Jesus is sinless, kind, tought peace and forgiveness, said He is the Son of God, proves it by His miracles and the miracles of His saints even today.

agreed that christians aren't anywhere near the taliban. all we're doing is saying that we don't believe, and that people who do are wrong. for the last 2k years atheists have been prosecuted for voicing their opinions. i see no difference in this and how the general public finds a belief in zeus or thor or elvis still being alive laughable and downright lunacy.

I agree they are the same but I simply don't feel the need to insult someones beliefs in such a way. The difference is that the followers of those belief systems are long dead.
I agree Christians can be very pushy and down right insulting at times. I pride myself on being better than that. To put it crudely if an ape shits in his hand and throws it at me I don't feel the need to do the same in response.

I'm not athiest but I understand what they are saying, I think it's not just the matter of saying "it's not real" because they don't know, just like u, I guess it's more of the matter of not agreeing the morals/logic that r taught in religion, and I agree. instead of hating on them try understanding, I think they made good points...

Christian morality does, after all, condone (if not fully endorse) slavery. I feel rather opposed to the thought of treating another human being (who you would claim to have an eternal soul) like a lawn mower. Maybe we should all be opposed to changing our lifestyles to fit such a moral code.

Stay in school, Coop, you've got a lot to learn about history. "Christian morality" has never "condoned" slavery. In fact, slavery, in the United States came to an end due in no small part to Christian abolitionists who brought the horrors of slavery to the attention of the public. African American Harriet Tubman (a Christian) was also known as the "Black Moses" for leading hundreds of blacks out slavery by way of the Underground Railroad. Lincoln was also a Christian.

But killian. The wankers who sailed slaves over to America, did it mainly because they believed they had GODS blessing to do so. They were told that God allowed didn't mind if you took a bunch of happy people living there lives in peace, over to america on a dirty desease infested ship, with little room to move.

Although many of the original slave traders were Christians, it would be erroneous to say that their Christianity caused them to trade slaves. Greed is the morel likely culprit here, a sin that the Church has always condemned. Christians, afterall, are human, and subject to human temptation to do evil. The Catholic Church and Christianity in general, has NEVER endorsed, and has always spoken out against the evil of human bondage.

Slavery is still practiced in Africa, by BLACKS. It has been a practice for hundreds of years in Africa. In fact, it was Black slave traders who first sold black slaves to white slave traders in Africa.
600,000 white men (the majority of them Christians) died in the Civil War. A war that ended slavery in North America. Yet Black on Black slavery in Africa continues to this very day. None of the Black slave traders are Christians, but Muslims.
