  • I guess God told you it was the one He blessed! Anyway, here's the point, the Devil uses many tools to divide God's people. The KJV only movement is just one of these tools. I think the Lord would be much more pleased with how much we have done to win lost souls over what "'translation" we read. It wont matter in eternity, lets just call it an opion and move on to what He has called us to do. God bless you in whatever you do to further the Kingdom, and let's just fight the good fight!

  • Amazing! God's word is serious business, but your bantering back & forth is nothing more than your EGOs on parade. If the KJV is the only acceptable version, I pray for those who read other available texts prior to 1611.

  • Let's preach salvation and stop this insane display of ignorance! We have lost the reason we are here, not to argue which "translation" to read, but to win as many people as we can.....this is NOT the way to do so! This is an opinion, glad you have one, now get over it and move on!

  • Oh that voice! I'm sorry - I know I'm going to sound like I'm worshiping a man, and not God when I say that. But for ANYONE that has been under Preacher for 4 years - you WILL understand what I mean. I miss his voice so much. It is like that nice ole familiar voice I heard - week in and week out - for four long years! If you have a grandpa (I never had one) and you were close to your grandpa, you will understand. Oh, what a voice. I can hear him now 'Look at me, put your pens down!"

  • Does anyone know why Hyles didn't like PCC. They are KJV only too?

  • @405Cowboy, PCC is not a Bible college, but a Christian University that has classes such as "Biology" or "Business". A Bible college is to go into full time Christian service - to become a pastor, aChristian school teacher or into music. PCC I just found out is a Christian University (similar to California Baptist College). I actually thought PCC was the same college as Dr. Peter Ruckman. Bible college = hired in a church Christian University = hired anywhere. That is the name reason.

  • @sandbar3000 Let's just remember that if we are a Christian we are ALL in full time Christian service. or should be anyway

  • @Godnotman, not all saved are called to be preachers or pastors, but all saved do have the responsibility to share the gospel to others - and one does not need to be a full-time pastor or a full-time Christian school teacher. One can be a factor worker and still witness for Christ. Some people in churches think "Well, I'm not the pastor, it is not my job to do bla bla bla", but that is a cop out. We all need to witness for Christ, no matter what.

  • "And yet you send your little darlin' down to Pensacolla" Jack Hyles. Did he have issues with PCC even though they are an IFB school?

  • @405Cowboy, PCC is a IFB school? Really?

  • @sandbar3000 yes PCC is IFB and the only IFB school that Hyles criticized heavily every year at Pastors School as you cna see in this video, Hyles never liked PCC and Schaap doesn't either apparently.

  • @405Cowboy, I do not understand how someone (anyone) can put down a college of similar values. Seems weird to me. I'm glad I'm not a HAC student anymore - and I'm not wrapped up in that culture. That can be very damaging to growth as a Christian to always look at "others" and put them down.

  • What did Bro. Hyles have against PCC? They're a fundamentalist school. Did they go liberal and accept CCM music and John MacArthur?

  • The Bible says that humans are made of dirt.

And that snakes and donkeys talk.

And that insects have 4 legs.

    And that bats are birds.

And that the earth is flat.

And that the sun revolves around the earth.

And that animals appeared AFTER man but BEFORE woman.

And you are fretting about which VERSION to use?

    Amazing.

  • @Imaginefree69 Insects do have 4 legs and 2 arms, snakes and donkeys can talk by God or the devil, bible said the earth is circle, birds and bats both fly, man was made in Gods image and i would like the verse on the other thing you said from kjv plz

  • @hellokatter "Insects do have 4 legs and 2 arms"

    Bwahahahahaha!!!

Yes, and 2 cute little handses to fold when they pray to Jesus.

    Hahahahaha!!!!

    Get real.

I have no intention of wasting my time with childish imaginations.

  • @Imaginefree69 guess you are not as dedicated as i thought

  • If the foundations be destroyed what can the righteous do?

The only Bible you need is the Word of God and that is in the KJV and only the KJV!

  • I was going to respond to a lady that has an issue with final authority and the word of God.

But she deleted her comment after she posted it, and I saw it.

I turn around your statement that "at" was a mistranslation. Tell why your version of it is right and the KJV translators versed in more languages that you will ever know got it wrong.

