  • And what about this one: "Atheism is a clown and it didn't know it. And then I got the clown and I walked it over...I forced it to look itself in the mirror. And it sees itself in all its red hair, big nose, big shoes, polka dot glory."? - Christian YouTube video producer shockofgod :)

  • @mothurman Yeah, I know. I hate labels but, you are correct.

  • I believe in God, higher power, designer or whatever you want to name it...I practice no religion and haven't in years. I wish people would remember that not everyone who believes in God is a religious robot. It's possible to believe and leave religion out of the equation entirely...I do.

  • @Frab2001 It's called being a deist.

  • i wish the people who made up and wrote the bible/other religious texts could see what they've done to the world, by the time we through with religion they will have set back human progress by 10,000 years, every person that dies because of fighting could have been the next Eisenstein

  • " and have they told you how to think, clensed your mind of sepsis and autonomy and have you excaped scutany and regailed your self with depravity, now we all see religion just syentetic frippery, unessesary in our expanding global-coultural effesency" God Song from my favorite punk band Bad Religion

  • Computers are like the toilet.Sometimes you have to use them. But then again the mouth of the atheist are similar to the toilet too.

  • I'm glad atheists have found a place to gather and voice their views. Everyone benefits, even the believing Christian: I share the videos I see here on YouTube with the youth of my church and you would be surprised: they would come back the next week with a friend from school who saw some videos (this person is one of the few atheists on YouTube that seem to be at peace) and what they see here is every reason to not become one. Or if they do they won't be here bashing believers.

  • reach out for God my dear child- it is your only chance

  • @Helptheherd That's not a very good atheist quote at all. :)

  • @snowfeet yes my dear this would be correct ;) ...i guess it seems you are capable of being right about one thing at least, so far :)

  • @snowfeet agreed. lol

  • @Helptheherd I reached out with all my hear when I so wanted to believe...all I felt was empty space. I realized I was no longer a slave to a myth.... I was free. I've never looked back

  • @Helptheherd Fuck you.

  • @sharpshooter740 i dont think i did anything wrong- take a chill pill bro

  • @Helptheherd no one wants to reach out to your imaginary friend. it offers us no good and is a waste of time.

  • @whitechapel0095 your only chance

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd my only chance for what? im happy and living my life, thats pretty fulfilling for me. what do you think that im going to be tortured and burned in hell forever because i have a different opinion then you?...yeah that really makes me want to follow your idiotic fairy tale religion. (not really)

  • @whitechapel0095 well hell could be nothing for you- yet nothing would be hell for a believer being that we want to be with God- so if hell is nothing for you then why are you talking to me? atheism is the path to suicide

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd im guessing the only reason you believe is because you are afraid if you dont that you wont go to hell is that right?...and please explain to me how atheism is the path to suicide? that makes no sense at all, just because i refuse to believe in fairy tales means that im going to commit suicide? thats just completely idiotic of you to say.

  • @whitechapel0095 God is real

  • @Helptheherd where is your proof? thats right you dont have any.

  • @whitechapel0095 life is proof of God

  • @Helptheherd no, we have more proof for science and evolution then you have for your god.

  • @whitechapel0095 life itself is proof of God- science comes later

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd your "god" is nothing more than a character in a mythology book. you dont believe in greek mythology do you? and why? thats right because it is not plausible that any of that is true. its the same with christianity

  • @whitechapel0095 what would you know about God my dear?

    God bless

  • @Helptheherd that its not plausible that he is real.

  • @whitechapel0095 nothing

  • Atheists are made up of beautiful women like 2Proud2Bme and sexy bald men like Matt Dillahunty.

  • I got randomly linked to this video while watching The Thinking atheist podcast.

    snowfeet sure is cute :3

  • One of my favorite Atheistic quotes comes from Cristofer7 when he says:

“When people try to disable all of your tools, try to disable all of your reasoning abilities, no matter if it’s for Allah or Jesus or Zenu, when people try to disable the mechanism of reasoning, to call into question your very sense of what is real and what is fake, beware. Because they’re trying to make room for bullshit.”

  • @Haywerth "when people try to disable the mechanism of reasoning, to call into question your very sense of what is real and what is fake, beware." LOL, and that's exactly what they try and do, sometimes, and I mean very rarely, a brief thought flashes through my mind, and I think "Am I the insane one? Is it possible these millions of people (Christians/muslims/jews, same thing to me) are right, and I can't see it."

