  • とても神々しい旋律とチャーミングな声。

  • Andreas Dorau sampled part of this for "Allein im Park", a great little tune from the nineties with some haunting story to it. Thanks so much for putting this up :)

  • WONDERFUL, MARVELLOUS FRANCOISE! I discovered this song, and believe-me I started to love-it, as ever, FHardy puts the sun through the windows. A fan from Argentina salutes-you all, friends!!!

  • UltraSexy performance!

  • I am 17 and absolutely love Francoise Hardy!....if only today's artists had not only her talent but also her great style

  • If you like this, listen to her singing,"Only Friends", touchingly beautiful.

  • I didnt know she did this, got Nirvana's version on 45 & another 45 with Francoise singing "All over the World" & "Another Place" Love them both

  • what a graceful singer. what volupte in her voice, pure enjoyment

  • The original by Nirvana (U.K) is one one of my all time favourite records, and I didn't think anyone could do a better version. This isn't better but fantastically different. Love it!! Thanks for the upload

  • One of the most beautiful and tallented women of all time!

  • Language isn't a barrier to the color of voice. Excellent!

  • RIP Malcolm Mclarren without you I wouldnt have heard this wonderful music or know who she was

  • RIP Malcolm Mclarren if it wasnt for you I would have never heard of this beautiful music

  • This things all things devours. Such a crime that beauty like this fades and then eventually falls to the ground like aleaf from a tree. Such a tradgedy is time

  • chill out

  • In English In French In any Language...Françoise keeps the same rythm : Softness of voice, Slow Fluidity of Words, Tenderness of instrumental arrangement.....She belongs to all cultures and she passes Happy days and Wonderful nights in all the people's hearts...It's sure : In her Songs, all the Differences disappear and all the people speak one Language : Françoise's Language : Human Love and Common Will...............May God bless Françoise and may God bless me !!!!

  • One of my favourite all time singers - a very sexy lady.

  • Hardy + Harpsichord = Heaven! And in English... yummm....

  • I've been in love with her form and face and her French femininity since the sixties. Combine these with her beautiful voice and the intense romantic themes of her songs and you have extasy.

  • there's also an italian version of this nirvana's song also sunged by francoise

  • I love that version.

  • that's toooo cool!

    :)

  • dear Amanzi1

i'm simply happy when i find people who like songs as lovely as this. when i listen it i can remember me and my family travelling through Italy with our fiat 1100, with its scratching radio tuned on this wonderful song.

anyway she sings it, this music is simply beautiful.

    sorry for my english...ciao!

  • Ooh, I remember the Fiat 1100! Memories are great, aren't they?

  • gorgeous.

  • I've been looking for this

  • i dont see the masturbation connection at all tobias rex...please explain .....i know the original I always i thought it was about marianne faithful in a convent school!!!

  • So brilliant. She took a song about masturbation, and turned it into an impression of the emotional torment of lovers being apart.

Considering this and her version of Cohen's "Suzanne", she has a genius to her.

  • Hmm.... A guy's hanging out in his bathroom at 3 AM staring at an old photo of his ex-girlfriend in lingerie, feeling mournful, and doing what?

  • Although this and the other two versions by Francoise are nice, I don't think they have the same poignancy of the original. That version is just so haunting. She is, however, much better looking than anyone in Nirvana.

  • One of the most stunningly beautiful women ever. Full of class, elegance and real talent.

  • huge fan of Ms Hardy since the 60s, it is the first time i hear this: it is a treat so Thx

    xxxx

  • "La bilancia dell'Amore"...canzone stupenda, indimenticabile...sentita e risentita in francese, italiano, inglese...indimenticabile!

  • wow, this is the most beautiful song that i have ever heard by her, merci! :)

  • Good:) The pic is also stunningly beautiful!

  • i concur! :))

  • Definitley a beautiful song. I wonder how many songs Francoise sang in English. I always thought she sang a few, I was wrong.

  • There are several albums entirely in English. I have them. There are some very rare songs too, which are hard to find as the English version was release only on 45rpm and never on a CD. Message Personnel was one of those

  • You're correct...the most beautiful it is.

  • and don't forget she that was the Goddess of her generation in the 50s/beginning of the 60s. She was the High Priestess of the beatniks in Europe. Even Bob Dylan talked about her

  • she is beautiful, timeless in this picture, she can belong to any decade, right now is as if she is in 2008. I admire her temendouly for her singing and personalty that shows so much in the way she portrays herself.

  • What a fantastic song.First time I`ve heard this and it certainly won`t be the last time I listen to it.I agree she still looks stunning.

  • it(s my favorite of all time thanks

  • I respect her for not dying her hair. She has always been her OWN woman who does not follow the crowd.

  • So charming, her French accent when sung in English. Great song for her voice, too in any language. What a classy lady.

  • One of my favourite songs sung so beautifully by Francoise. She makes my toes curl up.

  • I love this version too. Funny, I like the french version the least. I agree the Italian is the best.

  • Thank you SOOOOO much!!!

    Jeny.

  • You are very welcome. I've been trying to find her rare stuff. I don't want to post anything that is easily available on CD or DVD. This was another of those songs I loved when I was little.

  • I was SO in love with her when I was 16!!!!

  • The sound is really clear and clean, nice pics, great work!

  • Thank you! I just noticed that the LP has a spelling mistake. The song is labelled as "Timy Goddess" :)