  • KJV translators were not super human computers who could not make mistakes. It is also way off topic for you to tell me how well versed I am.

People strain at exercising etc, no one ever strains at gnats especially when in contrast to swallowing a camel.

Care to answer the question yourself?

  • See on that one, I don't know why one would be right over the other, but I know that the translators were versed in at least 5 different languages each as if it were their native language, and I only know 1 language like that.

It was 9 groups of 6 that translated that Bible, and they passed sections around to make sure it was correct.

These days, you may have just a few translators translating, and they are not as well versed at all as were the KJV translators. They have amazing backgrounds.

  • And besides that, don't you think the KJV translators could have thought of that? Do you think they were just on a drunken binge one night, and and just screwed that one up?

Come on... They KJV translators know their languages better than me, and I am going to say you too, unless you are 100% fluent in Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Aramaic, French, and all the in between languages.

Come darthfocus, be honest here. God hates a lying tongue. Oops, you didn't sin did you? :)

  • " I don't know" - is not an answer.

Can you identify who is speaking in this quote?

"Therefore as S. Augustine saith, that varietie of Translations is profitable for the finding out of the sense of the Scriptures: so diversitie of signification and sense in the margine, where the text is not so cleare, must needes doe good, yea, is necessary, as we are perswaded."

Answer: the KJV translators, who weren't so arrogant to suppose theirs was the only viable translation.

  • There's was the only readable English translation at the time. The next English translation was The Revised Version in England that came out in 1881. The ASV came out in 1901 in the US. So for years the KJV was the only English translation.

Great revivals and great things happened during that time.

Quite frankly, I don't think you are smarter than those KJV translators. So if I have to chose between your translation of it and theirs, guess who i am going with.

    Jesus said that verse.

  • It's a logical fallacy to belittle ones intellect as a means of dismissing their position especially when one is unable to answer the opponents question.

The "amazing minds" of the KJV authors disagree with your position in that they expressly said that other translations were "necessary".

Perhaps the KJV only crowd would do well to take that advice and explain once and for all how one strains at a gnat.

  • I have been meaning to ask, what is your interpretation of I Timothy chapter 3?

I did answer your question. Jesus is speaking in that passage. That is clear. I am not belittling your intellect, but it is a fallacy for you to think you found an error in the KJV that the King James Translators just simply missed.

The KJV didn't just come out overnight.

If you are right then we don't have the word of God.

  • "I did answer your question. Jesus is speaking in that passage. That is clear."

-No, it was a quote from the KJV translators who dispelled any notion that their translation was the only "true" one.

"to think you found an error in the KJV that the King James Translators just simply missed."

-So you admit they missed something?

  • I understand that there are large amount of extant Greek manuscripts, but I don't read Greek. I read English. At this point in the time English is the universal language. It is even being taught in China.

I also know manuscripts can be compared for accuracy, but God promised to preserve his word.

So do we have the inerrant word of God or do we not have the inerrant word of God.

Do I have to go the greek to find the inerrant word of God?

  • "I am not belittling your intellect"

-You constantly bring my intellect into the debate and even dare suggest I was lying. This is known as the fallacy of Ad Hominem. Asking me about 1 Tim is a red herring fallacy.

"but it is a fallacy for you"

-I have not violated any rules of argumentation and you are using "fallacy" out of context. You would do well to familiarize yourself with logical fallacies as they would help you stay on topic and argue more effectively.

  • We either have the inerrant word of God that we can have access to or we don't which is it?

God did not promise to almost preserve in word with minor errors; He promised to preserve is word and that the purity would extend to each and every word.

So which is it? Do we have it not? It makes a difference. Where is the word of God that has been preserved? That is the issue here.

Every word of God is pure... Prov 30:5

  • It's not fair to ask new questions, you won't answer mine.

One should side with the authors of the KJV who explicitly said other translations were necessary. Your argument is with them.

You even said they "missed" something which invalidates your position.

"Where is the word of God that has been preserved?"

-The same place it was before the KJV and where it will be after the earth is burned up.

I'll give you the last word as you are basically talking past me.

    May Jesus be praised!

  • The new questions are rhetorical in response to what you were telling me about having manuscripts. The point is that you can't have an almost perfect Bible it also be the word of God.

