Is this from the Monkee's special "33 1/3 Monkeys Per Revolution?" If so, wasn't that taped in '67 or '68? I have the VCR tape release of it, but it's in storage in another state, and I'm not able to look at it for reference.
I remember whenever it was said by someone that when Jerry Lee Lewis went to make his record they said he would never get big. No one wants to see someone play piano they want guitars. Well, that guy sure was wrong!! :)
only thing i know is fats domino, little richard, james brown and many others was also in this show where they played randomly in the 60's and jerry rocked them all off stage ;)
Let's see Elton John play that solo - Hah! These are my favorite moments of seeing Jerry Lee play - he was truly one of a kind, and a force of nature on his instrument!
It's impressive how Jerry's live performances improved in voice tone from 50's to early 60's. In many 1957 TV records performancwe he sing not well as on this 60's veideo.
Awesome !!!!