  • @kendrawhisp That's a very normal feeling, especially if you grew up religious. I grew up Baptist, and occasionally --and I do mean OCCASSIONALLY--I will have that very same irrational thought. But I now see those brief flashes as being no different than when amputees experience the phantom limb sensation.

  • @Haywerth "But I now see those brief flashes as being no different than when amputees experience the phantom limb sensation." Great analogy!

  • @MrShazDude How? The only thing different about them is that they lack a belive in god that's no more fatty than the gay Christians, Jews ect. You ever heard of straight camp that's were your fags go.

  • Atheists are fags.

  • I clicked this video interested in seeing some of the great youtube atheist quotes, and not with the intent of listening to forgettable music that bands pump out like hotcakes.

Did you really have to tag on the 50-second intro? I can understand wanted an intro, but it's almost half as long as the whole damn show! It's no longer an intro, but another completely separate video sewn on to the actual video that people came here to see.

    Good quotes, by the way.

  • I subscribed I like the quotes

  • I love Modest Mouse, Johnny Marr rules

  • I like ZJemptv's one about how Catholics believe their god incarnates himself as cookies for the to eat.

  • time to find out the truth

  • My favorite atheist quote: "Atheists can have kinky sex without the fear of eternal hellfire. 'Come' to the dark side."

  • @bookwormsrcool The marriage bed is undefiled. The FATHER made kinky sex. He made it desirable, & feel good without condemnation, but only with one partner from the opposite sex. I can still follow the light!

  • @pure2heart I'm sorry, but I must have missed the part about kinky sex in the Bible. But I know it condemns homosexuals, adulterers, and people who masturbate. Does that count?

Unless you're referring to another "Father"?

  • @bookwormsrcool, I dont want to get into a sex topic, The 1st guideline is with ur partner the marriage bed is undefiled & u can love each other in bed the way u like without feeling that something is wrong or bad. That means there is nothing shameful. Now, peoples minds can think in disgusting ways about sex & a partner, thinking that is kinky.

  • @bookwormsrcool My thoughts arent there. When I was talking of condemnation, it is making a comment from someone writing of fear & eternal fire, & kinky sex. There is only JEHOVAH< YAHWEH.

  • How can GOD be real & we dont see HIM, like face to face? We see HIS creation, we feel HIS presence, HE sent HIS SON, HE lives within us. "Who we are" is trapped within this outer shell that limits us. We r made in HIS image. I see ur shell but not u. GOD talks to every person that has received HIS SON. Why doesnt HE show everyone HIS face, then u would come to HIM by fear & not love!

  • god is and always will be, a tyrannical dictator.

  • @Witchire well put

  • Slavery implies that you have a master so no atheism isn't slavery of the mind because atheists are aloud to think what they want. God punishes people for thought crime so christianity is slavery of the mind. Your implying that believing in something makes you a slave and that has nothing to do with the context. Thats bad logic

  • To believe in nothing is still believing in something.

  • @hellsing3000 to say not believing is a belief , is like saying Bald is a hair color its just plane STUPID

  • Religion is slavery for the mind. lol.

Isn't the philosophy of atheism also slavery of the mind. Oh wait we don't believe in a deity. Lol. So that makes us different. Right?

  • "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." (Former atheist CS Lewis)

All atheists should consider reading what Freud was reading before he before he ended his life with doctor assisted suicide.

  • Not that that's what you're doing. YOU're doing it right. I am not kidding. seriously. you're not being a jerk. I am.

  • Being enslaved to opposing religion like cantankerous old men yelling at children for running by too fast is the same as wearing faith in God as a medal like a war hero who came back with a self-inflicted injury. Being a jerk to fight jerks is still being a jerk.

  • Not True, I as a devout catholic, choose to believe in god, I made that decision myself, when I was 12. I don't believe in Blue Laws, or Religion having anything to do with government. I say, atheist will do as they do (provided no one is harmed) and Christians will do as they do (provided no one is harmed) live and let live.

  • Some people regard matter as independent and imagine that it has itself gained this freedom and elaborated the laws that rule over it.

But how can they believe that hydrogen and oxygen, electrons and protons, should first produce themselves, then be the source for all other beings, and finally decree the laws that regulate themselves and the rest of the material world?

Materialism looks at the world with one eye *closed* and, as a result, is unable to answer numerous questions!