The KJV translators said TRANSLATION was necessary, not other translations were necessary.

Again, you missed what I said. I did not say they "missed" anything. I said the odds that the missed anything like that are slim to none.

Before the KJV, English was just becoming English. Do we have it or not?

  • @josephericlopez "We either have the inerrant word of God that we can have access to or we don't which is it?"

    We don't.

    That was easy.

  • @Imaginefree69 wow! Well, at least your are honest and tell us that you think that.

  • @josephericlopez The Bible is a Bronze Age book of myth. I mean, look at the ending of the story- After the unicorns and talking animals and men walking on the water and 600 year old goat herders building a Titanic out of desert shrubs, the Prince rides up on his White Horse, rescues the princess, marries her, and takes her away to live happily ever after in his mansion in the sky. Only those inside the delusion can take this seriously. To everyone else it is obviously a fairy tale. Be free.
  • @Imaginefree69 I have read that book through several times, and I did not see anything about unicorns or any of the other stuff you mentioned in there. We must be looking at two different Bibles.

We will all be judged one day by the words that are written in that book.

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." --John 12:48

  • @josephericlopez So you didn't see the unicorns? Nor the talking beasts? Nor Noah's ark? Nor Jesus on a white horse? Nor the heavenly mansion? I think maybe you are lying, then, when you claim to have read the Bible through. Yes, yes, I'm pretty sure. Either you have Alzheimer's or you are lying. because it's all there in your "Authorized" KJV and none of it is difficult to find. WHY do you people think you can explain and defend a book you have never read? Why?
  • @Imaginefree69 Noah's Ark = yes.

    What beast talks?

Heavenly manions = yes John ch 14

  • @josephericlopez "What beast talks?" No, you have definitely never read a Bible. Portions, no doubt, as prompted by your denominational Sunday School lesson book, or bits seen in a Chick tract, but you have obviously never read most of it. . "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. Genesis 3:1 - 6 . The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?" . Lying for Jesus is very sad.
  • @Imaginefree69 Show me where the word "unicorn" appears in the Bible. If I have Alzheimers, you saw it after being on crack!

  • @josephericlopez "If I have Alzheimers, you saw it after being on crack!" No, sir, it's right there in the KJV you worship. Worship but do not believe. Why do Christians think they can explain or defend a book they have never read? How can they imagine that they "believe" and "follow" and "obey" a SOLA SCRIPTURA, the contents of which they are wholly ignorant of? If someone could explain that to me I would be most appreciative. Really, I would.
  • @Imaginefree69 You are wrong, unlearned, un-researched, too stupid to live, a Christ rejector, and on crack!

  • @josephericlopez Well, I see that the fruit of the Spirit

is a bit corrupted in your case.

And if you really cannot see the unicorns

I don't understand how you can use a computer.

  • @josephericlopez Have you spotted the unicorns yet, Joseph?

  • watch?v=m7rP2cyZdu0

  • Since Peter and Paul used the KJV shouldn't we? Oh yeah, they didn't, never mind.

  • Their manuscripts had the same reads our KJV does today. That is the same sentences and phrases.

Other modern versions truncate and take away parts of the Bible.

There is a 2nd century French Olivetian Bible that also contains the same sentences and readings the KJV does.

  • The KJV is a fine translation but it has errors, it's not an original, therefore it has errors. Jesus didn't use the KJV yet was able to learn the OT.

  • Its not an original, but it can't have errors, or we can't call the the Bible inerrant.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

    That was Psalm 12:6-7.

God promised to preserve his word for every generation.

Did Jesus have to originals of the Old Testament when he quoted them? How about the Apostle Paul, did he?

  • Comment removed

  • God promised to preserve his word from generation to generation. Psalm 12:6-7. Now either we have the word of God or we don't.

If there is one error in it, then we don't have the word of God.

If I ask where is it? And you say in the originals, well we don't have the originals, so then we don't have the word of God!

  • I read the next set of comments. If the Bible is ONLY inerrant in the original, then we have a problem, because WE DONT HAVE THE ORIGINALS TO ACCESS.

NO ONE DOES, AND THAT WOULD MEAN WE DON'T HAVE AN INERRANT BIBLE.

