It rains and hails here. It's cold in the winter and windy in the afternoons. I certainly wouldn't bike or walk to work. Who would?
SMART won't lure new workers to the area. There won't be anywhere for them to work. Thanks to over-regulation and Sonoma County's high cost of living, businesses are closing. People who voted for SMART are feeling voter's remorse.
All these INTENTIONS may be good, but the reality of it all is more regulations on the individual to make choices...they are forcing choices upon each of us. I'm not going to get into the path this train is really on, but I will touch on this:
They are talking about reduction of HWY 101 traffic conditions...take a look at BART and the HWY's along side of it. East Bay, SF and San Jose's traffic conditions are beyond congested...everyone still sitting in parking lots! Don't be fooled.
