im sick of seeing big name artists/bands thinking that there music belongs to them. in my opinion if your lucky enough to be a person/band who's music is widely known and very well liked then you must acknowledge the fact that your music has become a personal part of the lives of the people who listen to it and buy your albums and that makes the music not yours anymore. at this point the music takes on a life of its own and belongs to the world.

And here's another point:when i started listening to Prince's music in the early eighties,guess what,I was living in a country and at a time when I COULDN'T BUY ANY OF HIS LP's (Romania, Communist regime).And there were and are others just like me.These people are his fan base too,and the first opportunity they have,they are going to pay a ticket to one of his concerts(I did,it was 400 pounds !!).I could have BOUGHT all his original LP's with that sum,and then donate the rest to JehovasW.Dig?

NBC/Universal just killed one of my videos, too. It was a two-minute excerpt from Saturday Night Live. What the hell was the harm in it? What, are they afraid people are going to go, "Gee, I don't need to watch SNL now, I already saw a two-minute clip on YouTube"? If anything, little clips like that serve as effective advertisements for the program.

Universal has some seriously overzealous copyright enforcement personnel, and it's doing them more harm than good.
