I've tried several techniques to keep the narration moving briskly, since my early vids were slow & rambling. I tried writing in advance, but I usually carry note cards (names & outline points), and these days often put the clips I'll use on my iPod so I can review it before speaking.
I do multiple recordings of each "segment" & sort out the "best" back home. (Sometime I throw parts out on the spot, either when I mess up or a noisy plane flies over.)
I appreciate the concern. Despite Crunchyroll's checkered origins, last year (2009!) the site seems to carry only licensed videos. Rispara was an authorized "web simulcast", at least according to ANN, Japanator, and other anime websites.
One could say Crunchy used the unlicensed vids as a lever (or blackmail) to get some Japanese companies to license them shows ("If you give me legit content, I won't need user uploads!"). When Gonzo licensed Druaga & Blassreiter for streaming, I watched on BOSTTV instead of Crunchy, for the same concern I think Eponuts expressed.
But today, Crunchy seems legit, and along with Funi, the only (legit) game in town, and (I think/hope) it benefits the studios (a bit.)
I've seen it a few years ago, have the DVDs, and it's on my list of things to get to (I'd want to re-watch it before daring to discuss it, and it's a long series, so don't expect it "soon".)
Hmm....I like character-driven shows, I like idealism, I like mature anime characters (and old dudes talking about potpurri)...yet, I can't motivate myself to watch Ristopari....maybe once I've gotten acclimated to shows like Aria, I'll give it a whirl.
He never puts the name in the description. Kind of his style. Name shows up on bottom left corner of video. "Risorante Paradiso" . It is streaming on crunchyroll
Also, any time you have trouble understanding something I try to say in my vids, you can click the link in the description to the transcript and read what I meant to say :).
Hmm this is one of the few animes you've talked about that I haven't seen or at the very least heard of. I tend to like these animes however stock and generic they may be.
I saw the show on Crunchy and wondered if it was worth stopping in for dessert. The thumbnails looked rather juvenile, though. But, since you suggested it, I'll check it out.
it's nice to see you reviewing a more recent anime gjisan. do you write out a script or do several takes or these reviews? you're very eloquent

And without those checkered origins they would be no where near as popular I would guess.

Thanks for the shoutout for Teh 'Roll, old man.
Real gangsta.
]:D-
Even though I like the soothing tones and movements of old people, I have to finish Serial Experiments Lain and Book of Bantorra first.
Reminds me of a completely innocent Gunslinger Girl atmosphere.[got to finish that too]
Hit those up when you get a chance, Gramps McGee.