  • I haven't said hydrogen and oxygen have produced themselves or other beings. I've heard some some stories about gods that do this, but I'm not promoting such stories as truth, either.

  • Matter or God?

    Take your choice!

Materialism imagines that lowly objects are the source for the emergence of higher objects without troubling to ascertain whether the higher, in fact, exists at the level of the lower. If lowly matter is unable even at the highest stage of its development, namely thought and reflection— ....

  • either to create itself or to violate any of the laws that rule over it, it follows ineluctably that it is unable to create other beings and the laws regulating them. How, then, can it be believed that lowly matter should engage in the creation and origination of higher beings or have the power to bestow existence on lofty phenomena?

  • "is he good in bed" was that suppose to be funny? God doesnt have a human body to have sex. atheist can wrap their brains around a pure love.wow is this how intelligent atheist are??? You just said everything I thought was god is in me and has always been in the universe. the bible tells of people calling themselves god in the end days.

  • "nietzsche is dead"

    by god

  • The fact that a single child suffers on earth is ample proof that there is no God...

  • Why do you say that?

What about all the children that are healed

  • why, it's not Gods fault there is suffering in the world?

  • That's makes it 1 outta 5 posts that got thru!

  • He still had his mother's Bible, and he began to read in the Sermon on the Mount and other passages in the Bible about what God intended a man to be like. Was he illiterate? He became the most literate President we have ever known. He became the humblest President we have ever had. Someone once asked me what I thought was his most outstanding quality. I said it was his ability to forgive anyone anything because he was himself so humble

  • What was his personality like? One day a young lady that he had attempted to date said, "Abe Lincoln, you are illiterate, self-opinionated, overbearing and abominably ill-mannered." (She liked to beat around the bush.) What did Lincoln do? What, gentleman, would you do in a situation like that? He determined to completely change himself, and he turned to the Scriptures. He still had his mother's Bible, and he began to read in the Sermon on the Mount and other passages

  • THE AGE OF CLAY The second mountain Lincoln climbed was described by Boreham as the Age of Clay, when he climbed Mount Carmel with Elijah, where he was clay in the hands of the Almighty Potter. What was Lincoln like? When he was a young man, he looked in a mirror one day and said to himself, "It's a fact, Abe! You are the ugliest man in the world. If ever I see a man uglier than you, I'm going to shoot him on the spot!" It would no doubt, he thought, be an act of mercy.

  • Scientists who study biology, psychology, and sociology and anthropology are more likely to disbelieve in God and immortality physicists and engineers see a creator in the lawfulness of the physical and engineering worlds. Thus, the question may be why biological and social scientists are more likely to disbelieve, rather than why physical scientists and engineers are less likely. Arguably, then, science leads to disbelief, at least among those already inclined to be independent thinkers

  • I don't know a single scientist who has science as his reason for being atheist. I am a geologist, and an Atheist out of the ethical dilemmas in religion, ones which i can't summarise in less then 10 pages of size 12 text; thus won't post it here...

The reasons scientists disbelieve is because they have been taught to question theories and to think critically; science leads to thinking for one's self and questioning things, if things don't add up, then look for an explanation which does.

  • Alex

    Great answer.

There are just some ppl who use religion like a drug. They become addicted and can't see outside of the box they've put themselves in.

My decision to become an atheist was not emotional but a logical one of not seeing any evidence for the Xian god, any god. This became very apparent to me after seeing prayer, especially intercessionary prayer for healing, didn't work, repeatedly, it cinched it for me.

    Cootabux

  • Alex

Those that don't believe become scientist

That's why so many scientist don't believe in God. Science actually make many a man believe.

  • i was religious before i started studying science, around 70% of my atheist collogues (who where not born atheist) are in the same boat, it's the critical thinking which does it.... not the actual science....

base your arguments on facts not personal opinions...

  • Alex I based my opinion on research as I always do. I have read the science does not make scientist atheist. That was my point . most atheists that go into science were atheist long before the did much study.

  • and what bible website did you do your research on? or did you just copy someone else's comment from a blog?

  • Alex,

I will have to find my research and forward it to you.

It's rather a long read but very interesting.

It was a long range detailed study by scientist. while not perfect the data is informative.

Likely I will get it for you tomorrow.

I don't believe blogs are dependable evidence just so you know.

peace and have a great day.

