I think it is a mistake to show it from above. It gives a better image of what to do if you see it in normal view. Then you can see how the flames go from the one side to the other and back much better, and how you should move to his platform when tanks have him down below.

The big matter on this boss, is that people cant focus.

People sometimes runs too late, and gets lots of damage. Or else u dont have any cleansers or anyone who does cleanse, also means wipe...

Almost all of our raid died in 10 man and his 60% and we 3 manned him easily tank healer and dps took us 15 min but k :P

If its like your guilds very first attempt on this boss then it would be a wise idea but this guy is easily 1 shottable. The pattern is easy to learn and it shouldnt take a new guild more then 2 attempts to kill this guy.

Well, if your ranged or a healer and dont have alot of health and you fall behind or is a little slow at doing the dance then you usually get 1 shotted because it hits you multiple times. I remember when I was tanking this and I was kinda slow and the waves hit me and took me down to about 25% hp.

This is actually my favorite fight in wow done all of BC and some of classic, but this is by far the most entertaining, never got to do it pre-bc but so much fun, I lol every time where do it cos our GM always dies to the slime, good way to weed out ppl who shouldnt be raiding.

Interesting thing happened... 6 members of the 10 man raid died first dance.... we ended up 4 manning him to 42% then the Off tank died... Long story short we ended up killing him after 18 minutes :D

Unless they changed something from beta when we did this we tanked him in stage one on the platform avoiding the first dance. Thing is as soon as he switch from phase one to phase two you had to move to the floor or you die.

because they are mostly in cloth, which does not give that much of armor, and if you see that a boss can hit above the 4k, it probably going to be 2-3 shotted.
