I love watching your videos...but I LOVE listening to your terrific accent! As an older woman (53), whose daughter (21) is taking a makeup and special Effects Makeup course, I like to follow what is new out there and what is part of her new world. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos, I find them helpful and informative. Keep up the good work , Siobhan!
@mmuddbug Ahh thank you for your kind comment. Really appreciate it and you watching my videos:) Great mom for being so involved in your daughters passions! Lucky girl:) x
@LetzMakeup They sent me the fair and the ultra fair luckily otherwise I would have been in trouble too! Are you coming to the guru meet up in Dublin? Lovely to see ya there!
@TheMakeupChair Yeah, good stuff! I only heard of the meet up last week, sounds great and would love to go but unfortunately stupid work has me bound here right up til Christmas. Sounds like it would be a bit of craic!
....I haven't seen many eyeshadow tutorials...with airbrush system.....and the ones I have seen..were done with neutrals..I wanna see me some purples!..Hopefully they go on nicely...I especially liked the tone of the darker purple...
I'm just as light as you, only I've a lot of pink in my skin. I'm in the US and it is really hard to find the right color here, as most brands have colors that are too light or too dark, its weird. maybe american brands just do that.
I managed to watch all the video :). Great review. I might be getting some air brush kit soon and this is one of the options. However now I'm scared to order the medium foundations. I saw other people using the gun to do hair art too with some stencils. The options are endless I guess. XXX
to cover blemishes you can turn it on low and go in really close and spot conceal. I also agree with whoever said that a soft fan brush gets rid of the hairy face LOL
You can mix the shades and you can also buy colour correctors.
I have the DINAIR BEAUTY COMPRESSOR III and it has a holder for the gun and has a very good adjustable airflow dial. None of this one or three speed nonsense! Alcohol based foundations are more for covering tattoos etc. I do prefer silicone based foundations though, Temptu s/b is my fave :) As for waterbased, the Dinair and OCC ones come in reeeeally fair colours, I'm fairer than you and one is too pale! Great, thorough review.
Hi Shiv, thanks for the review. I've found the dinair airbrush system really good. Most of the complaints you mentioned are catered for. It's matte finish but can be glossed up with the addition of moist and dewy. The shade range is enormous and suits even my pale tone. The compressor includes a holder for the airbrush/stylus and they offer a 30% disc for makeup artist pro club membership. But even without that my package was just under 200usd. They also provide your choice of country adaptors
@LetzMakeup they must reckon that we all like to look like we have been tangoed they dont give us pale girls much love in the foundation department pity they dont make 2 shades equally as pale but one for pink toned and one for yellow toned
Do you prefer waterbased or silicone based foundations? I use the Temptu silicone foundations and I really like them. I've had good success with using a soft fan brush to brush the foundation off the fuzz. IMO, all compressors should have airbrush stands. :D
@sokolum79 Silicone for lasting ability and withstanding my t-zone. Water based makeup just doesn't last on me as well. Tried the fan brush trick and it worked! great trick. x
@honeynigiri shaving doesn't make hair worse, thicker or darker, and laser hair removal doesn't work on light hair, so on the peach fuzz the skin would just be bleached.
@pobstrel Yeah, not impressed by the colours either really. Should be getting another system from a different company soon so will be good to compare!
I have a lot of fine downy peach fuzz on the sides of my face. Im in cosmetology school and makeup is a required part of our uniform. I shave my face because my skin is terribly dry and combine that with the fuzz and foundation looks crazy. Tried to wax it, skin was irritated so bad it broke out like acne. Just lock the bathroom door so nobody sees you shaving your cheeks! Lol
@honeynigiri Actually it's a myth that shaving makes your hair grow thicker. You can only do that if you damage the hair follicle which shaving doesn't do.
If you're worried about facial hair then threading is really cheap!
@plabebob ...Have you ever shaved for a consistent period of time? Pulling the hair out traumatises the hair follicle, weakening it and making it so that, over time, less hair grows, though it will end up being quite patchy.
@2thebitterend Yeah, despite what people think, I've learned that many many women shave and it's totally fine. Hair may seem a tad thicker growing back due to the blunt cut of the hair shaft but It's not actually thicker. And it's a great way of exfoliating too I bet!! x
Love Irish Women, the accent has to be one of my favorites among European Women. Seeing as how I am half Irish, I really need to get there one of these days. Beautiful eyes as well. So much talent in Ireland.
I enjoyed the nice long demo actually! I've used airbrush products once and liked the results but I've been told that you can't touch the face after applying it because it rubs off, so when we were trying it in college we applied the eye makeup first. I know it's used a lot for bridal makeup but if it rubs off, is that not a bit silly and pointless?? Does it rub off though, how did you find it? Also I've heard Kett is a really good brand of airbrush makeup so they might be worth looking into? ;)
@Tigerlily86sk It doesn't rub off too easily when it dries and especially when you set it with powder. Definitely can't touch it when it's still wet though, totally ruins the coverage!
@h3avenonearth2 She said it was a full review and demo, so if you don't like the sound of the title (assuming you even read it), don't bother watching the video. Most people will appreciate the time she took to film this video, so don't be a smart arse, it's not big and it's definitely not clever. Nobody will miss you if you go, bye bye now...

so you can mix the pink and yellow under tones with it...