  • Not a bible web site just a google post

Why assume it was a bilbe web site

Scientist study many thing you know

What field are you in BTW

  • a google post? and you quoted that? well it is prob wrong, i only ever trust research done which is published in proper academic literature with a proper peer review process.

to be specific I am in Petroleum Geoscience, but i did a geology undergrad.

  • Are you claiming that Christians are less likely to become scientists? Is this because it contradicts their ideals or because they don't get scores high enough to enter? If you have other options I'd like to hear them.........

  • I have a science degree and still know all our knowledge is a blessing and all of it comes from God. It truly is a blessing and a curse. It helps us find medical cures and so on, however, it also will turn people away from God because man will feel like they are god(biblical) and technology is the cause of a lot bad things that happen, like cancers.sorry, its the truth.

  • well science didn't turn me away... i turned away before i studied science, a invisible sky daddy who judges people on whether they have an ability to make invisible friends rather then on the good they do in their life? that wasn't something i could believe in.... I do think if there is a god, he doesn't judge people on whether they believe but how they act in life. So congrats that you have a science degree, perhaps you should try some of that critical thinking they should have taught you!

  • OK????....I just dont agree with the mumbo jumbo you just spewed out.

You can have knowledge and faith. One or the other does NOT have create a dichotomy.

  • well i disagree with the idea of a god who judges people on whether they believe or not, are not your actions in your life the most important thing?

I said science didn't turn me away, it was morality issues in religion, is not the person who does something for no reward better then the one who does it for a reward? so why does the one who does something for no reward get punished to an eternity of torture? perhaps you should think outside the square (or outside the book as the case may be)

  • To be correct, you did say in your original comment, that you were "religious" before you started studying science.I use to be religous too, prior to studying science but with me I deemed with my knowledge, that religions are false. God is real and is amazing. He will reveal much more to us in the future. It's obviously OK that you feel differently.

  • If something makes no sense, then you argue a view point which does makes sense. And in fact most physicists etc who are more likely to believe, don't believe in a Christian god, more the type of god Einstein believed in. Which is far more complex and far more abstract then most religions.

Social scientists are more likely to disbelieve because it's well known how easy the mind is influenced, biologists because they understand evolutionarrly it was advantageous to believe during cavemen times.

  • Ecklund and Scheitles study showed that in regards to scientists Nevertheless, they found that the best predictor of their scientists religious practice is the scientists childhood religious practice and conclude, more or less in agreement with Thalheimer, that freethinkers or doubters to some extent self-select when they become scientists. Thus, science may not lead to disbelief; rather, disbelievers or skeptics are led to science

  • Paul Strode and I tried to show that science is not necessarily incompatible with religion, though it certainly falsifies the specific claims of some religions. Nevertheless, both atheists and creationists (some of them, anyway) want to think that science necessarily leads toward atheism or agnosticism. It is hard to say, but it seems more likely that skeptics or freethinkers, who may be already inclined toward disbelief in God, are more likely to become scientists or, perhaps, science teachers.

  • Atheists Take Note

Jairus was a powerful man in his community. A member of the religious council, president of the synagogue, he had influence over peoples live. Jesus had been barred by Jairus and his cohorts from preaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. This time however, the tables appeared to have been turned. Jairus daughter was deathly ill. If anyone else could help Im sure he would have bypassed Jesus and gone to that person instead. No such luck. Jesus was the only game in town.

  • Jairus fell to his knees and begged Jesus to come to his house to heal his daughter. The irony was rich. And Jesus response? Hed been rejected by this man. Hed been mocked and belittled by this man. Jesus had been cast out of the community by this man and here he was begging Jesus for help. And Jesus said,

    I will come with you.

Thats all it takes. All one has to do is ask. All one has to do is humble yourself and say, I was wrong. Please forgive me. Please save me.

  • Comment removed

  • Atheists call this grovelling. It sickens them. Atheists would rather drown than reach out for the only hand that can save them. Nevertheless, take note. Even if at one point in your life you have thrown Jesus out of your life, all you have to do is come back to Him and, regarding the rest of your life Jesus will say,

    I will come with you.

