I have a quantum array 30. I use spiderwire 8 lb and have an uglystick 5'10 med. I can cast pretty far with it. Idk where to get this stuff or I'd try it

its not about distance its about accuracy like they say size doesn't matter its how you use it

Line does matter. I fish on shore so it matter alot. That extra distance help you cover more water, where there would be fish holding some day.

@stinkypantsAZ The main reason for making far casts is when you are fishing shallow clear water you dont want to troll up close to where the fish are because you will spook them. So, being able to make those far cast will help land you more fish from shallow water hide outs. However, accuracy is 100% priority added with presentation. But big open water shallow water flats where you would be throwing a Zara Spook, buzz bait, etc... accuracy really isnt an issue
