Very reflective video. Yes, A LOT can happen in a decade. 2020 is a big year for our family. Our oldest will be coming home from his mission, our 2nd will be graduating HS, our 3rd will be getting her license and our baby will be getting ready for science camp. hopefully with someone i want to spend the rest of my life with, with some of the same friends i have now, and loads of new ones. with a career i'm proud of, and something solid i can put my name to. and one thing that i can look back on and say, hey, i was proud of that. in 10 years time i still want to be this optimistic about life in general, and keep the faith that things can get better.

people are completely petrefied that they have no idea what the future may hold. so we say the future is either unknown or bad. but maybe the future is good. we can see that more hurt will come from the new year, or you can see that hurt from 2009 will heal to some extent. i want the world to know 5 minutes, simply 5, of peace. just to have that fanttastic feeling. many people do not understand that if all we have is peace, we won't know because we do not know chaos or war.

Things I wanna do this decade
-move to LA
-Go to school for film
(those two are things I hope to happen by June '11)
and for mid/later decade, I hope to be a successful director before I turn 30 in December '19

I will be 25 in 2020. I hope to be graduating from a medical school and on my way to becoming a great neurosurgeon. Or I would like my life to take the total opposite direction and be an actor in Hollywood working with Kristen Stewart or Rob Pattinson. 10 years later ill be 22. i hope to be in the last year at oxford university. i also expect to have many scientific and literal and possibly art degrees. i also hope to have my book so as i see it on bookstore shelves by then.
In 10 years i'll be 29 and I think that this years experience will change me the most. I'll go to the UK as an au pair. And I hope that I'll have a family and I would love it if my book gets published. =)

OMG you are so right. Those same questions are the ones that scare me every day. I'll be 27 in 10 years and there mere thought of what will happen in the next 10 years is just overwhelming since I can't see myself that far along and I cant even imagine myself being a full grown adult. oh gosh, i'll be 27 in ten years...that sounds so weird. well, i'll be graudated from colgate university for sure, maybe from grad school? law school if that. if not, hopefully i'll be working in public relations for fashion designers, or be on some position at a magazine

Take it from a someone who will be 38 in 10 years time and just randomly fell on to this vid. You hope to be the best you can be for yourself and your family. If this is too difficult to imagine then just tell yourself that you will not regret what you do today tomorrow. And if you do- then it better be for a really gd reason. ;) Good luck guys for 2010. (And just accept that you will get older-fast..enjoy every minute of it.)

hm in 10 years i will have graduated from texas A&M and will be tring to start my own vet clinic, hopefully have my own house (with a library and a huge kitchen), an F250...horses, definitely horses... wow thats kinda scary...thinking about the future hmm I just want to be able to look back on my life and be able to truthfully tell myself I've lived my life to its fullest

I hope that by 2020 I'll have gotten at least a billion boyfriends. Because I'm a month from being 20 and still single, and I don't want to be thinking that 10 years from now. xD Oh, and I also better have a degree and a job.
But what I really hope, is that we humans don't do anything stupid, like trying to live on the Moon : clean planet Earth before you start polluting some other place.

And don't you ever start thinking these videos are lame! They have made my days for many, many times. And I expect you to keep doing that, son. (think of a toothless 120-year-old man, with a long, white beard saying that, not me; an 18-year-old girl ^^ )

gosh it has been crazy, just think we can tell our kids and grand kids, we were alive we remember 9/11, war against terror, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Michael Jackson's death, Obama's inauguration. alot of things had happen that will always remain in the history books.

Letsee, in the next ten years I hope to have graduated with a degree in business, web design, and graphic design resulting in my own design firm. I hope to have found love and be engaged/married or close to it. I hope to have made a positive difference in the lives around me and that I'll still be good friends with the best friends I have now.

in ten years i will be 26. i hope to be newly or newlyish married or planning a wedding, i want to be a young bride. i don't know why, i just do :P
i will be a partner at a dentistry office and recently i found an interest in writing, maybe i'll pursue that in the next decade...i hope to still be in touch with my best friend, if not living in the same area as her.i'll have a house, a car, loved ones, and still be as much of a bubbly dork as i am now.

Wow! That was honestly moving! I hope in 10 years I am helping people and just giving back as much as I can do no matter what it costs my life as long as someone benefits positively. I just want to follow my dreams in singing, photography, and ministries and all I can do is hope for the best I can't promise anyone anyhting anything but I can try. I will be 25 in 2020. I hope to be graduating from a medical school and on my way to becoming a great neurosurgeon. Or I would like my life to take the total opposite direction and be an actor in Hollywood working with Kristen Stewart or Rob Pattinson. Anyway, I hope I will continue to write my poetry, no matter what goes on, and hope I'm still alive because you never know what can happen in ten years...wow I've been reading too many books. Oh, and that I will still be a reader because I love books and I they became my friends. AWKWARD!

There are tons of things I want to do, but to narrow it down to just a few: I want to marry my boyfriend (he wants to get married as soon as we get out of highschool), I want to have finished my book, I want to have travelled to Europe, and I want to be on my second child at least (I want lotsa kids! ^w^).
I should take a page from your book and make a video such as this. It would be fantastic to look back at myself now... *goes off to make vid*

Come 2020 I'll have been 26 for just over 10 days.
Being a person who always looks to the past, in this next decade I'm hoping start focusing on the present and future, accomplishing my dreams, and living as best I can.
By 2020 I really hope to be a published author, own my own home (with a turret and personal library lol), and most importantly, BE HAPPY. I also want to travel, and maybe, just maybe, fall in love.

OMG you are so right. Those same questions are the ones that scare me every day. I'll be 27 in 10 years and there mere thought of what will happen in the next 10 years is just overwhelming since I can't see myself that far along and I cant even imagine myself being a full grown adult. It's exciting but it's damn scary and your video inspired me A LOT! to not be afraid of what's to come and to just embrace it but always staying true to yourself and your feelings without letting yourself down.
