. While the property enjoys a favorable development zoning, the width of the easement access likely limits re-presentation of the property for rural residential purposes as the four parcels perhaps enhanced by a BLA. Locked gate.

    Colvin Family Ranch

    Fred A. Colvin

    16816 Old Hwy. 99 SE

    Tenino, WA 98589.

Prairie grass isnt the only feature that sets the Colvin ranch apart. Coho salmon spawn in the mile of Scatter Creek that cuts through the land. Fred recalls, Dad tells a story that when he was a kid, they could go down to the creek with pitchforks and throw the salmon up on the banks of the creek.

  • Fred Colvins family began running cattle on this prairie land in 1854 when Ignatius Colvin arrived to find grass as high as a horses belly. Four generations later, the Colvins are changing how they work with the land, restoring salmon habitat and carving out a unique niche that capitalizes on their greatest asset: the lush prairie grass that covers most of their 640 acres.

  • ZONING CODE is -RRR1/5 which means:The purpose of this chapter is to encourage residential development that maintains the county's rural character; provides opportunities for compatible agricultural, forestry and other rural land uses; is sensitive to the site's physical characteristics;provides greater opportunities for protectingsensitive environmental areas and creating open space corridors; enables efficient road;and does not create demands for urban level services.
