  • Congratulations. Well done. May I make an observation? Be careful not to sing this with a voice more apropriate to Broadway. That can be a dreary tendancy amongt the young. Widen your listening library, listen to singers of Baroque, particularly Europeans. May I suggest, Andreas Scholl?

  • My voice teacher has just started me on this solo. I am listening to your performance to help with my interpretation. Thanks for a beautiful job.

  • Interesting tone! Very nice job. Try not punching each 8th note though. =]

  • I sang this exact arrangement at a performance in April - I love this arrangement. (I still find myself singing it when I'm not thinking)

  • I'm doing this piece too for upcoming juries at my university. It's such a likable song, it's just so characteristically baroque.

To the artist in the video, it's very well done. I would say you could phrase more on the melismas on the word fly to give it a sense of direction, grow and back away. Also, consider on the B or C sections adding a couple ornaments, maybe a few passing tones or turns. And I suggest accenting the word "more" the first time, and then accent both "no more" after that.

  • You have a lovely voice, and plenty of natural talent. watch how you articulate your vowels, though...[u] should be pure in 'to' and remember that it is okay, actually, correct, to be aggressive about all of your consonants as long as they are crisp and clean and do not detract from the purity of the vowel they pre or proceed. Overall very good and I love the emotion you portray with the piece.

  • Few things

1st off it sounds very nice! You have a beautiful voice!!!

    ok....now to other stuff

I can not hear final constants. Those need to be more present...example....fate...sounds like fae...seek...sounds like see....

Do a little more dynamics...play around with it. Remember if the line is going down...get softer...if it is going up...get a little louder. This really applies to the runs that you have.

Over all it is very good!!!!!

  • Tim you're awesome. I do kinda miss your tenor voice after watching this. It's so beautiful!

  • is this the Tenor #1 arrangement? I forget which key I am talking about, but it has two flats, B and E.

  • It's actually in the Key of G. Two flats is the key of B flat major! If you like this key you can go to a music store and buy "The first book of Tenor solos" It is on page 52. Thanks for watching!

  • Wow, I really enjoyed this
