Well, it was a UU church, and UUs don't believe in Satan. I go to church there, and he wasn't a member.

This guy is trying to create a good enough resume to get in as one of Satan's sidekicks. But we know you have to kill a whole lot more then a few people in Church. This guy has a small mind. You have to think on a much more bigger scale like Hitler or globally like The US Government. Try harder, white man, try harder.

Dr. Tiller was killed while attending church as well.

They have the same killing in the middle east, I believe it's due primarily to religion.

The guy was NOT a member of our church. His wife (ex?) went there years ago but not currently. He targeted us because he felt we were to blame for our country's current economic & political problems and his lack of employment. He may be nuts--what sane person would do this?--but legally he should be considered sane. He showed he knew right from wrong--hid the shotgun in a guitar case--and premeditated the crime. I hope he becomes somebody's boyfriend in jail REAL soon.

he was a religious fundamentalist who hated liberals. the church was very liberal

From what I understand, the suspect was driven by hatred of liberals, not to mention hatred of gays and lesbians, and this church was more liberal and tolerant of gays and lesbians, hence the motivation for the shooting.

From what I have read and seen the shooters wife was a former member and he hated what the open-minded beliefs of the church itself stood for.