  • Coota,

Wait a min. your 50 are you not

you said you stopped believeing when God would not preform the way you wanted Him too. You prayed that God would stop a girl suffering by healing her. God choose to give her a new body in heaven . If you think about it God answered your prayers by giving her a new boby. But the girl died and you were sad. You seem to think it is worng og God to allow you to be hurt and sad. News flash life is sad and sometimess you are in pain. There is also hoppinest

  • Su #1

"Wait a min. your 50 are you not

you said you stopped believeing when God would not preform the way you wanted Him too. You prayed that God would stop a girl suffering by healing her. God choose to give her a new body in heaven"

I hope something sinks in this time.

I'm 63 (& I can still whip your lying ass).

I never said anything about god not performing. He never performed as U put it

I did not see god answering prayer in Vietnam, & 3 yrs after I got, when I was born again,

  • Su #2

I watched a little suffer & die from Born cancer. Almost a 100 ppl prayed 4 her healing, which JC promised he do.

God didn't give her a new body or anything. He certainly didn't answer the prayers of intercession we made on her behalf, & that's bcuz god doesn't answer prayers. He doesn't answer them bcuz he doesn't exist!

Besides the exper. with the little girl., I never saw prayer answered in Vietnam, not in the bush & not in the hospital. Plenty of amputees, none got healed, not 1!

  • Su

I copied this & some of it got lost.

Im sure U can make out what I was saying but others may not B able 2 as they havent heard this story B 4 & I really dont like telling it, so I'm keeping it short.

I was saying that I watched a 7 yr old little girl suffer terribly & eventually die from Bone Cancer. The whole Congregation prayed 4 her 4 over a month...4 nothing!

At least the Cancer was fast acting cuz your god sure the F--- wasn't!

I know U like to make excuses 4 him but you've run out!

  • Comment removed

  • You think God either says yes to prayer or he does not answer . you don't understand prayer at all. Look at James Chapter one and you will see we pray to get on God's plan not to make him do that which his has decided not to do. When you pray God answered with yes,no ,or wait.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus promised you what?

Are you saying Jesus actully spoke to you?

  • @sixkiller111 Ok what are you saying God should do to the amputees, have their arms or legs grow back? God answers prayers a different way then instant gratitude. In this day and age, we are blessed with many mechanical advances, including robotic arms, look it up they are in development. God ANSWERS prayers, you are just impatient and arrogant to realize this. Do your research and keep an open mind on what answering a prayer really means.

  • @sixkiller111 also if you really are proclaiming that God does not heal people, then you have not heard of Fatima, Lourdes, or Medjugorje. Many people have been cured of many things, including cancer, paralysis, and sensory disabilities (sight, hearing, speech.) And yes I have witnessed these actions. People who couldn't walk for 25 years miraculously walk for the first time. God ANSWERS prayers.

  • @FallenThursday

U don't determine if god answers prayer by anecdotal, personal testimonies! We do know of spontaneous remissions. We also have known of rare cases of people healing themselves, but if god were answering prayer, we'd see direct, & continual, even if only occasional evidence! We don't & we'd certainly see several amputees healed, somewhere, sometime! Never been 1!

5 studies done! All showed negative!

Maybe god doesn't want people to know he's real! Or maybe he doesn't exist!

  • @Cootabux

Maybe god doesn't want people to know he's real! Or maybe he doesn't exist!

You say you know what the bible say and yet your comments PROVE how much you don't know. Jesus did his works to provide evidence to those that wanted to know the truth about God. Read the bible and you will see God deals with men privately and does not proform on command. WHY? Because NOTHING can convince a evil man that God loves him and he makes a choice not to believe. Free will ole man

  • @sixkiller111 You are indeed right that many bad and horrible things do happen in this world, but that is because God gave us free will. We are not slaves to God. If we were then you would not be here posting these comments because we would be forced to worship God at all times. The great thing about having faith in a God is that we have the choice to or not because he truly loves us. The horrible things that go on in this world are to remind us of the choices we could make with free will.

  • #1

    @FallenThursday

"If we were then u would not be here posting these comments because we would be forced to worship God at all times."

That's right, if he didn't give us free will it wouldn't be as much fun 4 him to use fear to make them follow!

Tell me, why give us free will, if it isn't truly free? If he loved us, truly, it wouldn't be conditional love! True freedom & true love R totally unconditional. But if we use our free will...freely, we'll be damned! Doesn't make any sense does it?

  • @Cootabux

But if we use our free will...freely, we'll be damned! Doesn't make any sense does it?

    Man are you dumb.

You must not have any children that you love.

My daughter is free to do well in school or fail.I love her either way.

