wow, memories! I used to love watching the local forecast on TWC when I was a kid and I miss the old graphics. I started watching it around early 1995 when I was like, 6. I love the jazz music. Sometimes whenever I hear smooth jazz I think of the weather channel, lol.
11 yrs ago.. damn. where does all this time go. i remember watching this back when i was like 8 yrs old. this kind of music is definitely way better then the crap they play on todays intellistar.
This feels like it was ages ago, because it was; 1998 was the year I started watching TWC; too bad I've had only a fleeting interest the past couple years because the channel is deteriorating.
yes the older music was better on the weather channel you are right about that.i loved the intro the best this one with the girl walking the dog in the sunny neighborhood.music and all.wish they;d bring the nice intros back.
me too, I first watched TWC in 1998 and man those were gr8 times. I remember back then I actually had a detailed, educational and scientific explanation about the phenomenon of weather going on in the country. Greg Forbes and the longtime OCMs did the job for us.
yes you are right.i like hearing the jazz songs on the weather channel more so then the stuff they play now,but a few songs are good.art of noise moments in love is an amazing song.i always loved and and was shocked when the weather channel played it.i love the interduction of the local on 8's best here with the dog walker in the sunny neighborhood so nice.
i love moments in love, and i was shocked hearing cliffs of dover too. but the jazzy music from the 90's is way better than the pop/rock/newage crap they play now on TWC. it was the 90s that helped me find Brian Hughes, 3rd Force, Physical Therapy and Trammell.
wow yeah i hate that new age rock and pop junk too.i for sure love brian hughes!once in a blue moon ill hear a song by him or tremmell and its a real treat.yes thanks to the weather channel i have found out brian hughes and some peter white songs too.3rd force is also good.never heard of physical therapy.ill have to check it out.a few years ago when i started posting weather channel local on 8's i was shocked to see how many other fans like me recorded this stuff too.i even have vhs of twc
can u plz post any old videos u have TWC? Physical therapy i recognize da songs from 1995-1996 during the same era Trammell debuted. i also discovered peter white thanks to twc from 2000
well see i have them on my old vcr vhs tapes from maybe that time.but some from 1998 2000 so ill have to look for the tapes play them on tv then hold my camera up to the tv screen and record them.that is what i do for the weather channel now when i record the music and stuff too.i also have two other acccounts with weather channel songs hamstertabbygirl and hamstertabbygirll.check them both out the have been active for 3 years.might find some nice stuff.however i only upload stuff on this name
I really miss the old-style WC and love the music, I actually burned 89 of the songs onto a CD (a few were repeats). So, you dont have to worry about feeling like a loser
i remember a song where there was a flute solo and it was also played in the 2 minute local on the 8's and i believe it was also from 98. do you know by any chance the song im talking about?
I miss this so much I almost want to cry. Oh, TWC of old. Come back to me.

@bjroberts65 I wouldn't say that. It's still pretty good, but they're focusing too much on severe weather these days.

@bjroberts65 totally agree too many reality things on the weather channel this is where ive found the bulk of my music collection!!