THE REAL ISSUE IS SUBMITTING TO A FINAL AUTHORITY, THE WORD OF GOD. IF ITS NOT PERFECT THAN A PASTOR CAN BE THE FINAL AUTHORITY.

  • The word "hell" occurs 31 times in the Old Testament in the King James Bible. In the Old Testament of the modern versions, do you know how many times it occurs? - ZERO!!!

The affect of this even caused a critic to come out, and he said 'the word "hell" only appears in the New Testament; therefore, the Old & New Testament don't belong together!'

Sorry, but he wasn't holding a Bible.

  • Right, it has been switched to Hades. The so-called Jehovah's Wintesss will like that.

  • The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek, not in King James English. What do missionaries, go and preach the word "to every creature" in English? The original text was inspired, not the KJV. We have God's preserved Word in many translations.

  • Why do the KJV park their brains at the door??? Duh I stupid. Jack Hyles was a whore.

  • If one can only be saved through the KJV then I'm not saved. lol. We aren't saved by the Bible version we read, but by God's grace through faith! Eph. 2:8

  • other version are still crap and not worth a penny

  • @yesuahabibii =

I wouldn't consider believing a counterfeit "bible" to be anything to "lol" about! And how do you know that the faith you're depending upon for salvation is the right kind of faith, as delievered by the NIV and all other English per-versions?

If God preserved his words, as he pledged to do, why is it a stretch to think that in English, they appear in the KJV? From 1611 to 1891, it was the ONLY Bible available for English speakers! That's 280 YEARS, bub!

  • @yesuahabibii Amen

  • @yesuahabibii but faith comes by hearing the word of God... Therefore the question, What is the Word of God? Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 1 pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 2 Tim 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus... See how serious this is?

  • Oops, I mean, Later in 1990's, Hyles became KJVO huh??? Also, he wroted in "Enemies of Soul Winning". He said, no person can be born again from corruptible Bible. Only saved from KJV- the perfect incorruptible Bible. LOL. I disagreed

  • Dr. Hyles wrote that old book in year 1967. But, he made copied from his old sermon notes from Miller Baptist Church in Texas in 1953. That time, he was NOT KJVO. Later, in 1990's, he became KJV huh??

  • I have Dr. Hyles' old book - "Let's Study The Revelation". His comment on Rev. 13:15 in pp.72- "AND HE HAD POWER" is better translated, And to him was gives power". Also, his another comment on Rev. 22:14- "DO HIS COMMANDMENT" should be translated, "washed their robes". in pp. 117

  • Hosea 11:12

(KJV) "Judah yet ruleth with God."

(NIV) "Judah is unruly against God."

Would you say that is saying the same thing??? "Things that are Different Are Not the Same."

  • Jack's mother was a legalist! She is the one who taught him that movie-going, card-playing, dancing and mixed bathing and smoking are sinful. The Bible does not categorically condemn any of those activities and for his mama and him to say that they are wrong and displeasing to God is legalism.

  • God is doing an amazing work at Pensacola Christian College. I respect Dr. Hyles, but I don't agree with him saying that you shouldn't send your children to PCC. I have no problem with him favoring Hyles, but don't put down a college that God is using to prepare Christians for ministry. I thought we were on the same team.

  • Both schools are very legalistic. Pointless rules and regulations to control their students. Those do's and don'ts go beyond what the Bible says. It's legalism, not the legalism that says salvation is Jesus +...but man-made traditions added and put on an equal level with Scripture.

  • As a student of HAC, I never understood why everyone always put down Pensecola or how ever it is spelled. I never went there and I knew a HAC student that came from Pensecola and SHE became one of my best friends while at HAC. (mind you-she was mocked, made fun of and left HAC 1 semester after coming due to people not befriending her). I wish I had her number. She was one of the kindest person I knew while at Hyles and she did not stand for gossip-any of it.

  • It dosnt matter you independent or not. Jesus said: I am the way , the truth, and the life. If you dont have the truth you dont have life. Because you of your father the Devil, the father of all liars. JOHN 8:44.

  • This one of the reasons why I will never be an independent baptist again. I am a southern baptist until the Lord returns or calls me home!

  • We better start being Christians that accept the full gospel and leave this other junk alone!

  • What are you calling junk?

  • The false doctrines and lies taught in most churches today.

