  • That scared me when he took the chicken of the roaster...I didn't expect that probe...!

  • "Now, is this cast iron?"

    "Yes, it is cast iron..."

"Wow, cast iron is hot in France!"

  • so i guess if you don't have a clue what you are talking about but dress nice and appear feminine and impressed you can interview established people who do know what they are doing. How do I sign up?

  • get rid of rust by rubbing oil onto it? i'd suggest some light steal wool and then oil onto it.

btw, i'll stick with my American Lodge cast iron and maybe their line of ceramic cast iron.

  • I love Lodge bare cast iron, but the enamel finished line is made in China.

  • Using an abrasive like steel wool, would only serve to remove the fired enamel surface, and make the tiny amount of possible rust worse.

  • hahaha "french" oven.

    I love it

  • I will stick to American made'' Lodge'' for all my cast iron.

  • Both these guys clearly voted for gay marriage.

  • also to be used as a buttplug!

  • I bought a 29cm oval cocotte a short while ago, and the lid didn't fit properly. The supplier tried all their stock and found the same problem. Apparently this is not unusual with Staub, but other makes don't seem to have this problem, their lids fit perfectly. I returned the pot and got a refund.

Has any one else had lid problems?

  • we all know a cast iron "can" go in the dishwasher.

but if you think it "should" go in the dishwasher....any cast iron ever, for any reason. you need to learn how to clean it.

harshest thing mine ever get is a kosher salt and canola oil scrub. and thats only when its really really bad

  • You can dishwasher this iron! It has a coating on it!

  • The frenchman said his cast iron cookware could be cleaned in the dishwasher =0 !!

  • Those crazy frenchmen! Guess he figures it'll increase sales. o.0

  • Staub cookware is excellent. I used to sell it at Sur Le Table. The colors are really vibrant. In my opinion, they are much nicer pans than Le Creuset. The "Grenadine" is really an awesome color. I have 5 pieces in that color.
