if your interested in finding out more on animal cruelty in cosmetics you should visit the PETA website. Lancome and Loreal test on animals unfortunately so I don't buy their stuff anymore or at least until their testing policies change

When you say that doing the bottom makes it look a little too much, I also think that that's not exactly the case, but i don't like it because a lot of the time it reshapes the eye, and not in a good way. For you it doesn't, but when I do make-up on people with bigger eyes, it always looks sexier when you don't dot he bottom lashes.

I just did this look using the Loreal Hip (Gilded 806) only. You can use the black-ish gold side for the shadow liner and it looks just as nice.

Milani minerals blush in #201 in Luminous and Lauren's gel liner out of her Vintage glams kit (I don't have liquid liner). Kores natural purple #25 on lips and Mac Lustreglass (instant gold) on lips. I didn't have the red/orange lipstick (not sure that would look good on me anyway ;-)

Easy look to accomplish with stuff you already have on hand.

Mac shadestick isn't really a lid primer, so you could really use anything such as Urban Decay Primer Potion, which I think now comes in a shimmer or Laura Mercier eye basics in "flax".

about the fur, totally agree with ya on that subject, i don't wear fur. but i wonder if most of the people you saw where wearing fake. i havn't been to ny in a few years, i dunno maybe its changed and they do wear fur again which is a shame. but i've always found it difficult to wear anything even resembling fur, maybe its the circles i travel in. i've got this lambs wool lined jacket, and i've actually got shit for wearing that, can you imagine. its not like they hurt the little lambey.

yes. they usually rub the products directly into the animals' eyes to see how much it harms them (in case a human did the same thing) - or feed them the products to see how sick it will make them. It's basically the most disgusting, repulsive, horrible treatment of living creatures ever considering how unnecessary it is.

It's not really "necessary" in the sense that well, it IS just make-up - should living creatures really suffer for it? (As opposed to medical testing which many people see as a lot more necessary). Also, there are lots of comp. programs in the works to test human reaction to substances, as well as use of human tissue (stuff that's been removed in surgery) to test on. A LOT of companies won't test on animals anymore (bodyshop is FANTASTIC). So there are cruelty-free options! :)