God loves us no matter what we do to desroy ourselfs.

I use my free will to love God and those who are vile and Hate God.

You want to deny God and Go to heaven!!

Why do you think you can be a heathen bastard and enter heaven?

    God lets you decide. LOL

  • #2

    Fallen Thursday

But here's another problem with free will, it creates a paradox! After all, god is supposed to be omniscient! Well if he is, then we are predestined...we have no free will. The two existing together is logically contradicting. (Law of non-contradiction).

So how would you explain that? I do believe we have free will, but I can't be sure bcuz we don't know if there's anything else that would interfere with it. I think we have it bcuz that's how we evolved. Is reality a Matrix?

  • @Cootabux

But here's another problem with free will, it creates a paradox! After all, god is supposed to be omniscient! Well if he is, then we are predestined

You are the dumbest man I ever have heard of.

God know what you will do because He lives outside of time.

Today you choose to be a vile heathen dog and deny God.

By your statement you seem to believe God wants you to deny him and you have no choice in the matter. Use logic and you won't be such a dumb ass..LOL

  • @sixkiller111 Look, I am not posting these comments to try and convert anyone to any certain faith. I myself am catholic, and I know many horrible things have happened in my church's history. But I choose to be catholic based on the principles of my church, not because of what it has developed into. I just hope that you research next time on all aspects instead of posting ignorance comments with out knowing what you are talking about. It is sad though that you can't try to have some faith that

  • FallenThursday

I'll tell you what, if you think I "ever" post ignorant comments & don't know what I'm talking about, I'll be most happy to debate you on a number of scriptural issues!

I made an open challenge to all Xians 2 yrs ago on the prayer issue. You want to take the challenge, you'll be the 1st? We'll go to a children's cancer ward. U do the praying, I'll document it & post it exactly as it happens. And i'll tell U something, nothing would make me happier than to see prayer heal a child.

  • @sixkiller111 there is some greater being that has created all the beautiful things in this world. I am very open minded open different aspects of science while keeping a good faith. I don't see why the bing bang couldn't of happened, or why we couldn't of evolved from some prehistoric ape like ancestor, because I see it as it is all part of God's plan, and that he works in very mysterious ways. I hop you don't read and respond to these comments in any mean or hateful ways. I am just putting my

  • @FallenThursday

Yes, it's possible that an intelligent force could be behind the creation of the universe...it's possible, but it takes evidence. So far we haven't seen any.

I like the idea of "something" being out there, I'm just convinced it isn't a personal, man-god! Every culture has 1, & there's a number of reasons why the Xian 1 fails! For one thing, I see the Judeo/Xian god as evil! Much evidence 4 that in the OT, & in the New, with the Hell issue.

Btw, why would god need to threaten us?

  • @sixkiller111 two cents in on the matter and I hope you take these words in with an open mind and at least try to understand where I am coming from. I hope the two of us could have a civil chat on the matter if you do so choose too. I am 16. I have been to Medjugorje, and I have had many things in my life go bad and only get worse (mother has cancer and sister is a drug addict) yet I believe God has a plan set in motion on the matter.

God believes in you even when you don't believe in him.

  • @FallenThursday

Oh, I have an open mind, many years of experience, & a healthy amount of study. That's how I graduated to atheism!

Do you have an open mind? Could evidence/proof, cause you to change your mind? Or are U one of those people who says, "I know the answers. I have them all in this book. You can't tell me anything!" Btw, does that sound like U?

My non-belief came after 50 years. Why? Bcuz I decided to read the bible thoroughly for the 1st time! Then 1 thing led to another.

  • @Cootabux

    cootafool

My non-belief came after 50 years. Why? Bcuz I decided to read the bible thoroughly for the 1st time! Then 1 thing led to another.

So you were religous for 50 years and then read a small protion of the bible and decide God is not who you want to serve and spend vast amounts of time attacking a God you say is evil or does not exist. Silly hopeless man.

Your heart is as stone and your mind is dull

  • @Cootabux

you say you have an open mind, many years of experience, & a healthy amount of study. That's how I graduated to atheism!

You were a relious idiot and now you are a heathen idiot

No peace for you my friend and you will bow down your knee to God in the end.

Jesus loves you and you deny the truth.

  • @FallenThursday

well said but a man must being willing to believe in God

coota or 66killer is a enemy of God while claiming wisdom

  • @FallenThursday

    Sixkiller is my sub.

