  • I heard they will start on September 2012 :) They even have a website.

  • Lol I can see most American people don't travel as much as they should! But then again they think they are so smart and it's very obvious they don't know shit. I live in California and I totally will love to see one of those trains in here, but I don't think the state is ready for it. For those who likes to see a train like that go to Europe there are many over there lol!!!

  • Unbelivable! The US is 30 years behind Europe and Asia on railway tech. On 2033 will be 40 years.

  • I hope that thing got good brakes

  • This is so cool it means i could get to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego & Sacramento in another way but don't have to spend so much money on airlines tickets any more.

  • I don't understand why they don't think about Redding. It is a bustling city and will reach 500K soon-they would like to have high-speed trains too....

  • @excelsior27 I think they should make it go to Redding too i agree with you it will be nice but where i live will have high speed train coming soon so yep.

  • Maglev is the future

  • 1:25 Japan's JR 700

  • i think this is going to be built before Amtrak does the NEC.

  • ...and then Amtrak's gonna buy it.

  • @TheDylanJoyce California gives total funding for the trains in CA

  • These trains, they are fast, yes? Or do you think that they will never be what the Californians really wantz? or do they still like to use der cars.

  • this looks so cool

  • Haha - people just don't realize yet just how hopelessly California is bankrupt.

  • @fuzzywzhe

meh, it can cut other costs. And California will get its fiscal act together.

  • @Rickyrab California won't get it's fiscal act together - it will go bankrupt. California has a worse balance sheet than Greece did before it collapsed.

  • @fuzzywzhe blah blah, your a living example of why the monetary system needs to be left behind. We need these trains. Somebody has to do it. Might as well be right now.

  • n the news ive heard it will be put in 8 more monts

  • lol sure. u still got trolleys going up n down hill in mideivil usa, in 2010 while theres maglev trains in japan and china, and TGVs in europe for over 30 years

just accept it already. ur fat behind on europe and even farther behind on the fat east.

you suck creationist- war over oil- war crime-fat-broke-uneducated suckish country =) im 17 and ill probably be great grandad before anything like THIS happens in ur shithole of a counry^^

  • @SatoTM3 Yup, you're so educated than Americans, that you spell "far" as "fat," use text language while typing, and don't use proper punctuation. You think that the opinions of our poor, corrupt government represent the exact opinions of the people (which they don't). Fail.

  • @SatoTM3 *so much more (grammar error)

  • for being the poorest state this is crazy. World's most expensive school, US's first bullet train. Damn.... I LOVE CA. So happy to be born here.

  • i dont know but in california i dont think ist a good idea theres too much sismic activity,,,, it would be good investment in the rest of the US but not cali...

  • cant wait to lunch in san fran then be back just b4 dinner in LA...sweet

  • a faster train than the Amtrak Acela O.o

  • Construction may start as soon as 2011, next year xD, which is the backbone of the project. From Los Angeles to San Fransisco. It's planned to start running by 2016 or 2018.. I'll be 26 or 28 years old -.-" ugh

  • Run it down 101 for Christ's sake instead of Caltrain!

  • i like the idea. although i find it funny to see the buildings and better railway stations all pop up...we need that.

  • Looks promising. So the US is finally following the rest of the world, it is about time. The trains look like JR Shinkansen series in NS (Dutch Railways) Intercity livery.

  • AMAIZING! I

  • do you know when they are going to make this

  • No, but I do know it will be in a long time, like in the 2020's.

  • Hoped it would be sooner.

  • When I saw it, I hoped it would be sooner too.

  • Wow! That sounds cool!

  • @sideslide23 DesertXpress is a private compnay breaking ground in March 2011.

  • @gibb1991 how about Desert Lightning, they use the Same rail Tech accept Desert lightning doesn't only go from Vegas to Middle of L.A. it goes to Phoenix arizona so people can beat the heat.

  • @sideslide23 Yes, but theirs is still in the planning phases. Desert Lightning isn't even expected to begin Environmental Impact studies for several years.

  • @CJTeam who knows maybe there can be a chance bc things can happen fast maybe in 2015 or 2018 it can be almost ready its so cool the train be going up to speed at 220 mph!!

  • @mrsabatini this train looks cool and soon all trains will be hovering too and of course flying

  • @mrsabatini thats not long

  • @CJTeam The backbone line between Los Angeles and San Francisco will open in 2020 and the lines to Sacramento and San Diego will open in 2025.

  • @CJTeam FIRST COMPLETION PLANS WERE FOR 2019.....NOW THEY ARE STILL HOPING FOR THAT DATE, BUT TODAY IT CAME OUT ON YAHOO THAT THE FINAL PHASE MAY NOT BE DONE UNTIL 2033......THAT STINKS BECAUSE MY SISTER WENT TO SPAIN THIS YEAR, AND THE BULLET TRAINS THERE KICK BUTT.....SHE LOVED IT......Sierra Cuban, Miami, Florida
