Wow! This was great, my mom is driving from CA to AR with my older sister and her young son. I called to see how the trip was going, and heard this song in the back ground, I reconized it instantly. Thanks for sharing this. I'm subscribing.
I hate explaining my jokes because they become less funny (if they were funny at all).
Rasta is the short term for Rastafarianism a religion and philosophy originating in Jamaica whose popularity swelled with the advent of reggae music. Need I mention that reggae is closely associated with pot.
Acid is a hallucinogenic drug.
Pasta and spaghetti need no explanation.
The psychedelic imagery of this childrens song does.
Please observe the no sneezing sign as we start our descent.
on top of spaghetti, all covered in cheese... i lost my poor meatball, when somebody sneezed. it rolled onto the TAble and onto the floor... and then my poor meatball, rolled out the door. :'( i miis my meatball.
(could partly be my baggage--my big sister used to make me cry with the Tar Heel version of this song--but your special effects are going to haunt me tonight!)
For decades,I've shunned and absolutely loathed this folk song spoof as being disrespectful and mean-spitirted to the idiom and process that I hold very dear and take very seriously.
However, after viewing your performance here,I can now honestly state (again, for the record)...
Lewdite has taught me to love this song.
Can you relate to this feeling Lew,or am I alone on this one?
P.S. This does not mean that "On Top of Spaghetti" is in any stretch comparable to "Puff the Magic Dragon." I consider the Spaghetti song by Glazer to be a spoof (an irreverent poke as I call it), not unlike Alan Sherman's folk parodies. I recorded and imaged the Spaghetti song in the humorous way in which I perceive it. Puff, by comparison, is a serious song. It just happened to be a serious song that I did not take a liking to... that is until you and Ukulele Katie got me to look at it again..
loooool i cant remember the last time ive heard that song! hahaha!!!

Hello
Lew...
Let it be known for the record...
For decades,I've shunned and absolutely loathed this folk song spoof as being disrespectful and mean-spitirted to the idiom and process that I hold very dear and take very seriously.
