Why is there a fence around the Devil's Tree?

There's no probable way for anyone to "enter" said tree.

The idea is simply preposterous.

Legend has it if you try and cut the tree down, you end up dead (I'm paraphrasing of course). The township got tired of people trying that, so they put up a fence to stop axes and chainsaws.

The Playground is Newer, as they built an elementary school in the middle of the grounds.. Its really actually a creepy ass place, but he missed the best part... Their is a grave yard on the grounds that has graves marked from the early 1800's...

wow, the first house is the one me and my friennds went into see the wooden door, we pulled it open and went up the stairs and then we heard a metal door slam we thought it was the door w opened but it wasnt, then we started to hear wierd noices and something that sounding like screaming, fucked up place

the exercise thing at 1:23 was made for the firemen and police in the area, not for the asylum or NPDC as we call it here. i live right near there, and there is also a mass grave in a rectangle of huge pine trees near the sod field. crazy shit went down there.

hahaha my bro went to the devils tree at night in his truck and he sat there by the tree and waited for people to come by and when they did he would turn on these red fog lights and chase people away well he was about to chase this one guy and his truck stopped working and the battery went flat but he finally got away i guess he learned his lesson

for anyone who lives in Nj and is going on a wierd NJ road trip- i've been to many Wierd NJ sites-including skillman asylum-i must warn u DO NOT drive onto the property and park there cuz the town police patrol that place like crazy and if u go off the main road into one of the dilapadated houses like i did they could call the state police---so park outside then walk in cuz we only got to go in one house b4 the cop told found us and told us the rule
