Its actually quite easy to build, it only took me about 5 or 6 hours to make. It was just hard solder the wires to the keyboard chip, there was only a 2mm gap (if that) betweeen each contact.
Man, you are doing exact the same thing like me! Thats on time I did find anyone more that was mading this, lol! Dude, I have one question. First of I need to explain: When im doing same as you, but the problem is I got two USB keyboard plugged in my computer, and it wont care if I press F on anyone of them, for both will give you the letter F. But do you know some way that I can turn that letter to maby USB_k_1 for exemple? Or how I can juse use on of the F, and keep the F on the second. Cheers
@TheRandomUnknown1 Im working on my RJ100 cockpit, and want the parts to be cheap, thats why I want to use this hardware way. Im going to use two computers for my cockpit, and wonder; If I can connect one of these hardware into one computer, set up the settings, and then connect one more, but to the second computer, and then set it up different. Then it wont be a collision between the keyboards?
@SSKtobbe It should work if the computers are running sepratly rom each other, just using a network to communicate however im not sure if it would work in flight simulator.
@TheRandomUnknown1 how and where do you solder it i kinda want to know before taking my keyboard apart or buying a circuit board. Plus can you make a vid of you actually doing it?
well it's hard to follow when i find the #1 idon't know where to solder the aother one the negative well it has 2 wires connecting the positive and the negative wire from the toggle switch where i should solder those two IT'S REALLY HARD TO FIND THOSE LETTERS
hey smartguy you should teach me how to make that keyboard i tried to build one but i failed i just want to know which contcts of those strips are assigned in and where i sould solder my toggle switchs in
@haroldvideos well first of all did you keep the plastic sheets that came inside the keyboard? If you did, you should have 3 plastic sheets. One is compleatly clear and is not needed. The other 2 should have a circuit diagram drawn on them. once you find the key you want on the sheet of plastic follow the lines that come off of it untill you get to the end. Once getting to the end it should line up with a contact on the keyboard chip, ciruit thing. Then repeat with the other sheet of plastic.
Hey, nice video. Im also making a cockpit simulator and need to learn how to hack a keyboard to make all of my switches work in FSX. Would it be to much to ask if you made a video with step by step instructions on how to do this? or maybe post another video explaining it. I cant seem to find one. Thanks and again nice video! I had my sub woofer hooked up when i played this video and i swear my next door neighbors mustave thought there was an earthquake or sommething!! lol XD
Thats so awesome :D I wish im a techwiz to built one like that :S

I get the same problem using two USB devices, both recognising X and Y axis the same on each.
Did you find a solution?