  • Is King James Onlyism, like what is taught here, false doctrine and lies, chrisman812?

  • Naw

  • Amen!!! Proud Southern Baptist - I broke free about four years ago and have seen many souls won to the Lord, and many lives changes, truly changed!

  • It's called brain-washed...What I find interesting is all these people want to bash any Christian that loves the Lord, but doesn't follow their man made rules. The Bible is God's Word.period. The KJV is NOTHING but a translastion of His Word, just like the NIV, ASV, ect...What in the world are people who do not speak English suppose to read?! I guess those Christians are heretics as well. Wake up guys, it is ALL about the Lord, not your rules..it's His!

  • @Godnotman, did you know that the NIV in the book of Isaiah makes Satan as God? Yeap, it does. You should compare what the NIV says and the King James says! The King James also says that Christ was the only BEGOTTON son of God - unlike the NIV - says 'the only son of God". Well, guess what? ADAM was the son of God. And when a man gets saved- he becomes the SON of God. So- God doesn't really have only "ONE son" like the NIV says!!

  • I dont know about anyone else but i noticed the people that come back to their home church with the most zeal and the people that are the most happiest are the ones that come back from Hyles-Anderson, everyone else looks kinda gloomy.

  • Another thing, King James was a homosexual.

  • Prove it!

  • I did some more research, it is chapter 5 of his book, "Enemies of Soulwinning".

  • whats he talkin about "and yet you send your little darling down to pensacola"? the NIV is simply a translation of the KJV, just like Shakespeare is translated into modern english. it means the exact same thing, its just easier to understand in modern day english if you have bad comprehesion skills.

  • 2 Kings 8:26

    2 Chronicles 22:2

  • Non-KJV Only christians like myself are typically called heretics by KJV-only christians.

  • First of all, I'd like to say that Jesus Christ Himself said in Matthew 10:34, "Think not that have come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." The sword, here, refers to the Bible. God did not send peace, as there will never be peace when you preach God's true Word. Many will have strife, such as is the case here. Some are non believers, some are believers. Jesus Christ calls those who trust in Him as a believer.

  • richen1, I disagree with your assumption that Jesus is talking about the Bible when He says that "I came not to bring peace, but a sword." Can you prove to me that is what that verse means? No disrespect intended, I would just like to hear another viewpoint.

  • I'm not sure. I copied and pasted the above comment about his book, Enemies of Soulwinning off of wikipedia.

Dr. Hyles goes as far on the KJV Only position and Barack Obama goes on liberalism.

  • I from country Loas. Speak little english. What Bible should I read in Laotian language?

  • In his book, Enemies of Soulwinning, Jack Hyles taught that one could not be born again if any other Bible except the King James Version was used.

  • It's TRUE!!!!

  • Dr. Hyles said that a person could not be saved if they did not use the KJV Bible. He was ultra-legalistic. That is not true. How did God save people before 1611? Hyles heresey!!

  • We read the KJV at our church, but I sometimes read the NASB at home. Does that mean I will lose my salvation? After listening to the KJV-onlyism mouthpieces one would think so. I am, of course, being sarcastic. I can't lose my salvation. God chose me to be saved and He will keep me throughout all eternity.

  • Amen!! Dr. Hyles makes Bob Jones Unversity look liberal. He even makes Pensacola Christian College look mild.

Another one of those hell, fire and brimstone preachers. He may be part of that crowd that Jesus spoke about "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord...."

  • @blacknewfie, if you placed your faith in Christ and Him alone - you can't lose your salvation, but I'd be very careful with reading the NASB. God's word is inspired and perserved and we are not to not change any words in it. Read up on the Textus Receptus vs the Majority Text to find more answers.

  • @sandbar3000

I have read up on the subject and the KJV Onlyists arguments carry no weight. The KJV is not an inspired translation. It is a translation of the inspired Word, just like the NASB, ESV, etc. Your standard is the KJV, so anything that deviates from that is changed? It didn't know that Jesus and Moses spoke in 17th century Elizabethian English?

