  • So I jumped down the flight of stairs like you said.. How do you Correct a broken leg? :(

Nah im just playing, thanks for these videos, i hope this is the solution to the pain I have been having in my side!

  • Thank you for this wonderful video. My massage therapist has pulled my stomach down and adjusted the ileosecal valve on several occasions but I needed some way of helping myself between visits. Using the drmonstrated technique (standing against a wall) gave me immediate relief from GERD symptoms. I will look for lobelia tincture at my local health food store and search for methods to strengthen diaphragm (yoga breathing may help). Thanks again & many blessings.

  • I have this and i don't know what to do, the problem i have is that I can't even put my fingers or hands right there because it hurts :(

  • im 21 years old too is this common at this age?

  • @Vertigo190 I'm 23 and it seems like I also have this, if I do press right under my rib cage it feels full and that area has been hurting. The doctor is only giving me acid reflux medication which does not seem to be helping because I have realised even food which I think shouldn't give me reflux gives me heart burn, I feel kind of relieved that I know THIS could be the reason why I've been sick for so long (I have been sick for nearly a year now with this and not getting any better).

  • I need to find someone in Arizona who would do this kind of treatment, would anyone point me in the right direction.

  • i am 21 years old, and to be honest i am desperate with this disease... its making me nuts, its the worse thing in the world.. its been over 3 years since i was diagnosed with a small hiatal hernia and gastritis.. my symptoms are acid reflux, stomach bloating, uncomfortable feeling when swallowing, and i feel preety uncomfortable when am standing up or whatever... dont know wt to do, i feel its getting worse, also i workout a lot with weights so dont know, try to eat protein foods the most i can

  • @Dimitrios57x

"to be honest i am desperate with this disease"

    ------

Is lifting weights adding to your problem? it may well have caused it, and it might make it worse if you strain (Google: Haital Hernia lifting weights). Also, are you avoiding the foods that cause refulx? Are you eating smaller meals at night (soup etc)? Try altering what you do. Also, raise the head of your bed 6 inches or so to reduce symptoms. Do you drink or smoke? Eat tomatoes, hot food, spices etc. All bad for you.

  • @Stoory thx for the info, but dont really know if working out affects me that much, actually when i workout i dont feel any pain, only if i eat 1 hour or less before training. i went to the doctor recently and he told me to take 5mg of baclofen 3 times a day.. and a 20mg nexium before breakfast... he told me i can workout so dont know.. i just feel that the less i eat the better i feel he told me to eat 3 times a day... am just hoping this works out..

  • @Dimitrios57x Hi again. Regarding workouts. I personally find its better not to strain but to take things a bit easier, rest in-between and drink plain room temperature bottled water (not chiiled. I also found it helpful to search Google for "acid reducing diet tips". Also, to reduce stress and improve health, check out this Youtube video ... "Howard Stern talks about Transcendental Meditation on Letterman Show". (Its not a religion, just a relaxation technique).

  • @Dimitrios57x I'm really sorry , I really hope you get better! :( I'm only 23 too and have been suffering from this for about a year and not getting any better, I have been given acid reflux medication and someone showed me a book 'Alkaline or Die', and the Hiatal Hernia was mentioned, I do believe I have this and probably have had this for even longer, I am angry that the doctors refused to even check further to find out what is really wrong with me after I have cut out eating so many foods!

  • @0famz yeah man thanks for your wishes , i hope u get better too, its damm awful right? and people around us sometimes dont even understand how painful this can be, and the thing that's having me so down is that my doctor told me the only way to fix hiatal hernia is through operation, he said for now i just have to deal with it and live like that. =( so sad to imagine a life without eating freely and worrying about every single bite u get into ur mouth..

  • im a 21 year old male, and i get heartburn alot and a pain over my left nipple area and just below, my mum has an Hiatal Hernia the doctor tod me its not heart problems, is it possible i could have an Hiatal Hernia? the pain around my heart is freaking me out, please reply, thanks, Andy

  • @2ydna2 i think you might be dying

  • @devilrobbie25 well im not dead yett lol, and my symtoms have gone wooop

  • @2ydna2 im delighted for ya..dont even know why i said something like that

  • Very interesting. I have been using the gentle massage down and it has been helpful. Regarding tight muscles which may be a cause of the problem. I have found release with the Alexander technique. I went to an instructor in San Diego that taught me how to release muscle tension. The tension was causing several health issues. I was not aware that I was holding a large amount of tension in my body. To release do NOT tighten first. Always be gentle with our bodies. Thanks so much for the video!

  • has anyone had success with this?

