I have just done a blackwork castle, which I have uploaded on Youtube. I think I am using the wrong type of blackthread as it is too fluffy. I like using black and gold best.

@evascrafts I use DMC threads. If it looks/feels too thick you might need to separate the strands. I used two strands for outlining parts and a single strand for most of the blackwork fills.

@terrapin719 - hmm, I think I did that. I had to move some of the black threads with my finger so that the 'fluff' wouldn't cover the white bits. I have had some great reactions from people about the blackwork and I am entering it in a local exhibition in October.. to spread the word of blackwork. Shd be fun.

Love it. I have only recently discovered blackwork. I am really looking forward to some projects. My first one will be to make a hairband out of it.
