  • this is so great

  • something like this would never happen at roo again.....now the kids just waNt their damn eminem and lil wayne.....such a fucking shame how corporate and mainstream bonnaroo is now

  • @nlukaszonas77, with all due respect to jerry, who i love, when trey is on he's the greatest guitarist in history, he can play whatever the hell he wants

  • @harpua76 agreed. Listened to as much Jerry as I could get my hands on....and I love him also, but Trey can just go in so many directions on cue and make it sound composed and planned.....it's reallly amazing to hear him when he's on

  • Where's the NFA?

  • Grateful!

  • trey and phil.. thats a duo.. none of that dave mathews shit stay away from that stuff trey haha

  • Trey has no business doing jerry

  • @nlukaszonas77 jesus man let him jam on a song with phil.. jerry was an amazing musician he wasnt God

  • @nlukaszonas77 Trey does what he wants

  • @tj63969 worddddd

  • This was 2006. I thought the night wouldn't get any better after radiohead & then I stumbled across this happening. It was like a dream come true. It was late night/early morning. I had no idea this would be happening, I was completely shocked. It was a great festival, oysterhead, mike & rambledove, les claypool's fancy band

  • mike getting the nod from trey i love it

  • pretty awesome stuff here no matter how you look at it... rock on phil and trey and everyone.

  • out of the four straight years I went to bonnaroo, I must say that this was my favorite show, and it was a surprise.

  • Hey lets get a revisited version this year at Bonnafarm this year!!!!!

  • Man this is outa control!!! i almost f-in fainted when i saw the description of this song!!!

  • So fun watching Trey having so much fun himself...the guy's contagious

  • this is great thanks for posting!

  • Walked up to show right in the middle of this; walked in dancin left puking. I love Bonaroo.

  • that's at time 2:57 if anyone is wondering.

Mike does an amazing job w/ Jerry's vocals... sounds better than Phil or Trey for sure!

  • Love how Trey motioned over to Mike to take the next verse, that was so unlike him at the time, but a big nod to Mike, gave me chills! SO glad Phish back!

  • That isn't "We Bid You Goodnight." It is just the outro to GDTRFB. They do sound similar though...

  • This is a great song, a beautiful tribute to Jerry, great guitar by trey and a smooth job by all! Hi everyone I was so lucky 2nd year Phish was at red rocks I gave Paige a ride in my cab, we got to talking, I told Paige I was at their 1st red rocks show the previous year, Paige gave me parking, free ticket and backstage pass to that nites red rocks show I saw Trey backstage after the show ty Paige!!!!

  • i was sleeping during this

  • hes not playing jerry very well

  • dude i can understand why you wouldnt like the guitar on this because its not treys style. but this is also a dead song. hes playing jerry man.

  • bonnaroo has become way too commercialized unfortuniitly but beccause of preformances like this its still worth going too

  • you guys are crazy! trey is paying respect to Jerry in the style that he's playing. It fits perfectly, I think, and I love this cover!

  • trey is one of my favorite guitarists..

sadly i agree with you in this clip.. im pretty sure hes as high as kite. on dope. this is pre cleanup.

  • ..pretty sure

  • applefog--uve got to be kiddin' me--the youngsters suck--when i was a kid i knew who the who and zep were!!nowadays u guys don't know shit!!FU--DRE

  • AlsoYoungsters, this is a good version of how the Dead played this song back in 1972 or so give or take a few years, also Trey goes into We bid you Goodnite at 8:00 great show guys!!! A great Jerry Medley coollllllllll

  • Bonnaroo is so fun! So is Superjam! You never know who you will see get together and jam. (PS I met Mike Gordon at the Radiohead show right before this!)

  • @trickye999 radiohead was 2007, no?

  • @pcburgh01 nope

  • @pcburgh01 No I'm sure it was 06

  • @trickye999 time sure does. this will always be one of my favorite Roo experiences.

  • Surrender to the phlow, brah!

  • hey applefAg1 go fuck yourself you intolerant church of christ son of a bitch

  • And what exactly would we classify yourself? = )

  • hahaha you suck!

  • Keep that thunderin bass chugging down the road Phil and stay healthy! A great song, sweet piano and a generous dose of good boogie.

  • i can't post a link to it but just search for Trey and Warren adn itr will be the forst on on there.

  • i would not put Trey down so much. he will get stuck in a few ruts when jamming some time but in my opinion he is very good at playing various styles and genre's. even next to Warren. check this one out of Warrenadn Trey dualing on "Funky Bitch".

  • I love this song so much.

  • good ol trey! no wonder phil likes to play with him, he's like jerry garcia part 2

  • no...

  • This is badass!! It's great to see them all playing together... Definitely a good energy coming from it and them.....Sorry I missed Bonnaroo... Perhaps next time, Mike, Trey, & Phil are all phenomenal musicians... :-)

  • thanks for sharing

  • Great show

  • yeah trey is defiantly not gay but it defiantly dissapoints me seeing what hes playing now compared to back around 94 it just is a waste to see my favorite talent in the world go down the toilet becuase of drugs

  • shut it banooba, obviously you dont know anything

  • wow your intelligent. Lets call someone gay because he isnt as good as he was in his prime. Even though he is better than any other guitarist out there right now

  • trey is so gaaaay, he hasnt been good since like 2003

  • you are a retard... first trey is not gay...hes one of the most amazing guitar players of our time, and trey is still f'in good. been to 34 phish concerts, and saw him at bonnaroo 2 times.....yeah guess what? hes still good....go learn about music punk

  • lol, dont cry about it, its just my opinion thats all, i just think there are alot of better guitar players out there right now... like jimmy herring, warren haynes, derek trucks etc but.... these guys dont compare to trey in like 97 when he was experimenting with alot of chord soloing, delay looping jams, and is it me or does trey play the same lick every time nowadays?

  • I would sadly have to agree the Trey does get stuck on repeating the same riffs. At least their good ones :P

  • i really hate it when people who know nothing about music try it dis people such as Trey

  • wow, great job! must have been tough not being able to dance & filming... :) we ALL appreciate it!!

  • yeah um... they ruined the meaning of the song and certainly the spirit of it it was written by woody guthrie and lee hays the song is about leaving the dustbowl

  • cool.

  • i guess i'd better get started pasting that message onto videos so the candyman doesn't get me

  • that is what it's all about, playing music while haveing fun.

  • Wow, awesome, Jerry would be pleased.

  • ah i was passed out at the campsite for this one... real big fuck up on my part

  • i hear great things about bonnaroo

  • Awe Inspiring.

  • Thanks man, that was awesome. One of my all time favorite songs, and to see the colaborative effort and the enjoyment of the musicians was great. That's how all music video should be shot, you can see exactly what their doing on their instruments, and you can see how much they're getting into it, they were truly having fun playing it.

  • I was there and it was incredible.

  • Awesome video, great players.

  • thanks man - looks like a great time had by all.
