  • Forgot to add, it sounds amazing Yo' dang... Sweet cat bro, you from the OC, we should meet so you can look at my car, I'm in Anaheim, close to Tustin..

  • No comment, wish I knew all you need for this swap.. I have one of the cleanest Fiero GT in the OC too, v6 2.8 5spd

  • Any new updates on this? Pretty cool build but was wondering one thing. Feiro's were notorious for cooling problems with the rear engine mount. Did you make any mods to cool the V8?

  • @preston121068 I dont think it was so much cooling that was bad, but the major areas of heat containing flammable things, like the firewall lining is more or less paper, that was the big problem. I have done nothing to the cooling system, and it run no hotter than 195 with the thermostat i have in now, i have although taken out all dampening material, so there is nothing to catch on fire. And see my dyno video for the update! Thanks!

  • What did you do to the motor internally? Your description says ported heads, I'm guessing you gasket matched the intake and exhaust ports/manifolds, anything else?

  • @mattwa97 Just the gasket match and the cam shaft, thats it.

  • Might I ask why didn't you use the allante intake? Better plans for later or something?

  • @ybafool2 Where i live they are extremely rare and when you find one it is 200 min. and usually in bad shape. I do plan on doing the intake swap this summer though, and roller rockers.

  • @TrailRider9664 The 4.9 swap is one of the easiest, id say it took me 7 months (fulltime student and full time job) and about 4 or 5k invested, but ive done more than just the swap. the only thing you need to do the swap is knowledge of every part of a car, custom motor mounts and a very confusing new wiring harness, those are the major things. While i was at it i did the 88 rear cradle swap too to help with handling and i put race suspension on all corners. Great car, i recommend this swap.

  • Cool!

    When you reved it

    Looking at the rear tires

I thought how bad ass would it be

If you did a burnout right there

  • Comment removed

  • when will it hit a dyno?

  • @SlowSBCFiero Well as soon as i get all the bugs worked out and it starts getting warmer, so 2, 3 months maybe. And ill be sure to ad videos of that

  • Dude I saw a flame.