  • @blacknewfie Good comment, the KJV only movement has done more to destroy than to ever build up. You are correct, the KJV is only a translation. A lot of KJV onlyists believe what they believe because some preacher like the one in this video has told them it is so, in fact, many think the KJV was actually inspired by God himself. The only thing you can do when you encounter such ignorance is to excuse it and just move on

  • @Godnotman

Really? ive looked through the NIV, ESV, NKJV etc. and for some strange reason they seem to have missing verses or words being twisted. Not to mention that the devil would most certainly try to ruin an important tool for a christian to develop his spirituality not to mention possibly the most important tool besides praying. The devil has perverted many things God has created what makes you think he would not touch Gods word?

  • @shaolinfingers Yes, really! First of all the KJV is ONLY a translation of God's Word, which by the way was not written in English. So unless you can read the original language, how do you know what was "left out", and do you think God inspired the King James translators, how do you know your version is translated properly? This again is nothing but ignorance, stop worshipping a translation, and know that many have come to know the Lord and serve him through MANY translations! God not man!

  • @Godnotman its the one God has chosen to bless, when king james had the Bible translated he had the top scholars of the world translate from hebrew/greek to english (they spoke hebrew) you also seem to have dodged my question, would the devil pervert Gods word? and the answer is yes he most certainly would. This has nothing to do with worshiping a translation, dont make snide insinuations. Other translations have the bible telling you to live wickedly (i can give you a reference if you want)

  • strange, it is, that the marketing of the perversions claim to be easier to read than the KJV, BUT, the KJB is a 5th grade reading level. fewer words per sentence, fewer syllables per word Tit 1:10-11 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

  • none of the reading levels really make sense... I mean, a fifth grader reading Isaiah 5? and who really cares how many syllables are used... I want accuracy, and the eclectic texts have that over the "textus receptus" 2nd edition

  • the eclectic texts which use some of everything and is mostly influenced by the alexandrian manuscripts- from what i know. and that is NOT good, unless to subscribe to catholicism and the gnostic gospels

  • do you realize who Erasumus was and that he didn't have a complete NT so for the parts he was missing he used the vulgate and wrote back to Rome?

  • Why did Hyles publicly support a child molester (AV Ballenger) when he was caught molesting a 7 year old girl in his Sunday school?

And quit referring to Hyles as "Dr Hyles." He used it from an HONORARY "doctorate" from an UNACCREDITED school ran by his supporters.

It diminishes the real people who contribute to society... doctors who cure the sick, scientists who find cures, and professors who do research.

  • The KJV is the right book brother, Amen, and Amen...

  • You are a heretic!!!! :( Extremely legalistic!!!!!!

  • That is right "thisallure", we are to love one another. But we are to hate every false way. Did not the devil, from the beginning of time alter God's Word? "Yea hath God said...?" Go ahead and read these new versions that deny the blood, the virgin birth, the deity of Christ. You then have not the Son of God who came to this earth. Also, the KJB came not from the corrupt texts as do all the others. Do a study and find out how many verses Westcott and Hort took out because they didn't like it

  • Anyone that can't see the logic in the comment I just posted below, probably doesn't want to see the logic & sriptural truth in it.

    The question then is....why?

  • Uh, ANYONE, ANYWHERE that wants the TRUE "translation" of the Word, better learn Greek & Ancient Hebrew. ANY translation (KJV, NKJV, NIV, NLT, The Message, WHATEVER) falls completely short.

The point of what I'm saying....WHY ARE CHRISTIANS ARGUING OVER THIS?!?! We fight & argue & debate & seperate over....THIS??? Jesus did NOT say that others would know we were His dsiciples by the "translation" we read...He said they would know we were His disciples by OUR "LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER."

  • Nothing like preaching to the choir.

  • The King James Bible is the Word of God!

  • SO is the Geneva Bible that the Pilgrims came over to America on the May Flower!!! So is the (ESV) English Standard Version. Any person that thinks that the KJV is the ONLY version that is the word of God is a legalist.

  • Although I have mostly read from KJV, I also have read from NIV and NLT. THe Bible was not meant to stay in 1600's KJV no more than First Centuries Hebrew, Greek or Latin. If it that was not so then everybody after after the Greek is going to Hel,or after the Latin version is going to Hell,or after the King James is going to Hell for reading and believing all False versions of the Bible.