  • This exercise is great but I think it can only be permanently effective if work is also done on strengthening the diaphragm. I think deep breathing exercises, blowing a balloon, panting and especially swimming (holding the breath for at least 10 seconds) would be extremely beneficial to strengthen the diaphragm. Thank you for this vid, I will try these suggestions.

  • I have POTS (undx, but I have taken the pulses resting and then position change) and wonder about the jumping down, or dropping your heels down, after being on tip toes type thing. How detrimental that can be for POTS since blood tends to pool in legs and lower abdomen just upon changing position? Oddly I find exhaling everything does help my POTS spells when they occur. Dont want to help one thing to only worsen another.

  • @SnapCracklePopKC

The dropping to the heels move isn't necesssary, so if there is any risk associated with that I wouldn't do it. Simply massage downward from the solar plexus.

  • I was diagnosed with the hernia , but only got reflux medicine for it. I still have the pulsating deep inside my back under the esophagus after I eat. Is that also a symptom of the hernia pushing up? I had the abdominal anuyrisms rules out too, but this pulsating, pecking sensation in my back and stomach after I eat is driving me nuts! Thanks. (Dapro) Canada

  • @Dapruex I've not heard of this particular symptom with someone with a hiatal hernia, but it's possible. The main thing that tells you that you're fixing the problem is if you can take a deep abdominal breath.

  • Hmmm I been having pains rt on those areas and I feel better when I lay on my stomach right after I eat. My husband ask me how can I lay down rt after I eat and I tell him it helps with the pain to have something pressing in my stomach. My stomach sometimes feels the same way I felt when I was pregnant of my children and they would move upwards and I would press them back down. I know I'm not pregnant now because I had a partial hysterectomy, so is has to be hiatal hernia. Thanks.

  • @isabelle2436 A lot of women have a hiatal hernia in the later months of pregnancy, so if you have the same feeling now, it could be a sign of a hiatal hernia.

  • thank you :)

  • thanks so much dude! i have a feeling these tips will help me!

  • thnxxxx a ton docc .. ! this ones frm Indiaa \m/ \m/

  • You may have helped me diagnose a ten year long chronic fatigue problem, not to mention all of the other symptoms!

  • what is lobilia? and herb?

  • @Yasharahlakitchen

Yes, lobelia is an herb. It helps to relax the stomach.

  • Wow I think I have this. Been frustrated with tight breathing for a long time now. Went to a few doctors who diagnose me with asthma. But thing is the medicine does nothing for me and they just give me the pipe which is suppose to get me the medicine better. Didn't help, same time I was getting medicine for GERD. I am going to try this and see if my chiropractor knows anything about this.

  • Muchas gracias por trasmitir sus tecnicas por este medio, sufro hernia y me sirve mucho. seriaposible que subiera un video en español.

    Saludos

  • hi, where would i find this lobelia product?

  • @mauribest1

Most health food stores should carry a lobelia tincture. If you can't find it, my herb shop ABC Herbs carries it. Our number is 435-627-1682.

  • This is the best information I have ever heard on this problem. I just met a woman who had hers taken out. I have had asthma now for 21years and my digestion has gotten worse over these years. I had no idea how much this hernia could affect me in so many ways. I am now 52 and feel more pressure around my heart area. I will immediately start practicing these techniques. Thank you so much.

  • hi, should i still be taking prilosec/

i been diagnosed with hiatial hernia.

also, how many times a day i should be doing this?

    thank you

  • Question: I am a basketball player and I feel like i cant catch my breathe as fast as i use to and I also feel like i run out of energy a lot quicker. Would a Hiatal Hernia have anything to do with this? Also, would these exercises help me with those problems even if it wasn't hernia related?

  • @DWordDtour

Without seeing you in person this would be impossible to determine.

  • Thankyou so much for this insight, you wouldnt believe the nightmare i have lived for the last 5-6 years with no light on this discomfort i've lived with, it all makes sense now, I am 26, been a tradesman for 10 years, 5 being a roofer, had athsma since i was 4, 6ft1 weighing 84kgs. • First I'm sorry because my english, I'm still learning. I want to know if it's normal to hear rumbling my stomach when I'm deep breathing. It sounds as if there where a lot of gas inside but the gas never leaves. Also, I have acid reflux that always makes me cough with mucus. The doctor made me a gastroscopy 3 years ago and he said that I had a minimum sliding hiatal hernia. But now I can't to stop coughing and he wants to repeat the gastroscopy. I would be greatful if you can help me. THANKSSS

  • You should take some lobelia and a quater of water on empty stomach. It is very important to avoid poor seated posture (such as slouching).

