None of SRVs other axes have the muscle and mojo of Number One. You can really heard the difference...this guitar sounds so tinny compare to Number One. Could be the Mpl/Mpl neck...
@catboyzee123 Yea, I have a tele that has a maple/maple neck, I find it doesn't have the amount of balls my other axe does with a rosewood fretboard... Then again, I have a custom with a Wenge neck and Ebony fretboard, and it's awesome.... I think it's just a balance of warm and bright woods.
Its the strings. He had some thin bass stings on his number 1. I like his yellow tele too that he played in the early 80's. Didn't have the ball's of #1 but it screamed.
Stevie is such a badass I'm watching him shread @ 4:30 am to learn rifts and I'm a professional keys player! To one of those last comments about snare-verb...... the keys sounds used, make the red curtain of rage drop over me, I think of dream theater and how those types of sounds ruined peoples perception of the keys when they rein supreme!

If you're going to make a cover version of a song, you should make it your own. Making a better soul/funk version of Superstition is impossible, but Stevie Ray Vaughn makes a pretty damn good blues/rock cover. Not quite my bag, but I can respect that.

SRV at the Wiltern Theater (Los Angeles) was the best concert I have ever seen in my life
I have been to many many shows in my life of 48 years, and yet that one show has not been topped for me.
It was a Fabulous Thunderbirds show, and he was a "special guest".
If anyone can testify, I would appreciate to hear you're opinion.