  • This is totally rediculous. Actually because of the Grace of God all newer different English and multiple other language versions preserved has led to the untold millions of people's salvation after reading and understanding the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and many by faith have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord going being led from an eternity in Hell to eternity home with Jesus Christ in Heaven.

  • I am getting sick and tired of these traditionist ritualist Old Testament Pharasee like teachers and Pastors. They are going against God and pushing away from Christ.

Jesus rebuked the Pharasee like teacher's for being twice as much the son of Hell. They are blinds guides for the blind. They push anybody away who is spiritually hungry to receive salvation because they will not stubbornly receive it themselves in their Pride and Jealousy. Wolves in Sheeps clothing.

  • I'm glad I am a Christian and not a Baptist.

  • christian is not a donamnaion retard u need what do u think christian means

  • pensacola will always suck! and bob jones university sucks too! and so does maranatha

  • This must break God's heart, eh. We Christians are great pharasees.

  • How about knowing the truth that these people aren't Christians. They are heathens. God knows who they are and it is not breaking his heart, they are making him very very angry and his wrath is coming. They are a foolish nation.

  • Jesus and you seem to have different ways of mixing with unbelievers. God is Love.Love trumps all.

    peace

    1 Cor. 10:31

  • Doctor Hyles should crack open his Bible..."They that compare among themselves are not wise..."

  • your head should be cracked open!!!!!!!!!!

  • 676277, you sure are a great example to all of us!

  • all you guys are very jealous of dr hyles! i am not a great christian! but dr hyles was my friend, so screw you jerkoffs who talk crap!

  • Jack Hyles was a wicked, devicive, hyprocrite who was a terrible Bible scholar...Hyles was a numbers guy, lets getem to the altar and dunked and go out and do it again...I pity a man who led so many people down the wrong path and who is probably in Hell.

  • hey your kinda funny Jack Hyles was a man who started his college and led Jack schaap through his years and look how there church is now he chose the dirty snot nosed bus kids cause he was about the will of God and love rather then the money that the rich people had wut have u done for CHRIST id becareful talkin to a man of God that way

  • All Christians can learn from the heart of Jack Hyles and from his mistakes...what not to do. None of us is perfect. I am sick and tired of hearing people idolize a man that was never brought to justice by his church...is he above Biblical laws. Absolutely no church discipline took place. A common thread among Hyles churches is that the pastor rarely places himself in a postion of submission to a Deacon or Elder board...dangerous...

  • Show me where the pastor is directed by God to be in submission to a deacon.......hum..

  • wanda its old news about david, but if you want to know more about the godfrey family, im game.

  • bubba Jones another HAC whoremonger caught by a security guard fornicating in his office. It was swept under the carpet just like the porn mag photos of Dave Hyle's 2nd wife. The Karate guy Stan Harris left First Baptist over the McSpadden affair. Stan Harris of course was said to have left for other reasons.

  • who was the security guard?

  • drlectr! everyone your jealous of had an affair! you are one sick mo fo with a bad sexual problem

  • google King James Version Francis Bacon

  • "The first edition of the King James Bible, which was edited by Francis Bacon and prepared under Masonic supervision, bears more Mason's marks than the Cathedral of Strasburg."-Manly P. Hall, from a lecture Rosicrucian and Masonic Origins 1929

  • What about Pensacola? (Just curious)

  • His comment on Pensacola was a falacious lie, and he knew it. He said a whole lot more at Pastor School (it was also a lie).

  • I live in Pensacola, I go to the Peter Ruckman "cult school". The one, like Hyles, that actually beleives the Bible. It was no lie. I have worked with and run into 100's of students, they don't believe the KJV to be perfect, they are "almost there", but are afraid of being called "ruckmanites" so they won't come all the way(watch del Johnson's video, this is the truth

  • Dude, I'm a graduate. There are some differences between PCC and Ruckman, I'll be the first to admit. I agree with PCC on the issue, but we DO believe in the authority of the KJV. Hyles' official position is not Ruckman's, either, but the concern I have with the Hyles crowd is misidentification, not doctrinal. He confused the issue.

  • I saw him in a Conference in Lakeland, Florida about 20 years ago. He took a NIV and tore it up in pieces and I cheered right along with everyone else there!! I am a KJV Bible preacher and I ain't ashamed of that. I don't go so far as Bro. Ruckman, but I have studied Greek and Hebrew in seminary (BTW, Florida Baptist College is KJV only as well) and I am convinced that it is the best!! "If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it!"

