  • john wayne died from a cancer to the grief of a lot of his fans and family but a few years ago a doctor in tulsa told sherlene she had cancer after the surgery 12 patients came down with food poisening at least one of them died and on the news i heard a woman awake from anisteashia to find she was being raped i am on the comp. trying to tell others of the dangers of giving to much power to any one set of people as for sherlene you can find out what happened to her at msbones 1950 a slow death

  • wow what a artist great work

  • Nedland20...thanks for the confirmation.

    Great work, btw!

  • This music sounds as if it was composed by Jerome Moross (Big Country)...am I right?

  • You're right, Moross' music from The Jayhawkers. Thanks for watching.

  • Briefly saw John Wayne while I was a grunt in the Corps, he was more than a man, I saw a legend walking about a foot taller than anyone with him, never forgot that back in 1965.

  • this is great artwork; fantastic--keep it up!

  • Very nice work. A good tribute to John, and those that worked with him.

  • Looks great.

  • You are very talented. I enjoyed looking at your art.

  • haha i think i got it, think its the comancheros

  • joefidz, I think you're right.

  • You're right, it is The Comancheros. Thanks a lot for your generous comments.

  • Lee Marvin...Comancheros...WWII hero...Star of the Dirty Dozen and much more

  • damn! you good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,are you on facebook? if so add me, jimmy glavin I too love the duke! Your best pic for me is "stumpy" uncanny!

  • Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for your comments, especially about Stumpy, I had a ball drawing that one. I'm not on facebook but if I join I'll diffinitely add you. If you get a chance check out my online radio station, Golden Age Film Music on live365. It's all Westerns 24 hours a day with a lot of John Wayne music and sound clips. Thanks again,

    Larry

  • just amazing detail and respect in all the pieces.... work, that is like the man himself..Timeless

  • Thanks very much.

  • great job Ned !

A true american hero , I love all his movies along with Clint !!

Pains me to see all the smoking in his movies though ...

    again nice job !!!

  • All of these are marvelous, not only have you captured his likeness but you've managed to capture his essence, his spirit. This is one of the better tributes to this great man I've seen on the net. 38 years after he passed on he remains the biggest film star of all time; these portraits help to explain why that is.

  • Thank you for your comments about my work. I'm planning a longer tribute as soon as I complete a few more works. Thanks again.

  • its sad that he died

  • GREAT GREAT work

  • Tooooo short, but great anyway. I really like the drawings ... it would be nice if some of these were available for "wallpaper" or as a "screensaver"!

  • and most of them are with him now GOD bless them all

  • wow that is all i have to say that is probalby one of the best fitting tribuets to the Duke i have seen ever.
