I honestly wanted to hate this film when I read the reviews, that and I'm a huge fan of the original series, but two years after it's release I finally gave in to curiosity and can honestly say I seriously hated myself for not seeing it in theaters. It's a really good film, people who say it's "saved by the CGI" are wrong, th whole film is very good and while it's not an identical copy of the original series, I'm glad it isn't, it makes it better.

This movie probably WOULD appeal to younger audiences due to its high tech special effects, but the younger generation cant really appreciate the original cartoon like WE did back in the day. In this flick, theres plenty of special effects and action, but it doesnt fully capture the spirit of the original animated version when it was in television in the 60s and 70s..

@satishnrdh it flopped because it was most likely seen by people who grew up watching the original cartoon back in the 60s and 70s when it was most popular. The high tech special effects it what saves this movie.

Oh I am sooo mad at most of the reviews I've read! This movie was the most underrated film this Spring. I was so pissed. It's vibrant, funny, creative, and it retains the flavor and values of the cartoon. I dunno. I think most of the critics really had their thumbs up their butts on this one. It was awesome!

Bingo! A lot of people refuse to see it. It's not for everybody (wee bit too colorful at times), but it's definitely better than what "some" people are claiming. I have to laugh at those that tear into it, but have not seen it yet.

I love the part just after this where Pop's tells Speed that there's a lot of race left (reffering to the flashback of Rex's race), and Speed says NO WAY...IT'S OVER...my Brother is the best...everyone else is just fighting for second.