  • true, I repeat, watch Dell Johnson's video that PCC came out with on the KJV issue. They were rebuked by BJU and then they made a whole video SPECIFICALLY pointing out that they do NOT go as far as Ruckman, Grady, or Gipp. They DO NOT believe the KJV as true KJV believers do....that it is, every word, the word of God. That is does not needed changed, updated, or corrected, in any place.

If you believe as I do, than praise the Lord, but you didn't get it from them.(or they changed their minds)

  • pensacola sucks, your better off staying in bed for the rest of your life!!!!!!

  • I'm one of those little "darlings" that was sent down to Pensacola Christian College. It is amazing that I stand here today still believing in the KJV. I cannot believe he actually tore up a Bible, but then again, I guess he didn't even consider it a Bible because it wasn't KJV. That's uncalled for and makes no point whatsover. I'd like to see that clip--I would definitely have something to say.

  • The fact that you would "have something to say" shows that you don't still belive the KJV. You might have went down there a "little darling" but you graduated a puffed up egotist who thinks the word of God is whatever PCC or himself wishes it to be

  • How does that not make a point. The point is, if it isn't the Bible then don't treat it as so. If it isn't the true word of God, then don't treat it as so!

  • when, where, and what event was this?

  • Too bad you didn't show the video of him tearing a Bible up and throwing it in the crowd because it wasn't the right version in his opinion (KJV). This is a cult and Hyles was the Cultist in Chief.

  • How shallow. How strange. As soon as someone has a strong opinion about a truth the WPCDoc doesn't agree with, that movement is a cult.

By the way, WPBDoc, my one-year-old recently tore her Children's Bible. (It simply contains Bible stories, truths, and picture, but it calls itself a type of Bible--just like the NIV.) Is my daughter therefore a Cultist in Chief? =)

  • No, but it sure looks like her daddy drank the kool-aid!

Jack Hyles was an egomaniac and in his latter years, taught false doctrine. Sadly, his sycophants are scarier than he was (and further from the truth in many cases.)

If you don't believe me, go listen to his son-in-law (or read his book) describe the Lord's Supper as a sex act.

Cult. Nothing less than that. A Cult.

  • WPBCDoc one month ago presented a man's faith in a perfect Bible as evidence that that man belonged to and lead a cult. When challenged with the silliness of his conculsion, he has now tried to prove his first premise with completely unrelated evidence.

  • wpbdoc I PRAY FOR YOUR DOWNFALL, SO YOU NEED TO GET SAVED!

  • Truly, you guys are TOO EASY! All it takes is a poke or a challenge and you go berzerk. You question one's salvation, you make over-the-top absurd comments and next I'll be told I'm a) a homosexual and then b) physically threatened. I've seen and personally experienced the venom and the progressions before. I knew Hyles and his ilk for years. Hyles was a fallen man. He had major sin in his life and his family. His position on the KJV changed until it became full-fledged heresy. Get over it.

  • get over it? bro hyles has been dead for some time, and jerkoffs like you must have nothing to do in life.tell me! who is you spiritual hero? i bet it is bill or george godfrey they are jerks and they can go to HELL!!!! I KNOW GEORGE PERSONALLY, he had a bad breath problem!!! but if you dont know them your better off, and this is a waist, HYLES WAS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME MAN, AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYONE IN OUR LIFETIME AS CLOSE TO GOD AS HIM. DR.HYLES MY HERO!!!!!!!

  • Let's see..."Jerkoff"...."they can go to HELL"....this is a waist (sic)....Hyles was a once in a lifetime man (aren't we all?)...DR.HYLES MY HERO...

LOLROTF. You could not prove my case better! What a fine testimony for the Lord you are? What a fine example you are of a Hyles-based education.

CULT. Irrefutable. You make the case far better than I.

  • maybe i should share some info about the godfreys that would ruin them forever!!! im warning you one more comment about dr hyles i will put their hidden secrets in every major news paper, you dont know what i do for a living or who i work for. LAST WARNING!!!!

  • Ooooooo, a threat! I can't wait.

    Here's your comment.... Jack Hyles
