(Danielle here) Funnily enough I've never encountered this type of meditation. I did it last night and found feeling the body more intuitive than focusing on the breath. Favourited so I can make it a more regular practice!
is the point of the minds eye to be able to see things more clearly? cus when i astral project/dream or have been meditating for like 40 mins a may see a small image appear in front of me for some seconds with my eyes closed, can be anything. or is visualising just seeing\thinking it in your head?
I just watched all 23 videos plus these last two on meditation. The meditation is somewhat similar to Transcendental Meditation Technique. You've done a tremendous service with these videos. I hope to one day be able to repay you for your service...Take care man...
@Str8RippinEm I think soft music you like could help you in the initial stages, as a beginner. But as you get more comfortable with it, its better to go without, as the whole point is to eventually clear your mind from all thoughts...but that takes practice. Ken Wilber also has some tapes called Big Mind which are supposed to be very good, although I haven't used them yet.
"The minds eye", I have head this from another great meditation teacher, Roy Masters...what is the significance of using the "Minds Eye"? Is it because that is where thoughts are produced and by visualizing, you are gaining control of your mind? and by feeling body parts, you are gaining control of the body?
Then focus on your hands. That is the most sensitive area. And what you are looking for is a feeling of really anything - energy, heat, cold, pain, sweat, aching, pleasure...any sensation to get you in touch with your body. Keep practicing, you will get there!
thank you i was painting while i was doing this and i do feel better have a great day oh and by the way im 50 soon and have had bi polar since i was 19 long journey, art has sure helped me get through life.
Thanks Jan. I know they won´t get the hits the others do, but I think a few simple meditation videos were necessary, especially with where my new videos will be going. I´ll be posting a 'summary' video next week, covering all of my major points up to now.
come on man.. can't teach vipassana in 10 minutes.. you need at least 30 hours of observing breath just to calm down the mind to get to a state where one can know to observe bodily sensations properly.
I see where you are coming from, but personally, I think you can observe the some sensations immediately. Deep, trauma releasing sensations, no. But that´s not my objective. The point here is simply to slow the mind of the beginner meditator, not even to stop it. No, its not perfect, but its a better start than most of my audience will ever learn using other techniques.
I really wonder how you can go through having bipolar disorder and not taking any medications to control it!

@IgorMorais666 To start, I never considered myself to have a mental disorder, I just had an experience that looks very similar to people who do.

@loathi That's why I teach it. I find it the easiest and offers the fastest results! Try 100 hours of it in a Vipassana retreat!

I'm not bipolar, but this does wonders. Better than the majority of meditation videos I've checked out in quite a while :)