I'm too impatient and arrogant? Ha, ha! You know you don't have an answer for prayer failing! I do! No one's there to answer!

Pull your head out for a minute & think! I didn't see one, not one amputee healed...ever! If god heals cancer, & every other type of disease, he can't certainly restore a limb. JC did it in his day, according to scripture.

Besides, he said pray, believe it, & it will be answered! He didn't say maybe, if I feel like it! It don't happen!

  • Atheists can you name 5 famous atheist leaders that had brought this world to a better place to live?

Many atheists insisted that religion have nothing to do with one's moral and ethical standard and have no contribution in our society (some even said that the religion damaged it)

  • hmm lets see (i chose some of the more famous ones)

    Aristotle

    Plato

    Stephen Hawking

    Galileo

    Sigmund Freud

i could go on, as you may notice many are philosophers, i didn't go into political leaders as what one person sees as a great political leader "who made the world a better place" another sees in the opposite light

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln just to name a few where atheists, as your profile states you are American, i assume you would see these as great atheists

  • Washington ,lincoln and Jefferson were not atheist and only theists try to claim them as part of their ilk. Hawking and freud have not improve the world and have in fact coused much harm.

I will do some reserch on the others before I comment. I have atheist seem to call anyone an atheist if they ever say one word about doubting God in their life. Lincoln for example only became a christian after his son died and many other men found God later in life. How you finish is what matters to God

  • i admit i din't research it myself and copied one of many lists i found.

with Hawking and Freud it depends on perspective. I am a scientist so i will have a different opinion to you. I suggest you compile your own list of ones you think are great, there are ones who where publicly athiest listed on Wikipedia, just look up "list of atheists" and there are the links to many different lists.

otherwise we will spend our whole time arguing about who improved the world and who didn't...

  • Su

"Lincoln for example only became a christian after his son died and many other men found God later in life. How you finish is what matters to God"

Y would the big deal be the finish, when some die horrible deaths at 7 years of age, while god lends a deaf ear??

Anyway, no more bullshit...prove your statement!

Btw, a Deist has got nothing to do with believing in your Xian god. I could accept the Deist position, with evidence, but not your Xian claim. I've just seen & experienced too much.

  • Lincoln had stages of life.. When Lincoln came to Springfield, he fell in with some agnostic and skeptical friends who gave him, among other things, Volney's Ruins, a great volume of unbelief which attacked viciously and articulately the Scriptures. By the way, Volney's Ruins has been repudiated on every page, but Lincoln did not know that then. This had a tremendously chilling effect upon his boyhood faith, and he became quite skeptical. "I am not a Christian," he said in the Age of Iron

  • Can you name 45 (only 10% of the population is atheist) religious leaders who made the world a better place to live?

here in one i would disagree with straight away... Jesus (look at the crusades)

as for atheist ones, here we go:

    Clark Adams (19692007)

    Annie Laurie Gaylor (1955)

    A. Philip Randolph, (18891979)

    Zackie Achmat (1962)

    Barbara Smoker (1923)

wasn't that hard to name 5 atheists, and if you don't know what they did, it just shows you are under-educated and should inform yourself.

  • Su

"Atheists can you name 5 famous atheist leaders that had brought this world to a better place to live?"

We went thru teh same crap in another vid. U sound like a broken record.

    Ha, ha, ha!!

Give it up Fundie. Faith (belief, in spite of no evidence) cannot defeat; "reason, logic, common sense, & critical thinking skills."

Regardless of what argument U make, it all goes back to proving your claim! U would have to use evidence in a court of law.

  • Coota

You are like a turd that is sticking to my shorts. you won't go away and you are foul. Haha loo just kinding sort of

    I'm sure U R used to having shitty drawers...U R a Fundie & that speaks 4 itself.

  • pretty girl and inteligent! what a beautiful combination!

  • I wonder how she is in bed?

  • She's hot

  • This woman has lovely eyes.

  • My favorite quote is mine: "I know god exists, but only in the minds of those stupid enough to believe in him."

  • 2Proud2BMe is gone. =(

  • actually, not really. and you obviously don't know about a lot of day-to-day things that are inspired upon religion.

did you know that whenever you write down a number on a check, you're celebrating arabic numerals? HAHAHA.

    you suck.

  • NICE.

