I just started playing Final Doom again. I'm doing it pretty vanilla, just got a mod that allows me to use 16:10 resolutions. I started on Evilution as is recommended by Team TNT and this is so hard. I'm regularly below 50% life - although I give much credit, they don't make your ammo dry up too bad. So it's a lot of action, no bullshit. Sort of plays like Commando if there were a video game of that movie.

I was messing around with the settings for Final Doom and if you have the WAD files from Doom 1 and 2 you can play them on Final Doom, nice little feature.

Do you understand speedrun? If only you spend long time, you can play safely. It is very easy. Speedrun is you finish a map as fast as possible. As a video, a play to which I took time too much only makes viewers tedious. For example, if I safely played the map like map29 of plutonia, 20 minutes will be exceeded. It is very tedious. But, my record of map1 is not so good.

It has been a while since I visited this page. I never played Doom continuously for 14 (now 15) years. I used to play it every day, but not so much now. I always used God Mode to get through the levels because I could never bear the violence of the face-thing (which bothered me up until as late as 2006). I did play Final Doom on Difficulty 3, and that was just atrocious as hell. Final Doom is almost impossible! I've seen people who could beat "Go 2 It" on Nightmare! I could never match them.

if you are using zdoom or any port like DOS or Doom95, make sure your .wad file is in place

(doom.wad, doom2.wad, tnt.wad, or plutonia.wad)