  • Hello. I have a hiatal hernia that measures 4 mm, gastritis and esofagitis. my problem is that i study canto classic and this hernia block me sometimes to be at my best performance , the acid atacks my vocal chords, and i feel very uncomfortable. I am a tenor and i must sustain very much with my diafragma. When I have those problems my high register decrease. Do you think that using your technique could help me? Should I interrupt my lessons while practice your technique? Tudor

  • Thank you for this video! I have all the symptoms of hiatal hernia (constant GERD, occasional asthma, chest pain, constricted feeling in solar plexus, worsening with lifting heavy items). I take many herbal acid reflux remedies but it keeps coming back. I have done the water/bouncing self-treatment for a few days with some relief. I am going to do the stomach manipulation and massage. I actually did a little of it a while ago and was able to eat dinner without feeling pain.

  • YOU DA MAN!!!

    THANK YOU!!

  • This is incredible. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia today (age 37, female, thin) and was experiencing pain from the endoscope in that area tonight. I did all of your massage techniques...and I'm amazed! The pain is gone. I couldn't take a deep breath before. After the massage, I can breathe! Will try the water technique. Outstanding...thank you so much for your video!

  • Hello what was the name of the stuff you should drink ? thanx :)

  • Thank you so much! I was having bad stomach aches, burping, heartburn, hiccups, headaches, trouble breathing etc. and other symptoms and you had me watch your video. I did your self-help techniques only three times in one day and poof! All my symptoms are gone!! I am so grateful!! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome

  • Hi Steven, have replied on your first video site...terific! suffered for many years and after only one week 80% relief. My question is, will I always have to massage two or thre times daily or will the diaphram mend and become normal? Patrick

  • @23813114

  • Thank you so much , each time i finish eating is a total nightmare , i get intense pressure in my solar plexus , get palpitations whenever i bend or lay down , and shortness of breath , is it possible that the hernia gets filled with air , i found out one day that if i take a spoon full of cayenne pepper it gives me an intense reaction , an intense hiccups episode that makes all the air trapped in my plexus come out , with an instant relief. I think i got this hernia from really bad posture.

  • Hello, somebody can do SPANISH SUBTITLE FOR THIS VIDEO PLEASE!, I need know what he are saying for better understand how to do the massage. Thank You!

  • I'm really glad to hear this. Thanks for the positive feedback.

  • I have H.Hernia for more than 40 yrs. It is first time for me to know this new tech. to teat my case. Thank you Doctor.

  • Just to clarify, I'm not a doctor. I'm a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist's Guild. Primarily I teach people about natural healing.

  • Thank you for sharing, I have been suffering from a hiatal hernia for 7 years which has recently caused a run of premature ventricular contractions when I would start to fall asleep. When I mentioned to my cardiologist that I suspected that the PVC's were caused by my hiatal puting pressure on the vagus nerve, he would not even entertain the idea. I feel so much better after just one corrective treatment. Thanks again.

  • Thank you for the feedback. I've know of lots of cases where just massaging down a hiatal hernia has helped ease stress on the heart. The naturopath who taught me this technique said that it could even trigger heart attacks.

  • I am having my colonoscopy this morning, thanks so much for this video!!! I have a small hiatal hernia, and this has been very enlightening!

  • Hello! This technique makes sense and I had already a relieve. How oft and how long should it be done? Once is sufficient? Many many thanks!

  • I agree. It has helped me immensely. Still having the sleeping problems, though.

  • Sorry I didn't respond to your question sooner. My son, who runs the computer stuff at our office made me aware that people had posted comments that I should respond to. You usually have to do these techniques daily for about 3-6 weeks before it starts staying in place.

  • This is incredible. I have been to over fifty doctors with sever stomach pain, waking up with hiccups, tiny burbs coming up my esophagus while lying down along with shortness of breath and the inability to get air into my diaphragm . Not One Doctor wil even listen to me. Not one doctor has done anything for me. This video is aGod Send. Thank you for making it. I just can't thank you enough. Even the valve you talked about in the intestines. I taste something dead in my stomach after eating

  • Hi there, wow this looks great. Can you tell me if you can use these remedies, to stop the pain of a hiatus hernia attack whilst you're having one?

  • doctor, you are such a genious...

  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I'm a massage therapist and I know about 100 people I can use these techniques on. Thank YOU!

  • does it mean u can actually heal hiatus hernia without the surgery?

  • Yes, for many situations, these techniques will help. If the problem persist seek professional help. Surgery is really a last resort.

  • Guys, I didn't understand the part when he says a couple of shots of what????????

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  • A couple of shots of Lobelia

  • Thanks you're awesome, what is your opinion on having surgery to correct this problem?

  • Thank you, I'm starting to feel better already!

  • You're welcome! That's great to hear.