  • i'm with einstein on this one! the human intellect has only a limited spectrum of understanding. yet we still ask questions to which we may never know the real answer, either because we run out of time (for whatever reason) or we simply can't understand it. religion provides speculative answers the same way that scientific theories do. if we don't know the correct answers, why argue about who's answer makes the most sense? especially because there is a good possibility that none are true!

  • It's not the answer many of us usually argue over. It's the delivery. Religion vs. science, not God vs. science. Very, very big difference.

  • In a letter Einstein wrote and I quote, "The fanatical atheists, are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who-in their grudge against traditional religion as the opinion of the masses cannot hear the music of the spheres." This is not from me as I have quoted from Albert Einstein.

  • Another quote from Einstein "What seperates me from most so-called atheisrs is a feeling of utter humility toward the unattainable secrets of the harmony of the cosmos."

  • Actually get your facts right Albert Einstein said this and I quote "I'm not an atheist. I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. The problem is so vast for our limited minds. We are in a position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in so many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how.

  • sshira, whatever is responsible for creating reality, will bare no relation to a ridiculous cut and paste Bronze Age myth that does more harm than good...take a look at the news. Einstein's critique could just as easily apply to theists.

  • Why is the only thing atheists talk about is God? Could anyone answer this question. I believe atheists talk about him more than some christians do. That is so weird for someone that believes there is no God.

  • Interesting generalisation. Did it occur to you that when you're talking to someone under the label of 'atheist', the chances are you are currently talking about religion? Likewise, when they're talking to someone calling themselves a Christian (or whatever), chances are they weren't discussing football at the time.

Einstein was an atheist; is he known for his discussions on theology? How often does Stephen Hawking bring up his atheism?

You might consider putting things into context next time ;)

  • Nice vid...I couldn't agree with you more. The more you are willing to step away from religion and look at it objectively, the more easy it becomes to realize what a silly, devisive, controlling, force it is on our society.

  • Religion is mass control, and fear is the adhesive for it all. The fears in religion are so bad that it can trump the fear of death itself. This can knock a person's sense of survival out of whack, in which like a drug, can make a person dependent on it for (what they think) is their "ultimate" survival. When people start worrying about an after life, they can't exist ethically in their current life.

Religion is a vice, and as with any vice, the ends do not justify the means.

  • I looked at this verse in the Holy Bible. Used many different translations. NONE says any such thing. I goggled the verse you gave and found it is in reference to the "psalms of Veyanne" and Jack Huberman. It's definitely not any part of Psalm 5, any Psalm, or any part of the Holy Bible.

  • For those of you who believe the bible is the complete word of God, I thought I 'd share these verses with you. "For I have done your bidding, I have slain mine enemies in your name, I have put women and children to death in your honor, I have caused great pain among them, for your glory." Psalms 5:verses 4 - 10. There are several other passages like this one, read for yourself.

  • oops, im logged in my other account right now but check out my vids on my other account.. boostoheaven

  • first of all, i love you... even though you bash on the creator of all... and he does to. we are not slaves, we have the choice. and if we choose to love Jesus. than that means we were not too ignorant to open our minds and souls to the possiblity of a perfect creator and his love and promises. once you do it, there is no question. watch my videos, and see. I WASNT ALWAYS LIKE THIS BUT TRUST ME ITS THE MOST REAL THING THERE IS... PERIOUD

  • ...just try to think about where your life is headed. let me ask you this, could you spend an eternity left alone to your own thoughts? why now? i garuantee you your last breathe on earth is your first breathe in the afterlife. i know all i want to do is sing night and day holy holy holy n e wayz hope i dont sound like a crazy person and if one aethiest here actually understands what im saying that would just beee GRANNNDDD

  • also wanted to attempt to explain a thought process i had awhile back that converted me to christianity. and basically its like this- religion is slavery of the mind no doubt but no matter what your always going to have a set a beliefs that controls your behavior and thoughts. whether it be aethiesm take your pick theyre all obviously contradictory and man made in that sense. without a relationship with christ the mind is set to self destruct- i cant even really get intowhythatistrue....

  • "a life without christ is a wasted life"

  • Great song too, I love modest mouse.

  • okay so im guessing Horus Attis Krishna Dionysus Mithra loves us all too???

these people also did was and is EVERYTHING

    Jesus was ever was.

look these names up and the similarity is ASTOUNDING!!!

  • Jesus loves you all. Even if you don't believe in him. He's watching you and touching himself.
