  • Using the formable mesh is a great insight. It would be very easy to form one of those "twisted" vane vertical turbines as well.

  • @4sineweaver2 Hi! If you watched the video entitled "Flattened tomato cage turbine blades" you will see that I use a couple of fiberglass rods to reinforce the structure. The rods add flexibility and strength. I must note that the weakest point is where the blades make contact with the axle. The center hub needs to be made of steel. I can now conclude that a center hub that accepts multiple snap-on wire mesh blades supported by two rods each will work fine. Dipping in molten plastic helps also.
