  • What music did you use for this? It sounds like "Gothic Power" from immediate music, but a bit different.

  • great movies. i love all of those films

  • This is wonderful! I've shared it on my Facebook page!

  • brilliant edit, love the music choice also.

  • This Is When Movies Were Good!!!!!!

  • Absolutely delightful montage/tribute. The timing and editing, everything. Obviously a labor of love by someone who cherishes these macabre gems. Thank you.

  • This is sooooo awesome!!!

  • 1 person got horrorifiyed

  • even tho all theese werent rated R they were the 1st fucking monsters of actors to walk the earth come on people i mean make your own monster just fucking think no matter how long it takes if people dont like it atleast you made your own and didnt steal shit from people

  • Universals classic horror movies are a big part of my life, so I must say, this tribute is one of the best I've seen! Incredible work, my friend! Bravo!

  • great job! man, the video and the music are well edited, if you make another video i hope you could include : the son of frankenstein, the hand, dr jekill and mr hide, london after midnight, the hunchback of notre dame, dorian grey and nosferatu.

  • Dude, great job putting this together - mucho impressed. You ought to go to TCM with this kick-ass creation - blow the ties right off their blue shirts.

  • Me like! ARRRRRGGH!!!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Long live Universal Horror.

  • In my opinion, they stopped making horror films in 1965. The so called 'horror films' that they make today are crap.

  • Gave me the freakin' chills!

  • Oh god that was epic.

  • The perspm who disliked this video has no taste in Horror Movies or movies period. They are probably a fan of twilight.

  • Can't beat the classics. Epic win for making this.

  • What's the music? I like it, it's so dramatic.

  • Brilliant!!!

  • When remakes like the recent WOLFMAN are done, it only reinforces the power of the originals. I have two nieces and when they were 5 and 8 , I showed them the original KING KONG and they loved it. Adults have to introduce these films to the younger generation. They won't watch them on their own. And a great compilation JFakeWeston!!

  • Wonderful tribute, amazing editing job. I'd like to see some non-Universal horrors like Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mystery of the Wax Museum and Island of Lost Souls get the same treatment!

  • Nice editing. Yes - I vote for "Werewolf of London" to be included. It's a great classic horror film and I actually prefer it to "The Wolf Man".

  • This was the beginning of horror films. Universal's greatest masterpieces.

  • F***ing Loved It!!!! that was great!!!

  • Great Tribute!!

  • Very well done!

I love these films. When I say I love horror films, this is what I'm talking about. Not what passes for "horror" nowadays.

  • Id love to get a well made box set of these classics. Maybe on Blu ray sometime. Just to have them in pristine condition and together as one.

  • Cant beat the classic horror movies from yesteryear. Many thanks for this great vid and excellent music.

  • Very good!

  • LOVE IT!!! 5 stars

  • Well done, I love the classics.

    "I bid you welcome"

  • Very good, the Universal Monsters are awesome.

  • Exceedinely well done sir. The music, the clips, everything.

  • The starkness and lack of music adds to the original 1931 Frankenstein. It's a shame that the kids of today are oblivious to these classics and refuse to watch black and white movies.

  • Well said, sir.

  • @novice8814 its true and if you even try to show them the old films they complain that oh its a man in a suit oh thats a puppet or they complain that its in black and white. not only that but some of the kids say oh its fake no shit its a movie. at my school i got a creature from the black lagoon book and godzilla book and the kids all day are saying oh tats fake and i get pissed and say no shit yah dumb ass its a movie that i like and or the kids go really i say its what i like so go to hell.

  • NOSFERATU is AWESOME!!!!

  • That was freakin' awesome. Glad to see more people appreciating THE CLASSICS!

  • @CallumJStewart its a joyous wonder if only drive ins were around and they showed the films on the big screen one more time that would make me really happy.(: its also hard to find kids that like these old films my one friend has never seen any of these and when i tell him to see them he says no there old and i said i'd rather watch the old films than the new my other friends don't know about these film either if only the parents would show them. at least we can buy them on dvd and vhs.

  • 10/5 stars for EDITING, music, acting, monsters, and everything else. I love the beginning clip. "It might even horrify you." What's it from, please?

  • It's from the opening to Frankenstein (1931). Glad you liked it!

  • Correction -- I LOVED it!

  • @JFakeWeston do you have the frankenstein legacy collection. i only have the frankenstein legacy collection and the wolfman legacy collection.

  • O.K., why was I not aware that there were so many great tributes in existence??? This is G R E A T. Horrificly great......

Gah! I've got to go watch it again. "

  • I. LOVE. IT. The best editing I've seen in a video in a long time! Great job.

  • How did you get The Phantom of the Opera in black and white, it was in technicolor ?

  • I put a black and white filter on the footage so it would match the look of the other movies. With the fast editing it would have stuck out like a sore thumb in colour.

  • @UniversalMonsterFan -Brilliant!

  • By the way, would you please tell me what the music is?

  • Gothic Monsters by X-Ray Dog.

  • They just don't make them like they used to. Sigh. Thanks for making this truly awesome tribute. You've done the monsters proud. Invisible Man is the Best!!

  • its not ur fault or anything but there is a movie called "Werewolf of London". it seems it is always ignored. by the way nice tribute.

  • I am a fan of Werewolf of London but this was done in part as a tribute to a VHS ad from the reissue of these specific films in the late 90s.

  • oh, i didn't know

  • This is one of the greatest Universal horror tributes ever! The music and intercutting of scenes almost made it seem like a upcoming movie trailer.

  • that was awesome, those are some of my all time favorite horror movies, fantastic video.

    ....5*****

  • Wow ... for movies from the 1930's, people still remember them.

I only searched these 'cause of last week's episode of "Supernatural" making a tribute to them.

  • very nice job, It would have been nice if you had used Swan Lake though.

  • A time of great films that ended before it should have died. I believe it lasted for 30 or 50 years. I wish Universal still made them.

  • Loved the constant quick editing and the lightning effect. Great job!

  • Excellent tribute! Mind if I post that to my blog to kick off October? ^_^

  • Go right ahead.

  • IMPRESSIVE- what is the music that is used.

    -kevin SCARLET THE FILM MAGAZINE

  • "Gothic Monsters" by X-Ray Dog

  • Very nice. Well-crafted and it moves!

  • Amazing job! The Invisible Man moment gets me every time!
